About "Stray"
Lost, alone and separated from family, a stray cat must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten city.
Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed, neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. Roam surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by curious droids and dangerous creatures.
See the world through the eyes of a cat and interact with the environment in playful ways. Be stealthy, nimble, silly, and sometimes as annoying as possible with the strange inhabitants of this mysterious world.
Along the way, the cat befriends a small flying drone, known only as B-12. With the help of this newfound companion, the duo must find a way out.
Stray is developed by BlueTwelve Studio, a small team from the south of France mostly made up of cats and a handful of humans. - Hry
Don't cry...did you know at the ending the stray cat sniffs wanna know why? He sniffs because he smells his family then exited out the city.

Definitely one of the most emotional endings of a game
I was crying as well but B12 may come back soon as a Stray 2 might be coming soon and right before the credits you can see a screen flashing which could mean B12 is in the network and can control the whole city.

as a timed traveler i can tell you there are no signs of stray 2 coming out
This is the first time i cried because of the game. I watched the end in another youtuber but i didnt cry. Then i saw this in ur channel and ur voice is so emotional in that part which made me cry a bit❤

I found this channle RIGHT after i finished stray cause i looked up if there was gonna be a second game and i saw that short you made and watched this play thru i also bawled my eyes out and i subscribed i absoluteoy love that everyone loves b-12
This is one of the most affecting games I've played in a long time. I admit I teared up at the very end after the cat walked away. When it looked back and said goodbye to the city and its inhabitants, I realized that it was saying goodbye to me as well. There's so much of the story of the world that is hinted at, but isn't fully explained, but I'm sure that's intentional. Why were the walled cities constructed? How many of them were there and what happened to the others? How long has it been since the city was closed? (There are some videos on CZcams that attempt to address this.) What caused the plague in this city? It's assumed that the bacteria that was created to consume the waste got out of control and evolved into the Zurks. How did that happen? What's with the giant eyes? Is it some sort of hive intelligence that evolved? How did the Companions achieve sentience and why do they mimic human behavior? Why did the Companions in the control center not change at all? Will the Companions be able to leave the city and, if so, what will they find? Will our hero reunite with the other cats? Why is the cat seemingly sentient and able to understand language?
And, of course, will there be a sequel and what will be the plot? I'm sure there will be pressure and temptation on the part of BlueTwelve Studio and Annapurna Interactive to develop a sequel but I don't know if this really *needs* a sequel. It's about perfect the way it is. Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the combat sequences but that's a minor complaint. While I'd love to get answers to all those questions, I'm just happy this game exists and that I got to experience it. If they do make a sequel, I hope they take their time and do it right rather than rush something to market because of money.
Whether a DLC or even a part 2 happens, I'm more than happy with the game itself as well! game was beautifully made! Been a while since I've connected to a story game just like this, one of my favorites this year. Whatever BlueTwelve decides to do, I'm supporting them 100%! haha amazing questions btw, wish i had some of those answered for me as well!
@HolidayJZ I wouldn't get my hopes up for a part 2 of this game. From what I understand they used an actual cat to create the movements of the cat in the game, and naturally the cat was not having any of it. Needless to say it was a pain the rump, so they probably won't be making another one🤣

The place where Ginger gets out of the City is very closer to the place where the story begins. Soon Ginger gets back to its family.

I loved this game too! Thanks for the playthrough. Don't feel too bad about the ending. I came across a video by SDK which uses a lot of in-game details to calculate the journey Stray makes to cross the city. By working out the distance between the windows you can see across from the control room, the exit might be just a few metres from where we were split from our cat friends.

I played this game over xmas. Just bought it as something to do over the holiday period but wow... this is an incredible concept... loved the future/retro vibes and amazing storyline.... Stray 2 would indeed be amazing... I wonder what they could do to connect it to the first one? I've only played a few games since the 90s but this must rank with the very best, along with Inside/Limbo, The Swapper, Battlezone, Thief and a few others...

It is sad but remember... B12 isn't the robot, it's the memory. He's digital. The B12 drone was just a body for him to occupy. He is still alive which was what those flickering screens were right at the end before the credits! The saddest part is we don't see Stray reunited with his friends.
