    Buy this guitar! Seriously, you will not regret it. It’s a really well made, high grade instrument. It totally holds its own with my Custom Shop Fenders and Gibsons.
    Not only that, it has a vibe and personality that makes you want to keep playing. It really brings a smile to your face.

    I got one of these two weeks ago and it sounds amazing. Craftsmanship is great and it's light. I also love the neck profile. It's a keeper!

      Jimmy could you please tell me what the neck profile is like compared to a Gibson? Is it a 50s Vintage, or a Slim Taper, or a Rounded? Thank you

    • @JimmyRadloff
      @JimmyRadloff Před 2 lety

      @@adajay9257 it's a fat 50s style neck. It's pretty thick, but still very comfortable to play. I took a little bit of the gloss finish down on the back of the neck as it felt a little too sticky to me initially. The guitar is absolutely fantastic though.

    The SB55/v is my first Eastman, and it plays like a dream and sounds incredible! My friend who plays a Jr. was highly impressed and said it played and sounded better than his. You are well served to spend more time with that beast Brett! Well done!

      I tried out two Gibsons before finding the Eastman and I was disgusted. Rough frets, intonation issues out of the box, nearly unplayable. I played a couple riffs on the Eastman and handed my money over. Too good.

    Getting this guitar was a bit of an epiphany. A single great P90 is really all you need for a ton of great sounds. It’s become my main because it works with every amp or style of music I play.

    It is not a nitro finish. It is a varnish finish that has a French polish. More labor intensive, it is what the put on their classical string interments which is what Eastman is know for. Mine is not quite that light @ 6lbs. 14oz but still very light. The neck is 1.72" at the nut (which is real bone) and has a soft V profile and is around .88 (1st) to .98 (12th) thick. The fret work is flawless, the guitar plays like it just came from a highly skilled luthier. There was a mention of Harley Benton I guess because it is also a Chinese made guitar but that is like comparing a Buick to a Porsche. They are really Custom Shop grade instruments at very reasonable prices. It is nicer then my American made Fender and Gibson. They are guitar's that need no setup, mods or upgrades. Mine came exactly as it was spec'd, the only thing I did was drop the bridge a hair and add a little more relief because that is what I like but you could easily take it out of the case tune it up and never need to touch a thing. They are amazing sounding instruments.

    • @mskcrc
      @mskcrc Před 3 lety +1

      I played a pair of USA LPJrs and was kind of disgusted by the quality for the price. The Eastman is cheaper and plays like it cost double what it does. I plan to buy one of their 335 copies soon before people catch on. These things really do feel like custom shop items. The only downside is their limited color options, but the available colors are gorgeous.

    • @adajay9257
      @adajay9257 Před 2 lety

    • @BrettKingman
      @BrettKingman  Před 3 lety +6

      The Harley Benton is in a different league, Neil. It's built to a price point whereas the Eastman is built to a quality standard. In my opinion it is not a 'problem' so much as a difference - and quite a big one.
