Agree. Also I hate it everytime when Mare says that he is a monster though she knows about his past. I think that Maven is trying to find his voice in all of this. He doesn't know what is he or what his mother so he does some stupid things but he is NOT a monster for it!
Anastazija Herondale I agree but I think that since Mare wasn’t there to see what he’s mother did to him, it’s hard for her to understand. I think we can all agree that Mare is not the kind of characther that forgive easily but she is wrong with calling him a monster.

I loved Tower of Dawn. That's probably because I love Chaol. It has been my favorite of the series.

it took me SO long to get into this book. i felt the first half was a lot of waiting around. but that second half was AMAZING, i couldn't put it down. all in all thoroughly enjoyed it and love our new characters.

Nora Drew WAIT. I am so serious. Dude, wait as long as you can to read Lord of Shadows. Once you finish it, you'll NEED the next book right away. So until you actually have the final TDA book or get impatient, I think it is honestly in your best interest to wait till December if you can.
Tatiana Grimm I was thinking of doing this!! I read so many books in a year that sometimes the plotlines can kind of blur together😂 Plus I get incredibly impatient if I don’t have the next book to read right after! I’ll definitely wait to read LOS until the next book is readily available!!👍🏼😊
Sasha!! You really need to continue with the Red Queen series, the ending of King's Cage takes an unexpected turn and it just makes you really excited to see how it all plays out in the finale :)

I somehow missed the Narnia books while growing up and didn't get around to them until a few months ago. Got lots of comments on that one!
I still haven’t read the Narnia books. I wasn’t a huge reader until I was 18, after reading Percy Jackson, so I never got to most of the popular children’s books. 24 years old now, and plan on reading them at some point

The Raven Cycle is one of my favorite series and I highly recommend you read it when you can. I'm currently rereading the last book in the quarter. I haven't read any of the Red Queen series, and there are probably more popular books that I just can't think of right now!
There are so many popular books I have read yet. The biggest being the Harry Potter series. I get a lot of judgement from people who can't understand why I haven't.

Herondale Girl I have mixed feelings about this news. Acotar is one of my favorite series and I really don’t like books that i love turned to a movie and then they flop because if the movie doesn’t have a series then that means they’re gonna cram everything and that just sucks

Lena with a Box that’s not true for everyone, i personally really like the show shadowhunters, it just depends on the person, everyone has different opinions. I agree that books are way better than movies, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll ruin it. For example they haven’t ruined tmi for me
There are so many popular books I haven't read yet. I'm a slow reader and my TBR is eternally long, so I'm sure I'll get to some of them at some point, but the question is when. So no judgement from me! Best of luck getting to them!
You should continue with Red Queen series. Also everyrtime I listen to Halsey's "Castle" I always think about Mare lol. The song just makes me feel so idk.. powerful? I'm not sure but the point it listen to it while reading the books, it's good!. (I'm crazy Lmaooo)

DelenaSparks personally I really really enjoyed this series and this could simply be because I like dystopian fantasy and just stories with dueling monarchs idk lol. But I'd say give the second book a try and if you don't feel you like it don't continue with the series. I guess it all depends on our preferences and which stories we like ya know :)

Basically Britt it's nothing special. just the author trying to prolong a famous and highly demanded series, it all could have ended with Valentine there was no need for that last book. but then again that might just be my opinion since I wasn't really into this series in the first place. I still haven't read court of thornes and roses even though I really want to and I absolutely HATED the Raven boys. I know that to each their own but I honestly can not understand how that's such a popular series.

I loved ACOWAR, I don't know why so many people are disappointed. Yes, it's a little slow in the middle but with all the characters' personalities I never got bored. I read it in a week while moving out of town, so that says a lot! Lol

Yes! Read Kings Cage! It’s so good plus the FINAL book comes out next month so it’s literally the perfect time to read it and then finish the series real quick! Plus it’s one of my favorite series. It’s the first fantasy series that really made me start reading like CRAZY. (I’ve only been an intense reader for a little over a year lol)

Seeing this video made me feel better because I haven't read any of the books or series you mentioned on here. Even the ones you have read. For example, I haven't read ANY Cassandra Clare books so don't feel bad about not reading a series of hers. Honestly not sure I will read them even though I like YA but with all the new books she publishes I feel like I'll never catch up. I blame attending university as it keeps me so busy reading textbooks that I can't read all the books I want. Still happy with some of the ones I have read so far but I plan to read all these eventually.
Would love to see you do a little mini series of this. I am on book 2 of the Raven Boys. Trying to finish off a bunch of series and the jump on Crown of Midnight.

