  • Seyðisfjörður is a small town in Iceland of around 668 people. It sits at a inner cornder of a fjord, surrounded by mountains. The settlement of Seyðisfjörður began to develop into a trading centre in 1848. Fishing for herring, also known as "the silver of the sea", made the town prosperous. Many of the multi-coloured wooden houses were built in this period by Norwegian merchants and whalers.
    Information about the tour:
02:16 - Landslide damage. From 15 to 18 December 2020, several landslides hit the town of Seyðisfjörður, destroying or damaging more than 10 buildings. Thankfully, there were no injuries. The largest landslide occurred on 15 December, and it ranks as the most damaging landslide to have affected an urban area in Iceland
03:47 - The cannon was built in 1854. It is believed to have been moved to Seyðisfjörður during the visit of King Frederick VIII of Denmark.
    04:25 - Auðbjörg, ship.
05:13 - Incredible the amount of damage done by the landslides.
16:06 - Seyðisfjarðarskóli. School of Seyðisfjörður.
    16:52 - Swimming pool
20:00 - The Blue church of Seyðisfjörður (Seyðisfjarðarkirkja).

Yes I think so although it was pretty messed up after the landslides last december. That's why you see the pathes of gravel and dirt early in the video. Destroyed a few houses.
