    omg you bought those 1.33 sets, noice, I ordered just the tires to fit over the AliEx beadlocks but I was tempted to get those retro looking rims but couldn't get myself to spend close 70% of the cost of the car hahaha (even though I've probably spend 500% over since starting this hobby lol) (edit: why does YT keeps removing my comments whenever I mention AliEx?)

      Idk about the comment removal but yes i did buy them i thaught they were very cool and looked great and i figured i can also use them on my standard 1/18 rigs but not all of i think their too big for a 1/18 scale they look off imo they look alot better on the rig 👍

      @NWrcadventures the fms lc80 esc is a good, cheap, and small option. you can bind your lc80 controller to it.

    Thanks for sharing your comparisons. I"m also using the same 5 to 7mm hex adapters. I've installed the metal kit (axles, links, front shocks) as well as 62mm Hobbysoul sticky tires on 1.0 OGRC weighted beadlocks with a 3mm negative offset. My issue at the front is serious binding body/rub. I would really hate to widen the front fenders.

    • @NWrcadventures
      @NWrcadventures  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Hmmm interesting i dont have that issue with my steering probably because I haven't upgraded the steering links im still running the stock ones and so far so good the best thing i can come up with is probably move the top link that connects to the servo horn to the highest hole that might restrict the turning radius a bit possibly to avoid the links to bind up idk if it will help but you can give it a shot 🤟

    • @daijoubu4529
      @daijoubu4529 Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@NWrcadventures with the metal links, you can turn much further and it actually lessens the rubbing when full lock lol, I tried to restrict it but it limited the motion too much, that's why I was hopping those 64mm had better clearance than the 67mm WPL v1 (and more sticky)

    woah I got the DJCrawler tires in a week, record time but geez it seems like the foam they give you is at random?? Like packaging? I got 3 sets, 2 sets had hard foam, one set had 3 soft and 1 hard, I bought the super sticky EG version and it seems like out of the 12 tires, 2 are the regular sticky, bad QC much?? And I'm sorry to report that these don't fit the cheap AliExpress beadlocks/WPL V1 tires, the front and rear cover are like 0.5mm smaller but the ring is too small, so I designed a 3D printed ring instead and sent it to JL3DP for printing, my last prints came in a week or so, hopefully those new rings will fit but I'll loose the weight advantage, will be added leaded solder I suppose (16g metal ring vs 4g or so for the plastic one), if that still doesn't work, I'll be ordering those bad boys!!!

    Im thinking about getting the LC80 and haven't pulled the trigger on the purchase yet, but I have bought a couple pair of injora 1.0 beadlock wheels and tires to learn about them. Man! the screws are tiny and its tricky to get both halves aligned right, but I got that going. How are they held on the axle? There is hex in the back, I assume there is a hex on the axle, to lock it from spinning, and then just one nut/bolt in the middle of the wheel to keep it on? Nice video!

    Can the 5mm hex axles be cut so the track isnt so wide?

    • @NWrcadventures
      @NWrcadventures  Před 5 měsíci

      I would suppose so ive not done that yet the other option is using non offset wheels those will bring the wheel back in for a less wider track

      I put em on with heavy duty double sided tape brother it works every time and nothing comes off or falls off on the trail except for the sleeping bag and the spare tire double sided tape won't work for that setup u have to strap em down with tiny bungies so they wont fall off in the trail 🤟

    can i fit the djcrawler 1.3inch tyres without modifying the stock rims?

    • @NWrcadventures
      @NWrcadventures  Před měsícem

      No i believe the are gonna be too big for the stock rims not because of the size but the way the stock rims are designed the back side is wider than the front side so i will fit the back side but will be too big for the front side so i recommend the dj crawler 68 mm 1.0 inch tires they will fit perfectly but you will have to stretch em a bit for them to sit in the rim gaps properly but once that is done it should be a perfect fit also those are very soft and maluable tires so stretching em over shouldn't be hard
