  • Classic Car Addict would like to present this 1987 Turbo Buick Grand National with 45,979 miles for sale in our Mesa, Arizona showroom. The Buick was conveyed new to Marx Chevrolet-Buick in Gilroy, CA. Without a doubt, the Grand National is one of the most sinister and desirable cars ever made! Enthusiasts look back on the 1960’s with twinkling eyes and nostalgia. Indeed, we’ll never see an era like it again. Yet, it’s hard to overlook how Buick overcame regulations and challenges to make a muscle car for a new, restricted era. The Buick Grand National was a true muscle car.
This Buick is extremely clean inside and out! The Grand National styling prompts include dark paint and trim, an inconspicuous hood cowl, and uncommon front and back spoilers. This model holds a few pre-conveyance assessment decals. You could also get the Grand National in any color you wanted, as long as it was black.
Inside, the driver is greeted by reclining bucket seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a full-length operating console. Perfect for storing those Whitesnake and Genesis cassettes you like to crank up while cruising through town. The interior features two-tone dark and dim fabric with dark covering and weaved logos on the headrests. The instrumentation comprises of an updated 145 MPH speedometer, advanced standalone gauges, and a 5-digit odometer showing 45,979 miles. The AC blows super cold, automatic windows and locks, cruise control, GM-Delco AM/FM/cassette radio and lights are all in working order.
1987 was the pinnacle for the Grand National. Power comes from a turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine, producing 245HP with 355 ft lbs. of torque, mated to a turbo-hydramatic 200R4 4-speed programmed automatic transmission and restricted slip differential. Lots of additional upgrades were done to this GN to make it faster and sound better than ever. The Carfax report contains four service records and 26 detailed records. No history of accidents or other damage.
Handling is a relative term; this is a nose-heavy car with a live rear axle and power-assisted recirculating-ball steering. There is not a lot of steering feedback, but it's nicely weighted, and the leather-stitched steering wheel feels meaty in your hand. It's not hard to overpower the tires during hard cornering, but the Grand National does well enough for what it is. You may not want to drive one every day, but you could; given its smooth ride quality. This Grand National rides on chrome-plated 15-inch wheels, mounted with General Altimax RT tires. Vehicle will be sold on a clean Arizona title. Be sure to check out over 100+ HD photos and videos at www.classiccaraddict.com. Call Classic Car Addict today at 480-256-1459.

Every time I get in one I think about my parents Regal that wasn’t a T-Type or a GM. Brings back so many memories.

I'm almost done building a complete frame off astro roof car. I have been working on it for 3.5 years. Absolutely everything has been upgraded.

Noticed it has had the powermaster brake system removed! I bought my GN new in Jan '88 and after 37 years the original system still functions well! Key was flushing and refilling w/new brake fluid every year! Your 's is a pristine example of one not really driven! Mine has 164000 miles on it and looks really nice-no rust! Also own '67 Camaro SS350 convt and a '68 Cougar w/428 Cobra Jet ram air and C6! Owned the Camaro 49 years and the Cougar has been in family since new! Even have original window stickers for GN and Cougar! Love these old muscle cars! FJB!

👍Nice! Had a 1978 Buick w/ 3.8 turbo engine. Blew it up & replaced w/ a small block Chevy 350. It was a beast but could’ve used another gear.

Right now I’m sitting on a 2022 BMW M440 with 25000 on it and I have no problem or connection with, but if I could bring it back to the old days, I would especially by the end of this year, even if it’s a Buick regal Limited, one of my favorite cars I met Brother from Georgia and he had a 454 Corvette motor chained down in it I’ve been turned out ever since lol
