Brandon is very technical and is bringing a very melodic upbeat progressive sound to the band. I still dig the new album. Retains TBDM sound while adding a new feel.
I’m Gen Z (hate to say it) and grew up on pop and country, in fact I never had someone influence me into rock and metal and I introduced it to myself when I started learning guitar 5 years ago… So given that; I had never listened to TBDM or anything like them until I read about Trevor’s death in a Loudwire article and I started doing some digging into his music. This band has absolute talent in every aspect and wish I could’ve seen and enjoyed them while Trevor was still here. And yeah, this song is killer!!

For me...their preceding albums were very good...but no particular song ever found me randomly and got me to play the a certain song to purge it from my brain to my ears.their last two albums have done this though. I remember when my brother said he once saw these guys at Mixtape in Grand Rapids before they were big, and said it wasn't a good show (likely because it was a shitty small venue lol), and today here we are, both massive fans of their music.
People definitely do. However, this type of music just isn’t for everyone, and sometimes people just grow out of it. These guys used to be one of my favorite groups, but I kind of slacked off ninety-nine percent of all metal I used to listen to. Partly because it got old, and partly due to noise anxiety. It’s fine if you like it, but I think there are definitely better genres out there. It’s funny because Metal is such a fast-paced genre, and now I’m listening to a bunch of eighties music, and slower groups like Red House Painters, lol.
