    An even better idea is hook the positive straight to the pump and hook the ground to the switch. Switches burn up due to current and high amps and hooking the ground to the switches solves this problem.

    Is there anything you can't do brother? Another great video. I'm looking forward to seeing you fish out of that boat.

    Well sure you can do all that on your boat, but I bet you are not skilled enough, good enough, do it on mine! Prove me wrong! LOL
    I enjoy the vids, and like your boats.

    Why bus bars instead of a fuse panel? Fuse panel has both + and - but also has fuse for each circuit so you don't have to run inline fuses and some of them also have an led indicator at the fuse to show you which one is blown and ones that don't you can get fuses that have the glow when blown feature.

      There is a fuse panel. It’s located forward in the console. Bus bars aft near the pumps makes it easy to switch out the pumps on the fly. With a bus bar if there’s a failure it takes less than 2 minutes to switch to new pump and be back running.

    I like your power and ground bar. I assume that the positive wire is ran to dash switch. Is fuse panel at your dash for all your electrical equipment ? You must be busy fishing or working, or both, I notice you haven't put up any videos lately. Hope all is well.

      Thanks for watching I appreciate it. Yea all is good , life is crazy with work. It’s cooling off so I’m about to start posting up again. Stupid Covid screwed up everything lol. As for the power bar at the console , Yes I make sure the power bar and all individual circuits have a breaker. As for the bus bar in the back each individual circuit coming from the switches at the console are protected so no need to have anything on it.

      @@bowl830 Does your bilge pump have a auto float switch or is it manual where it works off of dash switch

    • @bowl830
      @bowl830  Před 2 lety +1

      It’s manual. I never leave it outside unless the plugs pulled. I just do t trust automatic switches. Have had a few bad experiences with them.

    Are you running the negative wire from battery to you ground bar or is the screws to the boat serving as the ground? You said connecting to aluminum boat as ground eats up the boat. So curious how ground is wired. Thanks

    • @bowl830
      @bowl830  Před 2 lety

      I ran a ground wire direct from battery

    What size (gauge) wire you use when rewiring your Starcraft. Was it marine wire ?

    • @bowl830
      @bowl830  Před 2 lety

      Yes I used marine tinned wire. I believe most was 14
