Tnx for posting. The collector car, "world," never ceases to amaze and baffle me. This car, one of one, that could easily be cloned; nice '69 Camaro, hi perf 454, M22, etc., is worth 7 figures as you say, vs a clone that might be built for say $300K, all because it came from Baldwin Chev in NY back in the 60's. The value is not in the actual car, but where it was put together back in the in the day. As someone once used to say: that's not news, but that too is reality...

I had a LS7 in my 69 Malibu with 4:10's and a 4 speed and its was a wild ride to say the least. I damaged the engine a long time ago and sold the Malibu about 20 years ago. Thinking back I still enjoy the memories of that power. It was a 90 over LS7 with LS7 cam, 850 Holley Super comps. The reason it was 90 over was previous owner of the engine blew it up. I remember wrecking a few Muncies with that engine...one on Halloween 1995. Monster Mash was actually playing at the time, and my buddy says "Muncie Mash"...I will always remember that.

Leave it to GM for the lack of an original code # when naming the modern day LS derivative, the LS7. Since they already had used the LS7 moniker on this power plant, you’d think 🤔, how hard could it be to come up with an original code name back in 2004. So now when you tell people there’s an LS7 under the hood, most will figure it was updated with a modern LS. There didn’t need to be any confusion.

Hey Gary, another great video on a great car. The ‘69 Camaro is such an iconic year, never mind it’s a Baldwin Motion car. I’ve been out to your shop/showroom/museum a few times and loved all the rare cars there over the years. I keep buying lottery tickets because one day I will drop by and take home one of Peter’s Boss ‘9s.

@@legendarymotorcar Can't wait Gary. I enjoyed every one of the Legendary Motorcar episodes with you and your dad, Peter. I think the season pass is still on my DVR, LOL. Also the show where he was one of the appraisers of classic cars about to go across the auction block. I'm glad I stumbled across your CZcams channel. Subscribed!

I still have some of the magazines Hot Cars and Super Street Cars from the long forgotten Engledrum Publishing that carried ads for Baldwin.
There was one for a 1970 Pase 3 Camero.
The advertisement said guaranteed to run 11:00 or better with an asterisk saying "With our driver and a sanctioned drag strip."

You need to, I drive by feel and listening, at 68yrs old I was lucky to drive alot of fun cars that today are called Muscle cars, back then they were just Hi -Performance cars 🚗!!! 2022

Wow! "Traction Action ", traction bars...a blast from the past. In it's vintage green with the side stripes, it looked just like mine. All that's left of it 38 years later are the door panels and the back seat. 😥

What kind of fuel are you running? I worked for Motion in the 70's parts man while I went to school across the Island. Amity Cheverolet (Steve) supplied the LS7's when I was there!

Holy Shit! Somebody finally mentioned a Baldwin Motion car. Everyone seems preoccupied with Yenko, Yenko, Yenko. When I was a kid Baldwin Motion ads were in all the go fast mags. Yenko cars were pretty tame compared to Motion's Phase III cars.
