I actually rewatched Demolition Man two days ago. The secret of the three shells was left as a cliffhanger at the final scene, and apparently was scheduled to be revealed in the sequel that never saw the light of day.
I believe the joke is predicated on old outhouse art with 3 corn cobs. a red one, a white one, and another red one, instead of toilet paper. You use the first red corn cob, then use the middle white corn cob to see if you need the third corn cob.
Thus, the old country phrase "rough as a cob"@@ttraband
It's like mystery of luxury Japanese toilets!
Funny and interesting. I always assumed there was something to do with Japanese ‘active’ cleaning toilets that would have become the norm in the future. Your corn cob theory is far more amusing though. Not that I can picture myself trying that technique. Obviously.
No one is seeing this
I’m seeing it so keep cleaning or I’ll get Mr expert slapped back and you won’t sit down for a week young lady 😅
One part nobody talks about is why they watch your channel. We, (my life and I) watch you not because we are particularly interested in cars, we watch it for you, for the insights you give and for just giving of yourself. In a sense, we enjoy your company. We enjoy your work. You are Very good at it. It's fun to watch.🐧
I hope the windshield guy is passing on his knowledge...that is the kind of skill that we need more of.
Obviously knows exactly how much pressure to apply and where to slap to install. I was cringing the whole time!
This has got to be the most meticulous restorations I’ve ever seen. You’re attention to detail is second to none!
Did you see the series or her restoring that Ford Ranger? That was amazing.
A young lady after my own OCD heart. 😊
Loving all the detail work, it's going to be amazing when it's completed
That'a what I keep thinking. It's going to be a real beauty.
This is the only YT resto project thingy channel that I watch all the time, haven't missed an episode for years now - and I love the little bits that other people don't show, you also get the balance between that and the big things right as well, nobody does it better.
As someone who was dumb enough to do Jeep and 4x4 truck restorations for a living the old saying of "The last 10% of the work takes 90% of the time ." is often an understatement!
Sarah your restorations are some of the best on YT the attention to detail is amazing.
My dad been doing glass work like him over here on the east coast for almost 50 years. Working on these classic rides is quickly becoming a lost art at this point.
Writing directions for your future self helps so much. I'll put tape on stuff and write directions on the tape, got green tape all over the place, lol.
I actually said fabricobble to a seat company that made my captains chair for my van. I quote " For 2 G's I shouldn't have to fabricobble to get this to work!" Lol.
After 35 years I've officially changed my title to Race Car Fabricobbler! lol
I've totally embraced the term, it's perfect!
13:49 You're absolutely right, I've watched people swap engines in less than an hour, it's this kind of work that takes the real time and effort.
Sarah proves time travel is possible. Sends notes to future self.
So cute, little Sarah playing with her dolly.
That is going to be a beast when done. Amazing stuff Ms Sarah. Love all the double entendre in every episode.
But a sexy beast with it
It's great that you show all the details Sarah. Most youtubers just skip all these parts.
Windshield banner save once again you Sara are the, "Keeper of the Faith".
I love all the small detail stuff. People generally skip the details which are the most important things in a build.
Yes. In my mind those details are where new problems will come from if you don't take care of them
Not this girl. 😎
I don't *EVER* want Sarah to see any of my vehicles. I would be ashamed. Knowing what I know about Sarah's level of effort.
I love the Celica, and I've done a lot of what Sarah is doing, I had 5 of the '77 Celica GT over the years. I 'restored' parts of them, though I certainly don't have her very high degree of skill and attention to detail. I always thought about dropping a V-8 into one of them, but after seeing what really goes into it, I'm very glad I didn't.
I'm like most people, its the trivial stuff that is so great. And you compressing an hour of work into a 60 second video you handle quite well.
I don't know how you soldier on?
Kudos to you Sarah.
Seeing all this effort and dedication is rewarding. I would have never known this much was required to restore a vehicle.
Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, makes all the little piddly stuff look as interesting and important as you do. Your tenacious attention to detail is commendable. Love your work.
Can I be old and still love the early 80s music and cars?!
"You cannot put something together dirty. Period." (Thank you very much! I wish everyone who rebuilt things had this attitude!)
