He’s the real article. I’m so blessed to have been here in Baton Rouge to watch him do his MAGIC. And it was nothing short of magic.
    Class Act.
When I walk on LSU’s campus I just want to give him a hug and tell him, “Thank you, thank you, thank you for all that you have done. Your leadership, talent and humility have lifted the region and inspired many including myself. Your parents have to be exceedingly proud.”
His speech brings me to tears.
God bless, Joe and the Burrow Family.
God Bless my LSU TIGERS & fans.

Being born and raised in Ohio, I can tell you this. We show loyalty and dedication to those that help us as we pass through life's highway and as Coach Woody Hayes said "You can not always pay back but you can pay it forward". For him to place his community on his shoulders and shine a light where there was none speaks VOLUMES for this MAN''S character. He could have just got caught up in the moment and forgot them. I hope his message inspires those people in southeast Ohio and let's them know they are not forgotten.

Being from southern Ohio and a Buckeye fan I was beyond happy for him. Athens is about an hour away and it’s identical to where I’m from. It’s very poor here but we get by. I couldn’t be more proud of him and only wish he would have gotten a chance at OSU. But I was a LSU fan that night. I’m so happy for him seeing his speech was the greatest in Heisman history. Once again so very proud of him and what he did on the field and for Athens. Truly a great man

@@sunnyw2148 I remember actually hearing somebody talk about basically this same topic "why are almost all QBs good looking?" And they brought up an interesting idea. The theory is basically that it starts at a very young age (like backyard football age), the good looking kids are usually the most popular, and the most popular kids are usually the ones that other kids choose to play QB in the backyard or whenever they start playing Pop Warner football and it just kind of sticks with them b/c they have the most practice and in-game experience at it.

So many talking heads on sports shows are doing commentary about Burrows that even with a Heisman they question if he will be a successful NFL QB. Well the Heisman is great and the NFL would be great for him but Joe Burrows is obviously successful without those things. He has used his celebrity not to complain or just party or just gain more appearences (money!) He has used it to truly help people. Keep it up Joe. . . put that food bank out of business !

I never heard this speech. This is incredible. All the right stuff. All the right stuff! I'm a Georgia fan who was a victim of his passion. I can honestly say God works in an incredible way. I'm thankful due to this acknowledgement from a humble kid on top of the world regarding something so vastly important that all adults should feel ashamed. Always pulling for him now. As regards Greek mythology, for just a moment, he was Atlas and he chose to lift the world.

Youngstown Ohio here. That’s northeast. I don’t think more free stuff is the answer though it’s a nice thought. People in these areas rarely have a representative in government. If they do they are called racists and bigot. These people need work and education or at least some representation in government. Sympathy and free stuff is thoughtful but not the right way to effect change of any kind. Joes words are more important than your free canned goods. These people just want a voice and an opportunity.
