@superbeeblaze thats bout what i figured! i run a LT1 and six speed in my blazer. bout 2200 rpm at 75mph. ive got super 44 flowmasters but have always loved the spintechs. think i may have to go buy a set now lol. badass blazer though.
Hey this is my buddys account, but thanks for the kind words.. The 4wd is non-existant now.. Im actually running a t56 as you can see in my newest burnout video.. The 4wd would be plausible, I just dont know how long the front cv shafts would last as its lowered 7 inches in front from stock... The 700 can be built up to live, i built mine pretty strong, I just had a 3-4 clutch pack go out tho due to a pressure loss somewhere, havent tore down to diagnose, as i put the 6 speed in an never look
@CatfishingChris try to find a driveshaft off a 2wd longbox S10. They have 2 pc Driveshafts. The extended cab should have one too since its has the longest wheelbase of the short, long, ext cab beds. I do have one but I dont know if its all there. I know the rubber bushing would need to be replaced. You could get a long tailshaft trans too. That would help you get closer to the rear but idk if it would be enough. Its been awhile since Ive been under mine so maybe.
ed back. A twin turbo 3.5 would be awesome... Im tired of this blazer, so the next one i want to do is gonig to be a square body s10, Definately wanting to do an lsx, but undecided on an all motor build or a single turbo setup... THe blazer just doesnt have enough power to constitute awd tho, when i get some cal-tracs and some stickey tires for the track, it should have plenty of traction.
yes sir, im actually going to swap it out today actually as soon as this stupid rain stops.. Already have everything converted except the actual trans it self..
@CatfishingChris OOps. forgot to specify, it is a ONE piece shaft. Not two. Color is i belive 03-05 saturn cobalt blue. It looks great in the sun. I just wish mine was wet sanded and looked better. In person its far from perfect.
Looks and sounds great. I put a crate 350 and a turbo 350 trans in my88' and later sold it. Now I wish I had it. It was a poor mans hot rod/sleeper and it had a back seat (now that I have a son). Very clean and nice ride. Thumbs up
@CrikeyMang If you could look at yours,id surely appreciate it. I actually spotted one out of a extended cab s10 at the pull it yard. I had thought about it. I cant find anyone that has done a full 2wd swap for info till now.
@CatfishingChris Sorry, just now saw this. If you simply get a 2wd driveshaft, it will go right in, and clear the tbar x'member. Its not an issue at all.
This truck is the motivation for me wanting to build a 2nd 2dr Blazer lol tbh I'm looking at a swb or ext cab as a new daily. Wanting to do Corvette zo6 blue based on seeing this truck
Thanks for the kind works man... I have been an auto tech for the past 8 years up until this last year so anything now is cake, but yeah when I started I was still in high school so most stuff ive done was my first time on it. honestly if I were to build one now, id change almost everything lol but I cant say that im disappointed completely, as its been a reliable truck its whole life. The cam IS the comp 282 (actually a regrind) its the same 230/232 dur and 510/530 lift, 110 lsa
@superbeeblaze its great for doin like pro street type events. i almost got my hands on a 6 liter ls2 for it.....still waiting to see. ill post one up for sure. thanks
The x-pipe is a universal one that I put in. I don't mind the mufflers, I like exhaust loud and raspy, but this one isn't bad actually. Currently im running an H-pipe with mufflers ending under rear seat area and nothing after them... The bassy rumbly is crazy loud inside but its fun... I will definatly be putting on tails later on, when you add the tails, it gives it more tone and DOES increase that raspy sound, also depends a lot on engine..How much compression, cam profile and head design.
@superbeeblaze Glad i ran across this. I have a 91 4x4,whole 4x4 system removed except the tcase and torsion system. I want to remove the 4x4 trans and put in a 2wd. From the look of the torsion cross member/driveshaft angle It looks like id have to fabricate a 2 pc shaft system to prevent the driveshaft from touching the torsion member.. What did you do about this? can you get me some pictures? this is the only thing left holding me up. thank you!
@CatfishingChris will do..i should be gettin down & dirty here in the next day or so Ill dig it out, take a look and see if I got all the pieces to it. Do you have a 2dr or 4dr?
Thanks! I currently get 20 mpg highway at 80mph and ac on.. that is at about 13.5-1 air fuel ratio...after i get it leaned down to mid 14's i expect several mpg better.... Its hard to baby it tho. I dont even bother figuring city mpg.
