Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear lip rings and beanies. Thanks for the video!
Why wear the ring tho
@@ButtmanRises cuz that's his thing man
👍👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸
WTF?
Yeah it pisses mě off with all these metal bands djenting in everysong
The true bypass test had me dying... 🤣🤣🤣
"BULLLLS***" 👏👏👏
Definitely buying that. Thanks for the review!
Exactly the review I was looking for. Thanks for posting!
China-made stuff is actually getting quite good huh
Most tech anyone owns is made in China. The problem with a product made in China isn't the fact that it's made in China. The problem is when companies that have stuff made there spend as little as they can get away with on quality control and material quality and still move products. You can get cheap junk made there or you can get pricier things that are good quality made there.
Lots of gear comes out of China. Where things get a little wonky is when the brands themselves are Chinese. Often, Chinese companies that supply the parts to American brands copy the specs with lower quality materials to create an effective copy. That said, we're planning a shootout with a bunch of these mini pedal brands in the new year because honestly, they do the freakin' job!!
those damn kids are getting smarter
Oh yes even the virus made there are very effective
bruh, I was just thinking this what the chances? lol
Just bought this pedal and I can confirm it's amazing😍😛
Zohib Iqbal
Really? I just ordered it online just right now
Just ordered one! Should be here in a couple weeks... now we wait.
what can you say about some comments that it sucks some sustain?
@@onzkicg Yeah, It does that. Then again, the signal from a sustained chord, or moreover note, will naturally get softer and quieter, easily falling under the threshold of what signals can get through the gate. So, I can't really blame the pedal for that.
How silent is it?
Just grabbed one of these, thanks for the excellent review and demo
Nice! Clear and really really straight to the point, thx for your review and AB Test❤
Ultra useful video man, thanks!
wow.ive been wondering about the performance of this pedal and you squelched all my worries and provided me the full answers I need.i also like my tone and note trails to not be cut off...lol.thanks bro.
Great review! Thanks for this. Great job.
Thanks for the suggestion. I just ordered one :-)
Really great review and thoughts. Thank you. Keep up a good work!
Just picked up one of these after watching this review. Works great! Keep up the awesome work, Eric!
It change your sound?
Thanks man! Just ordered mine gonna give it a go!
Cual de los dos pedales hermano
Thank you a ton!
Noise reduction/suppressor pedals and noise gates work in different ways to each other. Noise reduction stops all noise and let's all noise through once the gate opens. With a noise gate, they allow only the guitar signal through. The noise reduction/suppressor pedal let's the white noise/ hiss through as well, where the noise gate cuts that white noise out.
Thanks for this. Been looking for the best budget noise gate out there....
Super clean board bro. Great vid! Cheers
The double standards in the guitar world never cease to astound me. Well done with your review and keeping it real.
You give some very reasonable considerations .. thank you Eric..
Thanks bro, seems like a good alternative.
This is the guy we all hung out with in high school. BTW, Thanks man! you really helped me out a lot!
Watched several noise gate videos, your video convinced me instantly I need to get one of those inexpensive Rowin’s! Thanks!
Thank you so much for this!
gonna subs to this channel, thx for the honest review
Cool bro! Excellent explanation, you made it clear, now I'm more sure of buying it
Excellent comparison video! Have you experimented with it plugged in between the preamp and the amp?
you sir saved me a 100$, i was looking for MXR smartgate, I use to have a caline noise gate, but its bulky so i sold it, it works the same as rowin, now im getting this rowin coz of its footprint
Hey Eric thanks for this review, I play a Tele through a Fender Hot Rod Deville with a Wampler Pinnacle set on Boost/Modern and when when I crank it up it sequels like crazy , I play punk music so I need overdrive but with the single coils it's got a tone of feedback. Hey here's a beauty tip for your nails haha, my wife and daughter use gel nail polish and it last's a long time and takes a beating! I felt weird typing that on a guitar review haha.
Wow dude Im gonna invest into one of them lil pedals 🤘 thanks for the info
Just bought this pedal because of this review I’ve been looking for a noise gate but only like the isp in demos but seen this for sale and noticed that you liked it more and hearing the difference was almost nonexistent I ordered it right away
Great video. Thanks for the help
I got one today. I like it as it does the job great! Especially for the $$ but it does mess w/ the treble, bass, and dynamics on higher threshold settings. My Zoom G3 NR does alter the sound a bit too. I doub't the ISP would be as bad. All in all a great buy! Thanks for the vid.
