i watched this movie 4 times in theaters and then bought the movie and watch it nearly everyday… i’m also a pilot in training so this movie gives me serotonin for when i fly haha

Same story although I'm not a pilot in training (awesome for you!). I saw it 3 times in theaters and literally once a day since. I just love this movie. It's the definition of a feel good, comfort movie.
Tom Cruise is the best actor who do his own stunts with perfection.

This video repeats a strangely common myth that the film used Val's CGI voice for his final words. That voice, which he uses in his personal life, sounds very different, as you hear.
In fact they used his real voice. He really spoke those lines right there on the set, mustering all of it that he could; that is what you hear, clarified a bit. I don't know why people keep repeating this myth, but he instead deserves credit for his incredible performance.
Loved this movie, the scene with all the fighter jets taking off of the carrier took my breath away and I just knew this movie was going to be awesome. Will definitely see it again!!!

My husband is a retired AF pilot and was an AF instructor in training pilot training at Columbus AFB! Love this movie and we watch it two or three times a month! Can’t get enough!

I think this movie has given a new sort of respect for Tom for some people. I have always been a huge fan but some people judge his personal life but watching this film, it just shows the care and dedication Tom puts into his films and that is why he earns respect. Same with MI films. He is a wonderful actor and still so handsome! Every actor was perfect for their role. Have seen the movie 3 times in theaters and I am ready for a 4th time! LOVE it!

I have lost my hearing about 2 years ago, and I could still get the excitement, sadness of Goose & Iceman, and the happiness from all the characters. So that in itself tells you how awesome this movie was. I love both movies equally. 💖😎

"HELLO BETTY"! LOVED the beach scene, fun and brought good memories on the beach. Great movie. Brought out your Patriotism and appreciation of those in the military. The flying scenes were EXCELLENT! The story was imaginative and creative. Great job. Went beyond with their craft of acting and their performance throughout the movie. Loved it all!

There was a ton of nostalgia. Loved Miles Teller great job with mustache. Looked like a chip off the old block. He embraced his character and was absolutely perfect for that role. I loved Phoenix. She was badass n don't mess with her. She will be right on your 6. Great job girl.
I freaked out when during training the one dude passed out. I was all oh crap he's OUT. I screamed WAKE UP. The guy next to me laughed at me. There were points when emotions just flooded me and I was crying during those times. ( My ex husband was in Navy in 90s) so seeing green shirts on flight deck took me back and watching planes launch. We're still friends but yeah that got me a bit.
The flying. Holy crap Batman. Omfg. That was insane. Mind you I have seen jets up close so it was thrilling. The way they did the camera work it was amazing POV shooting. WOW 😳😳.
Seeing Mav texting ICE got my waterworks going😭😭😭
Knowing that man has been thru hell and fought back and he is part of this film. I was sobbing. I loved that he spoke AI granted but it made the scene that much more powerful. Great job. Val is an incredible person and talented actor. In his role even though brief. It really had an incredible impact. He is a beautiful human. ❤️

I loved how they took the F14 n Miles called it a relic.🤣🤣 Mav telling him after Rooster asked where the radio was. That was your Dad's Department lol.
This movie was well thought out and kept you on the edge. Great movie.

The shirtless scene is definitely a win! 😍 Great movie with great actors with real aircraft scenes and cool music! I have already seen this movie 6 times and recommend it to everyone! Studios should learn from this what a perfect movie is about.
Miles got that Goose looks! He’s the perfect choice to play Goose’s son.
After watching it three times in the theatre the intro song (or better 'gong') still gives me GOOSEbumbs.

I loved the movie and Pay Back, Hang man, Bob, Fan Boy, Coyote, Phoenix, Maverick, Ice man, and the two other AA actors. Maverick got a chance to see a lot of Egos in the room like him and Ice Man use to be when they were young and wild. There just has to be a #3 because we must see Maverick get in a higher position. The movie gets an A+ from me.
When she said "hello shimmering miles teller" I felt attacked LMAO thats one of my favourite parts of the movie and she just called me out on it 😂😂🤣🤣🤣

I have flown in an airplane with my dad since I was lil and have been a top gun fan from jump and this movie was hands down so epic top gun hit it hard but top gun Maverick hit my soul the sound the turns the G force I felt like I was in an airplane with my dad again this movie so so well executed so thx Tom cruise and team for such an amazing movie it was truly art what I all pulled off on the 2nd one I watch it at least 1 or 2 times a month I just can't get enough of it it truly brings me back to my child hood and flying with my dad so thx for that now that he has passed I can still go back and watch this movie and remember us watching top gun but also the great times we had flying and hanging out at the hangers at the air port and pulling the plane out God bless u all for this movie and thx Tom for coming back to make it with out I it's no good God bless
Loved this and saw it in the first week of release, and boy was it worth the 36 year wait! I was 16 when the original came out and bought the soundtrack on vinyl, had it on vhs, then bluray. It far exceeded my expectations, which ofcourse were huge, for me it could’ve carried on the film. But had lovely similarities and little callbacks to the original without being a complete copy or spolit by being too pc etc. looks like we have a long wait till the bluray release! But pleased this has been such a great hit and success.
Can't get enough of the movies . 1st seen 1000s of times , 2nd only 4 in a week so far . My dream is to go in any sort of fighter jet . Got half of it come true when my local cinema had a jet outside for fan event when maverick was released for us to sit in and have a photo x
This movie is so amazing, and it’s made me where I want to go with life. I’ve always wanted to be a pilot, but I think a naval aviator would be all I ever wanted.

