Brillianly put. Yeah I tagged in long, long ago on my kitchen PC. Was delighted with original then became a fan of Sherpas Day. Those vids were perfect with morning coffee. Great sights simply breathtaking shown by a wonderful pack of TWO - Jamie and Sherpa.
Oh Jamie, walked in your shoes, paid £4000 +for my furry best friend, they never found out what the issue was, he was 14 when I had to make that decision, I talk to him every day years later. ❤

@@SherpasDay yes, I was with vets for pets and they kept repeating same blood tests etc with nothing showing up. Eventually I had to take him to the nearest pet hospital who kept him overnight until I got the end of life diagnosis and gave me a night to accept it. I didn't have insurance so wiped out all my savings but I'd do it all again tomorrow. He was my best friend and always will be. ♥️
I'm sorry for your loss. Same thing for what was killing my 14yr old cat. Such a sweet cat....miss him daily. Just remember the love and try to be happy.
they seem so clueless sometimes. My boy max got the same as Sherpa, only it was during the latter part of the first lockdown in 2020. I took him in because he had a strange moment, eyes went funny like a mini seizure and he seemed generally slow like he was struggling. They came back saying he was a bit anaemic and maybe his hips were playing up. Well those things don't go together do they but because of lockdown i couldn't afford x-rays on his hips just then. Roll on a number of months and i'm just about to be able to afford the hip x-ray when he has another seizure...this time it's worse but it's just the beginning. Turns into 72 hours plus of hell, at a weekend of course. Dog in near coma, so close to putting him down but some hope due to advice online so kept him going.
After 72 hours he started to come back around and vets arranged for a consultation at a very expensive vet place. Turns out, he has a tumour on his spleen, so I opt to get it removed and somehow it hasn't spread but the news come's back anyway after samples are sent away that it is terminal, the most serious cancer and only about 3 months to live.
Somehow he beat the odds, he is still alive, though blind in one eye and deaf in the ear on that side from the stroke caused by the tumour. The vets clearly had no idea even though they must see dozens of dogs with spleen cancer and it is known as the silent killer. Poor max had an extra 3 or 4 months with that in his body because they failed to spot it during lockdown and it is the biggest miracle out there that he is still with me.
Bless all our poor animals...we do the best we can for them but alas those we pay to help seem to be clutching at straws half the time and greedily taking our money to save our loved ones.
I lost my big boy Benny who was 16 years old he died nearly five years ago but the pain still hurts he had canine dementia that's his photo to the left

Seeing him a little every day became a part of life and i will miss him a lot. ❤
I have seen so many tribute videos from around the world. So many fans are grieving. I still tear up every morning knowing Sherpa’s gone. Jaime, thinking of you and hoping you are staying well. I thought this one would make me sad, but I had to smile at the look on Sherpa's face as Jamie was towing him into the other room on the rug - partly affronted dignity, and partly "actually, this is quite fun".
Even though he is missed, he left us with so many joyful moments.

Dear Jamie, Thank you for sharing Sherpa with us. We truly love him and will never forget him. Whenever I was feeling low, Sherpa and Key always used to make me smile and laugh. Now im sure Sherpa is doing the same up in heaven, while running around pain free. When I saw the video saying that it was time to say goodbye, I was sobbing, crying my eyes out knowing that only Key is lonely and he is the only one that can make us laugh. It is heartbreaking to hear that Key will never be able to hear "Sherpa's coming over" and it will be very confusing for Key, when only one of you comes over. It is very hard for all of us. Sherpa kept us laughing happy throughout the day. And now he has left a void in our hearts that can NEVER be fulfilled. Love you Sherpa.💙💙 Fly high Angel🕊🕊🕊🕊

After all the sadness these past few day has brought it has taught me something very valuable, and that's to be more like Sherpa.
What's wrong with just sitting and looking out at the world, drinking in the vista, being content with what you have and happy to just be yourself.
To tell the people around you just how much you love them, of course not being Sherpa I wont be doing that to random strangers like he did. Yep, being more Sherpa is not a bad thing to be, he had it right. God bless you, you wonderful dog.

I can’t help but notice that while my house isn’t ready for a new puppy (I’m finally getting a pup four years after my Beagle passed), that thanks to Sherpa your house is ready.
Watching you just go through what I experienced four years ago made me admit that I should have gotten another dog right away. I haven’t done much that I could have done with a dog, except maybe a world cruise (which never happened).
Most all pet owners have experienced the loss of their pet, or will. In my case after 19 years, but Sherpa (and you) helped me get through that and four years on.

Until I watched a vlog of sherpie and you on You Tube, and the way you filmed and presented the vlog really captured my heart and the rest is history.

I want you to remember Jamie. The reason you are morning so is because you loved him so. I have seen you take care of you pup-son better than people treat each other. I have several fur babies, huskey included. Most are up in age ranges in age from 1 - 13 years. One of my cats is 1, the other 4, my old girls 13. My Shepard pup 10 and my huskey pup 10. In my life time so far my heart has released 2 cats. So, most of us have lost some dear to our hearts. It is never easy. We always hear, see, or feel something which reminds us of them. The good memories you have of Sherpa will help you along. He would only want the best for his dad. Loving and praying for you from across the pond.
Your instinct to shift things and make good changes is a great comfort for grief. Sherps is approving!

It's hard but it's only a temporary parting. Knowing I'll see all my cat and dog buddies again one day helps me keep going.
I thought this was going to be a hard watch but it was lovely to imagine Sherpa back with you for a while. Love the rug, the first one was a disaster wasn't it lol. You couldn't have done more for him, new house, rugs everywhere, raised feeding station, shelter in the garden, treat hunts on walks, change of cars. Just heard of another youtube couple who lost their australian heeler dog very unexpectedly, he was just 4 years old! Thank goodness you had Sherps for so long. You just never know.

Dear Jamie, I hope you´re doing well as good as the situation allows to. I´m glad you won´t be removing the old videos. It´s hard to watch knowing Sherpa isn´t among us anymore. But it´s also a pleasure to see him when he had better days. I lost my mother three years ago, I always will miss her, the pain will never end, but somehow you learn to cope with it. The things we do for them! My border collie (agility machine) refused to jump into the car because she wanted Dad to pick her up and put her in the back seat. Despite the swearing he always did! Missing them is awful but they never really leave you x

I hadnt watched your videos in a while and the video of Sherpa's passing got put on my home screen, i stopped what i was doing and watched it, i'm just a random guy but i shed some tears for your loss.
Take care of yourself, try and eat and drink well, or atleast something to keep yourself going, you need rest and recovery, you did all you could, you are more then allowed to be sad, but be proud of yourself as well, Sherpa loves everything you did for him.