As a licensed mechanic, I more than approve of this video. Sarah, great work.
The top level innuendo in this video just makes it that little better than most car vids. Sarah. You’re awesome.
I'm always amazed by Sarah's patience and perseverance to get the job done properly.
For sure, there is nobody better that could've installed that windshield! Your network is strong!
It doesn’t matter if no one will see it. You know it’s clean. That’s satisfaction…
And there’s no such things as unnecessary cleaning.
Better & Better & Better still, Thank You Airwoman !
I was cringing the whole time when you were using the wire wheel with your hair hanging close by, was rooting for you to not scalp yourself. Great job on the restoration so far - keep it up.
Great build Sarah. Just finished a 2 year restoration on my 1988 Supercharged AW11 MR2 and your work gave me inspiration to finish my project. Cheers!
I’m building an AW11 with a supercharger too. I started watching because of Sarah’s SW20, but I think this celica might be my favourite
Instead of commenting on what you did, I’ll just say that you are absolutely amazing.
Thank you for being my favorite work distraction!
There is nothing better than a Smart, easy on the eyes gal rebuilding her car on CZcams .
It’s all the little stuff that takes a car from nice to amazing. Sarah always does amazing work.
I bought stuff from ToyHead Auto 14yrs ago. Nice seeing small ol' companys still going strong!
I could watch you all day long working on restoration projects and never get bored of it.
True. My Zen moment is doing detail work on my car with my dog laying in the garage, music playing in the background and a cold beer close at hand.
3 seashells! Love that movie! Have a joy joy day
i'm glad I found your channel honestly, as a girl who wants to restore an s13. It's giving me a lot of insight to the prep work I'll need to do!
S13 hatch or coupe? 😊
@WarriorsPhoto hatch ideally!! but i like the coupes too, theyve got a slightly different vibe going on imo :P
The double entendre title is chef's kiss
Your double entendre game was super strong in this video Sarah. Many laughs.
Thoroughly enjoying this build series. Bringing the vampire mechanic vibes in the first part of the video today
All the little fiddley bits are what makes the end result worth all the effort. Those of us who have fully concoursed any vehicle appreciate your fine attention to detail. And bonus for us is getting to see it in all it's glory. Keep up the great work. Cheers.
PS. The only dirty bits in the finished result will be the language your passenger(s) use when you mash the pedal to the floor. 😆
Great Toyota build❤
I love seeing all the small detail stuff. Most of us will probably never swap an engine or transmission. But we will probably have to do small detail stuff.
Noooo! The hidden stuff has to be as clean and elegant as the visible ones. That is what makes you different and better than the rest, Sarah! And sincerely appreciate the extra work.
Aloha Miss Sarah. Thank you for yet another great video
🤙🏻 mahalo
I am absolutely thankful for this channel. These are the coolest things you’re working on, the v8 Celica is going to look super bad ass, thank you for adding the descriptions on what it takes to work on these cars to bring them back to life.
Going from the backside to bang out trim will probably be the most effective method. 💯❤️
Do not ever apologize for anything you are doing. What you are doing is what I want to watch.
I feel your pain when you were doing the window regulators and tracks. Working on ANYTHING inside the doors sucks!
Amazed you did not have a comment on “banging out some trim”
Thanks!
Sarah you are awesome. Love the Celica and the Supra. You do an amazing job everytime. Keep going. Love the channel and all you do.👍👍😊
Having part instructions on the bag & the order they came off certainly keep' the project on track.
AWESOME sarah.....
I could watch this lady all day long😘
Had a 76 ,78 and an 82 celica best cars I ever had
tip to give a nod to the double entendre in the splash screen
Great to see Sarah's hilarious sense of humour and double entendre delivery make a strong comeback. Video title is particularly apt 😁.
Know exactly what you mean Sarah, have restored cars to the same standard. Well 👍 done Sarah 👏👏👏👏🥰
Always happy to see another video with you kneeling in the thumbnail. ❤
I like that you're showing all the details of the little things. This makes things a lot more realistic and it helps to understand the magnitude of a restoration well done.
Thanks. Great to see this done- real perspective. So much left out of anywhere else you can find this. I greatly admire your patience and determination.
