It goes really hard but I'm also not sure it makes sense, does it? To me it implies that you pay to forgive people from your own blood/soul which is a pretty steep cost.

It’s just saying “I forgive you for what you did, but I’m not going to forget it.” And goes into the fool me once feel me twice because like he said, they spam again and they get banned for life. They need a second chance to try and reform themselves.

Not exactly sure what the origin is, but +2 just means they agree with the take. There's also -2 when they disagree
±2 is a bit from an old OLD Jerma and Etalyx stream, Google "+2 Jerma wiki” for info
It comes from a Jerma stream, became a meme there, and somehow took root in NL's chat. I'm not sure where else it's used but it's not the most wide spread meme so it's interesting that it's used here as well.

It all started with Jerma, as you'll see many things do in the NL-verse, when he did a challenge with Etalyx to beat a game within a time limit, but chat could add (or subtract) 2 minutes if a joke was funny (or not). That carried on to all jokes outside of that stream and later all across twitch as universal sentiment gauges.

If NL's anecdote about South Korean shared music between generations is correct. I wonder if it's because east asian cultures premiers families more than western ones. Three-generation households being more common as an example. In contrast, in my own culture there is a lot of value being put on being independent from your parents.
So in one case there will be an incentive to find common ground with your family. In the other there's an incentive to differentiate yourself from your family.

He's been streaming for like 10 years and just got sick of it at some point. He's said it several times now that he's literally at work and people think it's funny to harass/bait him for their own enjoyment.
