Didn't know 3 of the 9 things. I didn't know any of the CZcams shopping info; the fact that you can earn money from CZcams shorts content without being officially monetized; and I didn't know you could block certain types of ads, which I will definitely use when I get monetized.
Ironically, I learned a lot of the other information from your other videos.
Those were the ones I didnât think even very seasoned people would know. And I still have enough material for a Top 15 version of this.

I knew all but one of these things, but it was a good refresher. Extent of the sign-up accuracy mattering was the one thing I wasn't aware of, but I knew it was important to a degree.
I'm close to 1k subs and I only started to focus on my channel the last six months or so. It began as a fun hobby where I started recording my motorbike rides and I was blown away by how much people enjoy that type of content. Anyway, now I'm focusing on better content and more unique stuff that separates me from the rest. Adding humor, cinematic elements, etc. Not many people do that in my niche so we'll see! My goal is full-time on this gig. One day.

Helpful hint from someone who just hit their first 1000 subscribers yesterday (me! đ)! I had plateaued at ~850 subscribers for around 5 months⊠then I happened to discover that CZcams shorts were a GREAT way to get a lot of exposure, and managed to add that final 150 subscribers in just 3 days. Moral of the story here⊠if you have some interesting content (in my case some awesome fighter jet footage from the blue angels air show), itâs ok to post full videos on your page, but definitely consider breaking it up into short 15 second clips (if you want to add music in the CZcams editor) and try and make your titles as catching as possible! Good luck to everyone grinding it out! Hope you hit your goals in record time!

I just started 5 months ago, my content has been pretty sporadic but I've done ok, I've had everything from 14k views to flops at less than 100 and every thing in between, I've not had any plan or anything, my content is a very energetic unscripted style of reviews etc, I get positive feedback and good engagement on much of my stuff but struggle to get exposure, I'm realising that I need to learn ALOT to be successful, so happy I stumbled into this channel, going to commit a day to mine your channel for knowledge and take notes đ

It even does it on other devices. I think it's just subtle but it is noticeable if you listen close. It's not every bit of b-roll but only some. They get money from the shorts creator fund but itâs not a lot. But sometimes they put less into making videos and are done by young people so money is different to them and they would rather sometimes have attention

Not much but I've been paid $11 every month since getting monetized, not sure but think it's high relative to other channels my size because my niche is personal finance.
Personal finance can be $20-$40 CPM
They never sent me a 10-99, not sure why, I get my money. I messed up on my original channel, typed in josh, instead of Joshua like on my ID, totally screwed up my monetization and had to start a new channel and do it all again. Be careful on that one folks, I know some people work for years to get 1k subs.

I am not looking forward to tax time this year lol being a monetized CZcamsr and self employed means a lot of money will be going out but it does no matter what we do really.
I'm from Australia. Any money that I earn from videos viewed in America are taxed by the American government before being paid to me. Then, with what is left I have to pay tax on to the Australian government. LOL

I find it very unusual what you said about needing to physically be in the same location as your AdSense address, when applying for it. Surely not everyone is doing that?!
We live in a world now where people move around all the time and create content from all over the world. I could maybe understand the same country, but even the same state?!
It seems what you're alluding to is they will somehow verify your IP address that you made the application from, as presumably that's the only way they can determine your physical location. If so, won't people simply use VPNs?
As someone who's from the UK, I was thinking of creating my new YT account here in the UK, then creating content abroad, with hope of making the YPP. In this situation, would you recommend applying for the AdSense as soon as I've created the new YT account? (so while I'm still at home in the UK)...

In my situation, I was going to create my new YT account and YT channel here while still in the UK so that I can prep/brand it, then create all my content abroad while traveling.

@@RobertoBlake I mean i started filming like a little bit more than month ago so this is going pretty awesome. Mostly got watch hours from my 2 videos that went a little bit viral. One video got 44k views,another 37k views but still got lot of other videos 10k+ and more than 1k others.

The views coming in only stayed for very short periods. And my rmp goes to next to nothing. Videos that should make $300 plus make $50
i have 600 subs but only 200 hours cause they keep getting deleted since i took a break from uploading đ«

@@RobertoBlake I haven't changed my strategy in the seven years that I've been making videos on my channel which is stupid if I'm honest. That's why 4,000 watch hours is unrealistic for me. My channel can be used as an example of how to NOT grow a channel. Congrats on your continued success!

Itâs not fixed itâs a range because it depends on whether they are product driven channel or not and whether their audience is younger or more mature and what country the viewers tend to be from. Itâs also different if itâs beauty and fashion vs beauty and lifestyle and the range is HUGE without knowing those things
