    All great designers will sometimes break rules. But there are some dos and don’ts for web design that should always be followed. In today’s video, we’re sharing 30 tips from a web designer that will level up your website design skills and workflow. So, whether you’re new to web design or an experienced developer, we’re sure there are some web designer tips in here that will help you in your next project. If not, share a tip or some web design best practices that you know that might help your peers in the comments below!
    Some of the professional web design tips that we’ll be covering in today’s video are the golden ratio in website design, images, whitespace, font tips in web design, style guides, color tips in web design, responsive web design, flexbox, and animations. Over the years, designing for the web has evolved from its code-based roots. Today, it’s gotten much easier and quicker to design websites. In some of these web designer tips and tricks that I’ll be sharing I’ll be referencing an amazing website builder that I’ve been using for the last year, and that’s Wix Studio (previously known as Editor X). If you’re not comfortable coding, I highly encourage this tool for designing your next site.

    1:29 For people looking into web development, it's better to do a "font-size: 162%" or try to use relative units (rem/em). If you use pixel units, you will overwrite the default font-size of someone's browser (for example, ppl with bad eyesight could have their default font-size set to extra large). Using px is a great way to learn the basics, but always be carefull. Also: great tutorial, love the tips and tricks!

    Wow! Your top comment on here already says it, but this is such a hidden gem. This is by far the best tips video for design I have seen. So practical and to the point. The video editing alone is perfect and really highlights the design principals discussed.

      Hi, I'm Hannah, a website developer and manager, I view the world through the lens of a problem solver and troubleshooter. It's my job to make sure that websites are up and running smoothly, and to quickly address any issues that come up. I have to be both technical and creative, as I work with the website code, while also considering the overall user experience and aesthetic. Been getting into Wix Studio (Editor-X's cousin so to speak) and have run into a few of your videos. That said, this one made me hit the SUBSCRIBE button. I'll look into the COMMUNITY thing as time permits. Anyway thanks for sharing your gifts.

    This video was helpful but I got a question, when it comes to images what is the most practical way to insert images in my website?
    I'm using jsp on Netbeans to design a website for my uncle's job and I'm a bit confused on what is the best approach to insert images, is it just a simple tags or do I have to code something in css or javascript?

    • @CreativeCrewCommunity
      @CreativeCrewCommunity  Před 8 měsíci

      Yep, tags are usually best for images, unless it's for aesthetic, then you might use CSS to make it a background image.
