I got to see him in concert for my 21st birthday in 1976, thanks to a friend’s generous gift of tickets to his concert. We were just rows from the stage. It was great! This video brings back great memories.
I saw him live about a year before he hit it big, it was in a cafeteria at Buff State. We said, hey this guy is pretty good. We underestimated the result.
Saw him in the Seattle kingdom in the late 70s. Awesome concert. And then again in Jacksonville, Florida in the 90s. Of course by then he didn’t have that beautiful hair 😊 But still awesome

Thankyou for your comment, it's called a talk box and goes back to the 1930's.The talk box itself consists of a box, in which a speaker (often a compression driver) feeds into a plastic tube. The speaker connects to the speaker output on the instrument (guitar) amplifier, and reproduces the audio signal from the instrument. The player places the other end of the tube in his or her mouth. i saw him April first this year at the State Theater in Minneapolis. and he blew me away. It was the greatest night of my life.
