I have never watched a more accurate video about krittika than this, you are really great teacher and this was excellent explanation. I am krittika nakshatra moon and currently going through rahu dasha, its been really difficult and i feel that everyone is moving away from me even the most loved ones. Sometimes i feel so lonely and desperate and i cant find the source to bring back my energy. I hope it will be easier with time
Awesome, very deep and lucid. I love that Vic comes at the nakshatras from the Taittariya Brahmana sutras, and not merely traditional conjecture, and lets you know that that's what he's doing, getting it right down to its original sanskrit authorship. I have Moon in Krittika Nakshatra 4th Pada, thank you very much for your analysis, I am confident that I am on the right path now.
What I noticed about myself is the ability to function as an actual catalyst for people. It's like they can free themselves from some of their own burdens by talking to me, putting them on me and I (when I am in my power) can "channel" them out.
Also I have noticed that I function as a trigger to start an emotional process for other people to become more self aware. It's like I am the "whistleblower" for energies sometimes, what most people don't like, they would rather hide or not look at their own true feelings but it often happened to me that by my actions or words I "triggered" others to look at themselves. That is not an easy place to be, believe me, I lost jobs and friendships because of it but I feel like this is part of my authentic self and like my "job" here in this life amongst other things.

when you were talking about shukra, which is the fuel that Kritika needs, I was thinking about the very love for expression trought art. It's something that is always there, sometimes with dust on top of it, but one can be sure that this source of fuel is always available and only needs silence and inner space. I see that othe other people when affected by the expression of art can give more shukra to kritika, but other people's fuel is not the original and never ending one, instead, the original is the inner creator. Myself having Mercury in Kritika, house 5, feel that way.

I think this has to be deciphered with the story of devyani(daughter of shukracharya) and kutch. Sukracharya provided the most powerful and secretive knowledge to Kutch(son of guru Or jupiter) which even Jupiter did not have. Sukracharya himself got benifited once through the knowledge he imparted to kuch to save his life.
So moral of the storey empower people with knowledge to keep you shining like a jyoti

I also read this as... krittika needs good fuel, so if they’re around substance-less fuel (like friends who are needing therapy, needy, manipulative, anything of the like), then the jyoti will not be good, and we won’t be functional. Not just burning people out, but we can maybe become easily burnt out when we’re around people without any fuel to give. You think this could be a valid thought? (I’m new to Vedic astrology...) I have my Jupiter in this Nakshatra, and I suffer with terrible energy issues. And lots of food/sugar issues. Makes sense!
I totally agree with you! I have Jupiter here as well… and been stuck in a draining situation and I know this isn’t the “real” me, but it seems hard to find people who aren’t needy and I was abandoned when I was needy, so I have compassion… balance is key

I do like your take on things, and would like to get things straight. I'm trying to decide whether Krittika is going to "cut it" for me, and so decide which astrologer to follow and consult, because I'd really like to delve into the nakshatra side of things from the tropical Vedic perspective... According to "traditional" Vedic calculations given me, my Ascendant is 22'06" Aries, with Venus at 25'14" Aries, both in Bharani nakshatra. And according to tropical Vedic calculations I've been given, by a "western guy" who shall remain nameless, ASC is 15'23" Taurus, in Bharani, Venus at 18'31" Taurus in KRITTIKA, not Bharani! Mars is shifted now, too- from Mrigashira to Ardra, and moon is no longer Shatabhisha, but Purva Bhadrapada... what the heck? Not to say the western guy who gave me those calculations is "wrong", but why is he saying that Venus at 18'31" of tropical Taurus is Krittika? I thought it starts at 22'40" Taurus, and runs to 6' Gemini... please let us know where you are calculating Krittika from/to.... thank you!

Thank you... you are very gracious to respond in a matter-of-fact way to my ignorance. From what I've been able to look up so far, it's that you guys are using different ayanamsa- Lahiri vs Dhruva... different styles of translations and commentary on Taittiriya Brahmana, too. Your particular presentation is beautiful, both lyrical and descriptive. Not sure about the TB, though... not sure about ascribing any deep personal spiritual, philosophical, or psychological meaning to nakshatra, or the sutras found there.... in the context of the time and culture, the TB seems like it could be describing nothing more than priestly commentary on the intimate role of the moon in timekeeping of rituals surrounding stuff like their emerging agricultural practices, and the weird sacrifices of the horse-loving ruling warrior class... and my goodness, the religious syncretism coming out of the wars and mixing of cultures... no wonder there are umpteen different meanings given for the moon, not to mention houses and planets, such a colorful mish mash of conflation of solar with lunar, and no one can agree on ayanamsa.... forgive me... I'm just an old, dumb Catholic woman who grew up having patriarchal, misogynistic dogma superimposed on seasonal pagan ritual, and shoved down my throat... HAHA I question everything!
