    I would like to share my personal experience. I was born into a Hindu family. At about 21, I stated doubting the religion and even the existence of God. I spent many years searching for answers … went through a Catholic conversion course, read about Islam and Buddhism and everything else. Many years later, I find myself where I started. The answers were always there. I just needed to search and find them. This is the beauty of Hinduism. It doesn’t force anything upon you. It tells you to be curious and to enjoy the journey in discovering that Truth. Jai Shree Ram.

    Happy to see young people taking an interest in our ancient history ❤️
    When I was in college, people were so scared to talk about their religion, especially Hindus, but if a Muslim or Christian went and read the bible and Quran, they were seen like waah kya log hai waah and if said I went to mandir you were made fun of and ridiculed 🙈
    What a paradigm shift in time 😘

    • @ihskask
      @ihskask Před rokem +2

      Really ? When I was in college - we had a Mandir right there in the college premises. And students used to go to Mandir all the time - absolutely no ridicule . It wasn’t even a thing. We all would go to Gurudwara also. No problem . But I do remember students and the teacher singling out my Muslim friend and I had to speak up for her. Gave me chills to understand how a minority might feel. It wasn’t a very big thing. And once they realized there is a Muslim girl among them - they were slightly embarrassed and tried to made up for it. This is the country and times I remember growing up in - we went to Mandir , watched televised Ramayan /Mahabharat, studied these scriptures as part of school curriculum. Don’t remember even once it was an issue. What is the victim hood narrative?

      Thats the price we pay in this country for so called "Indian secularism". Many brilliant and life affecting Hindu knowledge systems are seen as communal (esp in last 70 years of independence).
      Dalai Lama once said "western psychology-philosophy is kindergarten student in front of Indian psychology-philosophy, but they dont teach this to their children in schools".
      Many don't know that the Kendriya Vidyalaya me Sanskrit mantra "Asto ma Sadgamaya" prayers me bolne ke against kuch log Supreme court me gaya hain. The petition is still pending in court. "Asato ma Sadgamaya" mantra simply means - Lead me from Untruth to truth, from Dark to light. But bcoz its in Sanskrit and from Hindu scriptures it is dander to secularism. Everyone should closely watch this pattern in this country.

    P.S. Lord Vishnu is called "Upendra" in context of him helping Lord Indra by taking birth as his younger brother as Vamana Avatar to Sage Kashyapa and Aditi(who are also the parents of Devas, who are Adityas or son of Aditi) and not as subordinate to him. Also, the sandhi can be viccheda into Upara-Indra or Above Indra too, and the language has been often poetically used to mean many things at the same time.

      While it might come across as insecurity, it is more that he realises the importance of the position he is in and wants to make sure that an undeserving person does not attain that position. Hence anyone who is doing penance, he would send some apsara or someone to break it. It is more like the other person who has to be meritorius of becoming next Indra, has to overcome all the obstacles.

    1:16:51 Kunti never treated Madri's twins, Nakula and Sahadeva as step-sons. She loved and cared them always more than her own sons, and never differentiated since their birth. There are so many instances to prove this. In fact, Arjuna is the youngest of Kunti's biological sons, but she calls him her "suta madhyama" Meaning, middle son. Not every woman can be a mother, and not every mother can be Kunti. So proud and fortunate to have such great ancestors!🙏
