As a Baptist I concur with this mans preaching, Church membership will not save you. Only a working relationship with Jesus Christ. Only the blood saves. Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8-9
I've accepted this as my religion I was a pentecostal but never payed attention to scripture closely. I now see that Jesus Christ is instructing me to take up serpents and I will not question the word of God.

Snake Hhandlers lack discernment, and they take one verse out of Mark chapter 16 out of context, and build their theology and doctrine on that. The right application of Mark 16:18 is found in the book of Acts when Paul reaches Macedonia and is attacked by the snake but it has no effect on him. Mainline Pentecostalism doesn't condone snake handling.

I haven't heard Jesus tell me to pick up a venomous serpent but I'm also not saying he wouldn't say that to someone else. The point of the story about Paul in acts was to show that because of the Holy Spirit, Paul was protected from the venom of the serpent. Paul shook the serpent into the fire. He didn't cradle and pet it. Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. But, if Jesus told me to pick up a serpent, I wouldn't disobey. Who am I to say Jesus isn't telling them to?
Got stopped by the cops in Tennessee in Dec... And had a warrant in Kentucky... Hes definitely not a law abiding citizen ... Be a true Christian Bible says Obey the laws of the land.. Hes not in a long time. Smh
