soldier sucks it's outclassed by marksman in range and max dps, outclassed by gs in raw dps (the expensive HD does not matter if you use plasma in pvp or just plain good farming in solo mode, in fact all of its levels are below 235 CE even if its expensive at least its worth the price) and just take a look at max soldier CE (which is 243) and compare to max marks (which is 224 CE), imagine having worse CE than a tower with more range? very sad. and max golden scout (it has 212 CE) which is very good and is the best until you look at enforcer. even if theyre more expensive, at least its worth the price, dont mistake cheaper with better value without considering the DPS. what boss rush can it even counter? All it can do is get carried by better towers. in an actual 1v1 i'd be very surprised if soldier could survive midgame rushers because it cant unless you play on midnight road and ur argument that shotgun sucks because no HD is a valid argument until you realize youre allowed to bring more than one tower to defend early game and btw *GC Phaser Shotgun Cmdr Farm* (or replace Shotgun with Gold Scout) works better on Dead end valley than *GC Phaser Soldier Cmdr Farm* (soldier cant survive early game on dead end valley since it sucks) and merc also sucks because of similar reasons as soldier (outclassed and very poor cost efficiency)