Attention to detail, second to none. Work ethics, above and beyond. Cars coming on a treat.
Yes! Another Celica Vid Finally!
"I spent all that time cleaning it and nobody's going to see it.". We saw it. We appreciates ya. :)
I love your attention to detail and your appreciation of the era your cars come from.
I try
Sara, we all love your trim work ;)
I salute your attention to detail. INTEGRITY is doing the right thing... even when nobody's looking. And you have it 👍
Your attention to detail is really amazing, and admirable.
10:17 😢❤ please keep doing it. Your doing a justice to older vehicles etc. The quality is worth it. It makes your videos feel solid and special.
The moment the thumbnaul popped up i clicked and exclaimed YES. Yes older cars were BUILt better. Some werent but SOME 100% WERE
YOU ARE AMAZING!!! Thank you for your humor, OCD, enthusiasm and your knowledge. Truly Educational and entertaining to watch. Can't wait for you to drive this car.
Sarah, your Celica is just beautiful. Excellent Job Lady! I loved those back in the day...lol
Been watching your videos for years. The sheer amount of time, effort, blood sweat and tears that go into your content is so obvious, and it's why this channel is one of two that I have alerts turned on for.
Seriously THE best car restoration content on YT, imo.
I have a tip for you that I picked up like trash on the Internet highway for restoring glass on the cheap. Use a fresh piece of Clay Bar to mop the window and then use 'Flitz' polish and a polishing ball. I was amazed at my results. Plus it wont hurt paint or trim so you can do this to an installed window too. It would make your stainless shine as well. Nothing but respect for the work you do, your freaking amazing!
I was holding my breath when you slide the window glass inside the door..I SO wanted an extra set of 'Angel-hands' or 'Charlie-hands' to spot you!
Funny reference. you should do a Halloween as Officer Huxley - close likeness. Plus your patience is monumental with all this hard detail work.
Sarah, no such thing as "unnecessary cleaning" as far as I'm concerned! Amazing as always! And my shirt has shipped! I'm so excited 😊
Yay! Thank you!
I have learned not to question your choices... I know this Celica is going to be balling out of control once it's done. Great to see Gram Grams ranger looking so great and being used.
So grateful you're taking us along for the details, Sarah! ❤👍🏼🙏
Watching the windshield installation expert work on your windshield was like watching Picasso paint. Wow, all these types of professionals and their skills are slowly disappearing. Just try to find someone to hand pin stripe your car or motorcycle. Thanks for adding that segment into this video Sarah. As for you, you're always a joy to watch, but so sad to see your Subie sitting in storage.
Yes! Pin striping by hand is a lost art
you're 100% correct, I would much rather watch you do this than do it myself 😀
Hey! We saw it! We are delighted with your attention to detail.
I don't know, Sarah. I sort of enjoy watching your sanity slowly unravel in these piddly videos. 😊😊
To remove adhesive from glass, metal and even paint, spray with WD-40, let it soak and wipe off. Repeat if necessary until clean. Then just wash with soap and water.
It's all wonderful stuff. Please just keep being you and show all the things. Love your content. ❤
Gj Sarah, nice to see you banging it out and getting it nailed. 😄
Much as I want to watch your videos chronologically, I get lost most often trying to look for the sequence of the next video. Hoping you place a progressive numbering with the title of your projects for your followers to be guided. Thanks!
This episode had it all - The Clipperdoodle and the doodad !
The details you labor over, is very very impressive!!@
Sarah you need a sand bag to tap the chrome trim. It absorbs the impact for more accurate tapping.
Again, I'd have you on my team any day. Thank you for your efforts, Sarah!
I love watching your channel, you really know your stuff and I pray that you will be blessed with a huge shop to continue doing your work. Proud of you. ❤
@10:11 - i was confused. Thank You Sarah.
This explains why a car like that would cost over $100,000. If you hired a shop to do it, this amount of detail is amazing.
One of my favorite movies I still watch it today
I HOPE I LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO SEE IT RUN🤯
As always, you have brightened my week.
Although you sometimes see six figure restorations on CZcams, you usually don’t see them on Toyota Celicas.
