Jamie and Sherpa had some wonderful wanders in the old white van. There are quite a few of us from "back in the day" still faithfully following. They are literally part of my extended family. Love them.

Yes I have one for my caravan and I’m very short on space in there and that’s exactly what I do! I put it out at night and leave to drip dry then put away in the morning so looks good! ❤

As big as the draining rack is, you can always put it in a cupboard when not in use, encourages you to dry the dishes too plus it’s a lot cheaper than having to buy a new worktop!! I love your new home and how it’s making you and Sherps happy. You dun good Jamie. Stay safe xx
I love that Sherpa's pooping spot is as far away from the house as possible, just to make you walk the furthest possible & turn a relatively quick poop-a-scoop job into a longer one!!
It is Sherpa's responsibility to ensure his person exercises.
Keeps the smell far from the home. Train them to relieve themselves in one area
My last dog and my current one (my 5th rescue) they both would not poo within 2 acres of our living space, it’s fantastic also it’s on 16 acres and it’s bush so I don’t even have to clean it up, so no smell and it composts naturally with the leaf litter, I have never stepped in any and it’s not the same spot but nearby. It’s just like Wolves and some other animals go as far away from their den as possible.

I did think she and her fella would have helped Jamie though or at least had Sherpa for a few hours for Jamie not to have to worry bout him with the back and forth! But I did think Sarah could have helped move boxes in her car or just help him pack up and clean a he got packed up , but I guess we all have our differences with how families do stuff! She probably busy working! As long as Jamie and Sherpa are having fun and enjoying that’s all we really want! I bet a load of fans would have helped if he’d really needed it!
@@suzannedavies2480I’m sure she helped off camera. As I don’t think she is really comfortable on camera all the time. There’s a lot of hours in a day, and Jamie doesn’t film 24 hrs a day.

You don't realise how much 'stuff ' you have until you move 😄. Your lovely new house is looking really homely now and Sherpa looks so super relaxed there. You could get some opaque decals or stripes to put on the glass doors to prevent Sherpy walking into them, you can get them especially for glass doors.
In Sweden, the most common dog fence are Metal Composter /compost grille. They are awesome and last for years. I use them in my garden too, but to give my cat a chance to get away from the fluff monster.
Watching Sherpa sleep in his garden and be content will never grow old. Better than serotonin! 😊

A garden is fantastic for dogs. Seeing them just taking naps outside is great. Had a dog that loved summer since we could have our doors open and she just went outside and inside just as she pleased, taking naps in bed or on grass, eating a bit, the drinking out of a barrel collecting rainwater. Doggy heaven!
Thanks for sharing memories of your dog. Most of us have said "...had a dog" or "...had a cat," and I remember my cat. She was an inside cat and never tried to go out of the door when I opened it. However, I left it open a little too long one day and off she went. I nearly had a heart attack. She went under the edge of a shed next door and just looked at me. I got the box with her dry kibble in it, shook it, and gently coaxed her out enough where I could reach down and pick her up. Oh, what a relief that was to hold her in my arms once again. I had my Emily for 19 years, and that was the only time she slipped out the door. I still miss her even though it's been 10+ years.

Jamie, you could put a picket fence just on the outline of where the concrete ends - that way it will separate the drive from the garden and Sherps will be secure 🐾💕 you could then either creosote or paint the fence. Congratulations on your lovely new home - it looks lovely 😊

Sherpa says he wants, needs and deserves at least one thick mattress for his painful bones and joints, please! ❤ One for sleeping in your bedroom, one for the hangout part of the house to be with you and at least one outside. Seriously, thin little dog pads don't do squat for big pups like him. We put sofa cushions on the floor for our big pup as he got older and what a huge difference in his pain relief and sleep quality. ❤ ❤ ❤ 👍 👋

I just read a response Jamie wrote to someone concerned about Sherpa's bedding. Jamie explained that he had four nice big beds for Sherpa but that Sherpa chooses to sleep on the floor or one of his cool mats. With thick fur like Sherpa has, he probably gets too hot in a big bed.
@@lindakaymills8746That's it - our dog sometimes sleeps on the kitchen tiles on hot evenings. He has at least 1 padded dog bed on a thick rug in every room, but he chooses the cool floor!
@@lindakaymills8746 Ah, okay, thank you! ❤ I'm overly conscious of joint pain in pets because of our beloved Black Lab. I forgot that Sherpa has quite a bit more fluff! For coolness, we used to have a large, water filled pad called a Chillow. I got one first for me hot flashes, lol. They began making larger ones for large dogs and now I see a few brands on the market.

I can’t get enough of your new house videos! I love watching you decorate and make the garden safe for Sherpie! Your telephone light (so cool, btw) and table look perfect in that spot! The dish drainer you can always store underneath sink after use and your tv would look great on the wall under the light. I agree with you about not wanting to cover up your beautiful window! Jamie there are dish racks you can place across your sink so it doesn't take up counter space. You can also wall mount your TV on a swing arm mount.

Its amazing how much stuff we end up storing - I always get the feeling that packing up and clearing is never going to end - and then it does. such a sense of acheivement at the end - No wonder Sherps is sleeping so much - he must be shattered from all that hard work 😉😂

Beautiful place! It’s really nice to see you both enjoying it 😀 About options for the driveway, there are several. A combination raised gardens/low iron gates would be nice. A low wooden gate would be nice too (raised gardens in corners). I see “gates” rather then a fence because you would have the option to open them up when not needed. Planters/Chicken wire/mesh can do temporarily. I know you will find something 👍

The house is gorgeous, and it's so nice to see you and Sherpa finally able to settle down someplace more permanent. It had to have been rough in that tiny little trailer/whatever it was. You have more room, Sherpa has more freedom and both Big and Little Red can breathe more freely. Plus, you're further from the road, which means less traffic noise. Much love from the States.

00:41 a wooden fence, maybe the post and 3/4 horizontal slat type with the gaps so it doesn't look too enclosed? Along the edge of the grass with a left turn to the corner of the house being a gate? Maybe with a bigger van sized gate in the middle so you can still drive onto the grass?

Love the long rug idea but I think it should be red so Sherpa can make a red carpet entrance! 😊❤ Edit: if you want to move the TV you can get a cord cover that you can paint the same color as the walls... they usually come in white. You could get heavy duty command hooks to hang the mirror just make sure the weight is right.
Those heavy duty Command hooks work really well. I've used them before.
I cannot overstate how much I LOVE seeing Sherpa relaxed out on his own big lawn. I think he really needed this in his life and you two seem so much better suited to a place like this. Love the telephone lamp too!

Angle your tv stand in the corner maybe? I like the tall plant idea by it, to soften the strong edges of displaying a tv. 😊
You can always put the dish drainer rack away when not in use, and put it on the countertop when you use it. We have a storage area beneath the sink that we use to store ours. Moving is always tedious, so it was good to provide Sherpa and yourself with a little normalcy. Going for a walk was brilliant! 👏👏👍👍