One big reason is the flying is so much better, because it’s real.
36 years is a long time between original and sequel.
Fortunately, technology has grown and improved so much they were able to
do so much more in MAVERICK.
Two more reasons this was better were: Miles Teller and Glen Powell.

I loved all the actors in this and it was impressive to hear they learned to fly
Now the actors get invited by the Blue Angels to backseat for them - Monica Barbaro mainly. My guess is she's dating a Blue Angel
They learned to endure flying fighter jets they were actually behind the real topgun pilots
This movie hands down was perfect! I have zero complaints 👏🏽 and now is on my favourites list.
So glad to see a real masterpiece in theater. The action was tremendous, the lines memorable, the acting great, and the plot succeeded in deeply touching the heart. I give it a 9.5 of 10. What did it NOT have? No twisted, weird ideological agenda, no trying to indoctrinate kids in something abnormal, and no real political agenda (it was subtly patriotic, which is refreshingly normal). MASTERPIECE
Oh, almost forgot: The best movie by Tom Cruz so far. And... Thank you, to the Navy and Department of Defense for approving of their involvement in its production

I loved this movie. It did remind me of Top Gun. A bunch of egos in Top Gun school (class) I love the scene where some one was spending the football and Mile (Rooster) dances. I kept rewinding to hear the song I ain't worried. it put me in the mood to dance. I give the Movie an A+.
Fantastic movie. Was going into the movie expecting into be bad, but i absolutely loved it.
Came out on Cox On-Demand yesterday and I watched it twice in one night and I'll probably watch it again tonight.
Cast member Glen Powell recounted, "We shot it and that night we all went out for milkshakes and tater tots. Just like splurge and everybody grabbed a beer. And a week later Tom's like, "We gotta shoot it again. It wasn't good enough. We're gonna shoot it again. And then everybody's back in the gym again, day and night."

This movie is not just bad ass buy also emotional for me. Never thought that I'd be in tears especially during the emotional scenes.
Something to mention the actors did not actually fly the plane there were actual Navy pilots in the backseat flying her. From some interviews and other videos it seemed like the actual navy pilots had fun.

Yep I found it on Google movies. After renting and watching it I immediately paid for it and now it’s mine forever! So I can watch it over and over again. I kept telling my son it was AWESOME and he had to watch it and he was like “sure, yeah yeah I’ll get to it.” He finally got to it last night. And he called me and asked me why I didn’t tell him how great it was. 😂😂😂

Tom cruise makes everything real
Miles Teller's choice as 'Goose's son was a perfect casting choice. While Glen Powell is a good actor, Teller, with his mustache, actually looks like he could have been Anthony Edwards's son. Catch Glen Powell in another airplane film 'Devotion' (2022) about two pilots during the Korean war.

I absolutely loved this movie I've actually seen it twice now lol. But, Miles Tellers mustache is real I've seen multiple of his interviews so that the only inaccurate thing in this video but I love it either way. :]
They were just saying he didn’t have a mustache when he met with Cruise before he was cast. At that point it was photoshopped in so Cruise could see the resemblance to Goose. That apparently helped to sell him on Miles Teller over Glen Powell for the role. Yes he did develop a real mustache for the movie.

Let's add - to make things more interesting - that Matthew Modine even turned down the main role (Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell) of the original Top Gun for a similar reason. The role that made Tom Cruise famous, deservedly so.

Pullman’s son did not fly (pilot) the F-18 in the movie, he was a WSO (Weapons Systems Officer), who sits in the backseat and controls things like targeting, flares, comms, etc. so the pilot can concentrate on flying, just like Goose did in the first movie.
They were referring his dad used a stunt double but Bob(son) was actually in the aircraft flying. Not literally flying but in the jet.

I'd have loved to have been in this movie, just for all of the training exercises alone!
I have seen reviews by former Naval Aviators who love this movie, but there is one major flaw that drives them Crazy. Early in the movie they make it very clear the F/A-18 is no match for the enemy's next gen fighters. The Carrier is loaded with Next Generation F-35 fighters on the deck and probably flying a CAP, or Combat Air Patrol. Why do they Send Hangman out in an F/A-18 prepped for a bombing mission with bombs and a centerline fuel tank to rescue Maverick from an SU-57. That SU-57 is going to see that F/A-18 from miles away, go engage it, shoot it down and come back for the F-14 that is out of Ammo. The Naval Aviator said there would be no less than 4 of the F-35's going out to save Maverick and take out that SU-57, which the moment sees 4 fighters coming at it will bug out.