Nice. Going to order it. :) awesome vid man. 👍
Love it man, thanks! I was in doubt due to the price, but wll get it!
excellent review much appreciated
I have the EXACT same mini noise pedal. I love it. Also I love my tc noise gate. I put them head to head. And damn. The mini pedal gave me a run for its money
I had an MXR smart gate, sold by Dunlop, but designed by Tom Scholz as part of the Rockman line of modules. I needed another gate for my Rockman rig, and could use two of them for my stereo rig. Tom Scholz uses one early in his signal, chain, right after his sustainer, which houses a compression and distortion stage. If I run that rig through my stereo rig, I will use one of each as the last thing going into the amps. I can also use them on my pedal board as part f the stereo rig. So far they work great!
hi eric! is this pedal should place after the dirt efx?? great video by the way. thanks for sharing.
What an amazing intro with that smoking guitar
Hey Eric ! So I got my $30 buck noise gate thanks to your review and HOW DID I GO THIS LONG WITHOUT IT ?? This is now an essential pedal on my board. Just as awesome as you said. The soft gate is wonderful. Now I can use my Ibanez Tone Lok pedals free from hiss !
thank you and dont worry ithought the same thing!
I bought it and use it...this pedal is great quality and works very well. Recommended
I actually bought that Rowan pedal because of your review a while back, i have a tele and i play high gain punk stuff so the squealing is crazy and i needed to kill it or at least tone it down, it actually works pretty well for what I play. I'm trying to switch back to a humbucker guitar but this pedal is a pretty good deal, I play through a Blackstar HT Stage 60 2x12 but through a Vintage 30 4x12 cab which cranks so i run the pedal on the hard setting at 12 o'clock.
Thanks for a good review, saved me $100 dollars
thanks for this review 🤘
Rowin noise gate pedal is Amazing, works great, and even looks and feels like a boutique pedal, Thanks a lot!
Great video and information!!!
That intro is cool as hell haha
Thanks my friend... Mine arrived today just 15 minutes ago..
thanks for the video, dude. that even explain the functions. nice (y)
I'm glad I ordered one of these now
The pedal market has changed. You can buy today a lot of that micro-pedals which are equal to bigger ones, but cost not much. I am a mooer/tomsline fan, got plenty of their micro pedals, love them.
thats a fact now. aliexpress is booming up.
Do you use this through the effects loop? I just purchased the 5150 mooer preamp and I don’t know if I use this after the amp or next to the mooer in the effects loop too.
And not to mention it has only input and output so ur limited I'd still rather a boss ns2
I can make one trip from the car to venue.....nuff said..love small foot print
Recently got the brown sound and MK 4 preamps and oh boy…its amazing!!
Dude that noise gate from rowin is god , I love it , couldn’t be happier with it on my pedal board A+ recommendation
Nice review, I also have this Rowin noise gate pedal, and I'm satisfied with the result
Thank you. This lets us be informed on our decision when buying a noise gate pedal
🙌🙏🙏🙏🤘👍
I have the same pedal but it's called Donner Noise Killer. Pretty sure it's the same pedal rebranded. Having used ISP g string and regular pedals before I can confirm it does the job prey much the same as them.
Nice review, very informative! Thanks for sharing...
Thanks for this video. Ok so this pedal is really a Clone of ISP Decimator ? filtering the hum and hiss out, not just between notes but even during playing ... ? So the noise is still in the Sound or not? Thanks
This pedal doing his job superb
Nice. Never heard of the that brand. I'm getting one. Looks like they have quite a few minis. Have you tried any of the others?
Hahaha I busted out laughing when I heard you say “bullshit” in the background
Good video I’m getting this thanks Eric the review are awesome
Your very welcome
Oh hell ya awesome video dude
Hi, are you using 9v 100ma power adapter? or what input/output do you use? Thanks!
Thanx for the honest review. Gonna get Rowin noise gate...true bypass and amazing reasonable price!
Nice! Been looking for a noise gate or noise suppressor. True bypass is great. I try to have all my rig as analog as possible. Do analog noise gates exist? I know the boss noise suppressor is listed on analog man.
Just sold me. Thank you sir :D
Thank you for not making a clickbait title. I wanted to watch this review because I respect your “ears” and wanted to keep watching to know why you thought this was dope. Cheers.
