      Unifi U6 Lite I get 700mbps consistently using my M1 MacBook Air with Xfinity gigabit internet. Interestingly, this is faster than what I get when using my iPhone 12 which hits max of 600mbps.

    Running a couple U6-LR's for some time now. The range on them is fantastic. The higher gain antennas let them hear really well also. So many people don't understand that antenna gain is bi-directional.

    Thanks for showing the RGB feature... this helped determine if I was going to install in our most occupied area. I was able to see in your demo that it can be turned off. Probably viewed 20 videos trying to see if the light remained on after install.

    I just got around to opening my U6 LR that I picked up when it first hit the EA store. The size of the AP is very similar to the size of the Nano (much smaller than the AP AC Pro). I did not receive an accessory pack but it did come with wall anchors. I also received a very nice POE injector with cable. Also, I do not have the option to change color wheel settings like the official release version of the U6 LR. I will eventually get around to performing iperf test between the AP AC Pro and the U6 LR and compare the stats to your results.

      On old iphone 8 and moto phone U6 lite capped at 130m
      Mb/sec, ac pro 230Mb/s.
      In new Lennar home with ATT fiber 900/900 and ruckus AP getting about 600/600 with HP laptop with Wifi 6. With U6 lite, 450/450. For the price U6 lite not bad for newer devices, but I need U6 LR.

      @@MactelecomNetworks Dont sweat it bro, while it would be a nice comparison, specially sub $200 AP vs $700 APs, its not a big deal. If you have contacts on those companies and they lend them to you would be great, else dont worry, your video was more than enough for me to buy ubiquiti.

    I have a question. Just ordered one of these and I’m wondering if there is any advantage to mounting it on ceiling instead of wall. From a standpoint of signal range reliability.
    Ok make that two questions. Never heard the term Poe injector. But from what I can tell, I won’t need one considering my switch has a few Poe ports. Right?
    Great video! Thanks in advance!

    • @ChristophRomer
      @ChristophRomer Před 3 lety

      Thanks for the quick reply :-)! Do you have any information why they call them „Long Range“? From what I see they mainly have more channels, but I don‘t think this increases the range, right? Do they have better signal to noise ratios which would imply a higher range? From the throughput point of view I would fully agree with your answer from above... but do you think it is possibility that I can cover my house with fewer LR‘s than Lites?

    I have the Orbi RBK850 with 1 satellite. I had a satellite fail shortly after my 1 year. How does UI Wifi 6 devices stack up against those? I have UI camera and cloud key running on PoE so I could easily ditch the orbis for some UI wifi 6 so long as I still get the wifi bandwith I am accustomed too. I would look at pairing them with a dream machine pro if I went the UI route, this would replace my cloud key.
