  • I decided to try to do some more FM DXing with my Tecsun PL-330 and my XHDATA AN-80 FM/Shortwave wire antenna. This Tecsun radio performs really good on FM with just the whip but with this wire, it has really impressed me. I want to experiment more with this and see if I can pick up and E-skip. A special thanks to ‪@dannyshortwave‬ as he inspired me to play around with FM more and make videos like this in the first place. I was really impressed with some of his reception videos on FM. Check out his channel if you are into anything radio related.
I later found that 89.1 is used by WFDU which is a college radio station out of Teaneck, NJ and WNYU another college station, whose transmitter is located at University Heights in the Bronx. They both share the frequency and operate at different times. It was most likely WFDU in thie video as WNYU is said to come on after 4 pm Monday-Friday.
Stay tuned...more to come on FM. This video was recorded on Thursday June 20th, 2024. Thank you for watching and have a nice day. #fmdxing #tecsun #hobby

Thank you for the mention. I really like that Tecsun PL-300 radio. Very impressive small radio. I have the PL-660. Reminds me of a mini 660. Have a great day and stay cool Taso.