Thank you haha i try to be 100% real! im going to try this our for shows for rythem!
You sold me on it dude🤘🏼it shows up today
thanks for the vid man, I'm going to buy one, I bought a joyo dyna compressor recently for $36 after trying to decide which boss compressor would be right for me, couldn't be happier with the Chinese one and $100 extra dollars in my pocket
It's unfortunate that people have taken "true bypass" and associated it with "better." There are particular places and situations where true bypass is fine, and there are others where a buffer is absolutely necessary. People find this out pretty quick when they fill their pedalboards with true bypass pedals and realize that the equivalent of 1000 feet of cable in resistance has turned their guitar tone to absolute mud. If only they had a buffer, but oh wait that's not "true bypass" so it must not be good... ugh.
I will probably end up buying this noise gate. But buffered bypass isn't worse. It is just different. There are amazing musicians with amazing tone that use Boss pedals
Just bought one and you’re absolutely right. This noise gate is perfect. I used to have the Decimator. Lately I’ve been using the Behringer clone of the NS-2. Switched to the Rowin and I’m thrilled with it. I like both switch settings and it’s super easy to dial in. Thanks for making this video. I’m pretty sure it’s you that made me aware of this pedal! Cheers.
Does the Rowin have the tone-suck like the NS-2? I'm thinking of getting a ISP Decimator for my FX loop bc my NS-2 sucks tone so hard in the FX loop even in the X-cable method.
@@josefkainrad no tone suck with the Rowin. It’s really very good. Still using it.
Bro thanks much!
Rowin is awesome... thank you
After watching your video I just got the donner noise killer. Best choose ever man. I already reviewed it on my channel. No need to spend hundreds on it. Thanks dude
Your amp has quite a percussive sound, what amp setting are you on?
U look like Mr Schneebly lol 🤘🤘🤘
Chris Saxon Fuck Yeah he does.
I was like _What how does he look like Jack Black?_ And then I remembered there’s a real Mr Schneebly😂
It's "Shnay-blaaay"
Well spoken, ser!
Hey, bro. I'm considering buying this or the boss ns 2. Is the ns 2 true bypass aswell? Which do you prefer?
soft and hard is all the difference in the world. She said so.
Great video thank you..l don't have any pedals..but l use the amp distortion..can l use these noise gate pedal straight in the front..l don't have a loop..but is it cool to go threw the front.
Hi Eric! I’m not sure what’s up with mine, but I tried every position with this baby in my chain and it barely did anything.. although when I put it from my guitar true bypass to my amp Marshall JVM 210 it worked fantastic! Do you maybe have an idea at how I can get this to work?
I use the electro-harmonix Silencer. After watching this I'm definitely going to check it out. Mine has 3 too many buttons and that one looks pretty simple to use. Thanks bud 👍🎸
Juice With Isaac Was looking into getting a Silencer. Might have to try this one first?...
I have an EHX Silencer, but I'm not in live with it. I bought the Rowin, because of this review, and it has just knob.... and it's $30
Huge thanks for the vid, just scored one of these for £14.99!!
Hey bro, how are you? best regards from México, awesome channel, I have a question for you, do you thing that Rowin Noise Gate is a better choise than the Boss NS-2?
¿Cuál noise gate terminaste comprando y qué tal te ha funcionado? ¿Has podido probar este rowin? Saludos!
Thought about getting one for front and one in the loop
I have this noise reducer. Great pedal, it will clean up the guitar signal without eating up tone and sustain.
Do u need a pedal board for this to work and does it get rid of feedback by chance?
Have you tried the Behringer NR300? Wonder how this compares?
Keep us updated on how well it holds up if you're going to use it live.......
I’m running emgs hetset and Kirk Hammett bone crusher on 6505+ will this be effective getting rid of the feedback?
Do u have the rowin in front or in loop?
i have no idea who you are but i dropped a like because of that dope ass intro
My pocket tells me I should go for the Rowins noise gate. At the moment it seems my pocket has a rather loud voice, at least louder than any difference in quality my ears can notice. 🤣
Great tip, Eric! Thanks for sharing!
Was going to buy the behringer NR300, but I saw this video and decided to buy the Noise Killer instead. Thanks for the review!
Love that you actually covered all the topics of both pedals, easy to listen to and no "BULLSHIT" lol subbed!