Tower of Dawn is something you won’t regret reading. Trust me, I was skeptic for a long time when I read the summary. I don’t like Chaol but after reading this, it made me feel kinder to his character. Also, this book confirms a lot of theories from previous novels.

Books I haven't read: Shatter Me series, The Raven Cycle, The Illuminaee files (I got the first book on audio, third time is a charm), Crooked Kingdoms, The Grisha trilogy and Tower of Dawn. Life happens and maybe it wasn't the right time to pick up that book.

personally, I've read Tower of Dawn before Empire of Storms. But it won't matter, because both books happened at the same time so no spoilers either way.
King's cage is so good I highly recommend u to complete the series especially that the final book "war Storm " will be out in 9 days from now

Tower of Dawn was a totally refreshing read, changing characters to focus on, and the eventual culmination of the plot was just wow.

I haven't ready of these books yet! But I am currently reading ACOMAF and omg I'm dying and my next read will be ACOWAR. Also please do a Sarah J Mass read a long this summer! I want to read the throne of glass series too and I'm reading ACOTAR series with a read along and it really helps me read them faster and more books. I also haven't read Lady midnight yet which is shameful lol, but I also need to read tales of shadowhunter academy and the Bane Chronicles first. Also I was so excited for the ACOTAR movie!! But then you said it was by the same people who do shadowhunters and I was like nooooo. But hopefully it will be better because I think Sarah has her hand on it more than Cassie did. Ok, I know you might not want another book on your reading list, but if you do want another book or 13, then Interview With The Vampire. You could also start with The Vampire Lestat, it doesn’t matter which one you start one.

You should definetely read King's Cage!!!! IT'S AMAZING! However, I read it like 1 year after Glass Sword and I had forgotten about a lot of importante stuff, so maybe you should consider re-reading Glass Sword (and Red Queen). Besides, the 4th book is almost out so you could read it next with the story fresh on your mind :)

I’ve read almost all of those books!! KINGS CAGE IS AMAZING, the 4th book is out too! It’s called war storm. Cassandra Claire is one of my favorite authors. I read the tmi series in less 2 weeks. I haven’t read any books by Sarah j mass yet, but it’s definitely on my to read list. I think that you should definitely make more of these videos. Also have you ever heard of the inheritance cycle by Christopher Paolini?? It’s THE BEST book series of all time.
Kings Cage is definitely the best of the series! Though scanning a summary of GS may help. (Or not all the characters complain in lengthy detail about everything from last book) 😂😂

King's Cage is definitely a great continuation of glass sword. I think it's worth it. The world it's expanded and the action it's crazy.

Girl I am with you on the sarah j mass. I LOVE her writing and books, but haven't finished the last two books of the throne of glass series. It feels like I've been reading the series for the longest time and I just never came around to it. Also with ACOTAR I read the first book, but that's it. I am going to try to read all my unread sarah j maas books this summer. Hopefully. :)
I'm so truly heartbroken by the fact you're so behind on the throne of glass series @sashaalsberg. EOS but especially Tower of Dawn were masterpieces (seriously TOD was just magnificent beyond words, best book in the series which considering Aelin isn't in it -is a feat). Please just drop what you're doing and get on it. I beg thee! I love how they take place at the same time as each other too :P

i did the same thing with kings cage! i didn’t read it til it’s been out for a year and actually finally just read it. but it was actually totally easy to get back into. TOTALLY WORTH IT ☺️ I definitely recommend it 👍🏻

Kings Cage is a must! The feels after reading this book, holy moly!! Plus the last book comes out next month so yes! So Sarah J Mass is my fave author and ToG is my fave series ever and I’m guilty that I haven’t read Tower of Dawn yet 😭😭😭, but!!! I plan to reread the whole series before Kingdom of Ash comes out, so yes let’s do a rereadauthon! I forced myself to read The Raven Boys, I had a hard time with each book but they aren’t bad, just not my fave. Have to have the right mind for them lol.
