Nice I got a used paragon 2 version off ebay a couple weeks ago. It is a great sounding engine. Its also quite a good puller. It managed to pull 67 cars up a 2% grade with out slipping. It could've pulled more, but I didn't have anymore cars.
Excellent locomotive analysis, you have to love these articulated steam locomotives ; one day when i have enough $$ saved up i would really like to purchase either a BLI UP Big Boy, a N&W Y6B or a SP Cab Forward model.
Very nice video I love that H6b I’m really impressed by how good it looks. I hope some day I’ll a Aux tender like you’ve got. Great video as always and I look forward to seeing more from you soon Jeff aka NW611. PS I really hope BLI releases a new run of those Aux tenders soon.
Hello' i follow you from italy, congratulation for all your video, they are so nice, im broadway limited fan, but in italy we dont have place to buy....i have only a few piece in my collection...
I think this is a beautiful model. It looks gorgeous and runs really well (typical Broadway), however I think the sound recordings themselves leave a lot to be desired. The whistle (while accurate) doesn’t have any echo or anything to it. The chuff sound is also abysmal and sounds toy-like. Something of that size needs to more more aggressive. My hope is that Broadway will continue to make progress on their models. It’s a company we have all been rooting for to make progress, however progress has been much too slow. I only hope that Paragon4 is what we have been waiting for.
I haven't been able to find exactly what is added with Paragon 4. I believe the new issue of PRR I1s still has no markers or cab light. Am I wrong about that?
Ihave the same smoke issues with some of my BLI locos, and the same voice recordings on different locos.Otherwise i love them especialy the heavy freight locos
You are mistaken about the tractive effort. A Northern Pacific Z-5 had just over 160K pounds of tractive effort at start with booster engaged. With booster engaged, in simple steam, the Y6-b was good for about 152K lbs. Small difference, but it is recorded and a fact.

Nice y6b engine! Has great sounds!

Y6b, not h6b
I just got #2172 and find it to be one of the best Broadway Limited smoking locomotives I own. The model has run flawless for the past few weeks.
Agree about markers and cab lights. Should be consistent across a top line of engines. Can't bring myself to get their I1s or M1b on that account.
If I can still get it I’m looking to get 2198 in the N&W blue scheme. Just because I like crazy one off schemes.

Its better but not what we all want. Hoping for better things as well with Paragon 4

Big boys are KING. 😄
BUT WHAT A BEAUTYFULL ENGINE ID BE HAPPY TO OWN ONE OF THESE TO ADD TO MY STEAM COLLECTION.
i want to get all of the BLI engines
Intresting fact, BLI used a authentic y6b whistle live field recording
Try blowing down the stack to fix the smoke. There may be an air bubble or something blocking it. This is common in O scale.
Did that a few times
does the rear engine swivel as well?
I like the part where the stack melts. (Gag joke) Would the Virginian 2-10-10-2 have the highest tractive force?
Thats not really a traditional steam loco
It's the most beautiful thing i've ever seen in my life...
It's Paragon3 INSIDE A Y6B
What is the difference with all this paragons? Asking as a European

Y6b is 190k
I have the Paragon2 version of the Y6b. Is it worth selling that and getting the Paragon3?
If your P2 runs perfect no
@@RodimusPrime Thank You
Did broadway limited made a y6a #2156
No y6a ever made
Paragon 4 has been a huge disappointment. My sample did the exact same thing. Will never purchase BLI again.
But it moved that's all it counts he he
BLI crappy smoke units
Its working fine now