@billybob450r right on man. caltracs are definatly on the list. This video was shot when i first took the truck out and tires were cold and road was pretty smooth. If it spins in 1st it will always catch in second when the tires are warm, so its not usually this bad by any means.
yes, it was from an exploder...3:73, 31 spline.. I got a special u-joint to adapt from ford rear, and chev driveshaft. The leak spring mounts are only a little wider so they can actually bolt up to the stock leafs without any modification. (it DOES however tweak the leak spring bushings a little) Had to re-drill the drums for my chev bolt pattern wheels... Pretty easy swap.
@superbeeblaze Cool. will the center bearing for the shaft line up on the torsion member to drill holes or will i need to weld something in? Also,what color code is your blazer paint? Id love to have mine that color.
@grimreaper888 Depends on the rpm. at 75 where i cruise at on the interstate its actually great. 60 mph tho its loud. Overall its not bad inside the cab. Main thing is tailpipes, if you add tailpipe even if its only a few feet it will help tremendously. And imo sound alot better. I guess you could say they are smililar to flows tho, maybe a little less resonance and bit more tone out them.
@TxElite87 The grill is a gmc jimmy grill, that i grabbed two of, and cut out the ribs on one and the letters on the other and glued the ribs in place of the GMC logo to give it a smooth look.
@CrikeyMang Ive got a 2 door. 700r4 trans. My main deal is the torsion member. Will that center shaft bearing bolt onto it if i drill some holes or will there be some crazy arch il have to weld on it?
are you talking about the ones i used to have that exited in front of the rear tires? If so those were stock 4th gen camaro tips that i cut the outer lip off. thx
well i dunno if the cops think this way too, but i think straight pipes, shreal sounding hondas, and harleys sound wayyy more obnoxious and more likely to get a ticket before something like that.....
Dude! I love ur truck- reminds me of the '89 TPI I used to own. Does your 4wd still work? If so, how did you lower your blazer? I think your stance is about perfect for this project idea I have for another 2dr, but this time with a twin-turbo V6-60 (most likely a 3500). Still need to figure out what AWD tcase (syty's were different than Bravada's internally) to use and how to make that awful 700r4 live.
@ thanks. And eh, it was alright, i got the trans rebuilt and a fresh engine and im going to throw a turbo on it. My s10 in my other videos will run circles around it. Fun to bang gears tho
hey , looks great i have a 85 2wheel drive blazer with a 305 out of a monte carlo ss,what color is the paint ,like code and year it looks great that color just pops.,,,,,,,,, good job man!!
oh yeah, im def goin lsx in my next project, killer motors. Have you seen this: dub dub dub hotrod DOT COM/techarticles/hrdp_1109_stock_gm_ls_engine_big_bang_theory/
I have a 56 Chevy with 2.5 inch exhaust, a Magnaflow X pipe & Spintech Super Pro Street 9000s on it, sounds pretty good but a little too raspy, at 2000rpm the car really rattles. When I punch it on the freeway I get a noticeable fluttering sound. I just bought a pair of the Spintech Pro Street 6000's, about to have them installed, how do you like them? Does your exhaust flow all the way out back or do you have turndowns? Are they pretty raspy or does the exhaust note sound pretty clean? Thanks
i cant remember now, its the pro street whatever series is loudest. This is on a fairly low compression engine, they will sound even better on something with some more comp!
@superbeeblaze thats bout what i figured! i run a LT1 and six speed in my blazer. bout 2200 rpm at 75mph. ive got super 44 flowmasters but have always loved the spintechs. think i may have to go buy a set now lol. badass blazer though.

not bad at all sounds good runs strong
sharp as a tack, nice truck
nice truck man looks good
love it that thing is a beast

@grimreaper888 ahh nice. I want a T56 so bad. Next truck I do im doing an lsx t-56 combo for sure. Get a clip of yours when you get the mufflers.
Damn good looking blazer man. Sounds healthy.
@s154x4 Yes sir. Now it just has the 4wd frame and torsion bar setup. No front end or transfer case anymore.
They are the pro street spintechs! thanks.
yes sir, im actually going to swap it out today actually as soon as this stupid rain stops.. Already have everything converted except the actual trans it self..
Sweet!

nice blazer, i been looking for one in my area but they are no were to be found atleast for sale
@CatfishingChris Sorry, just now saw this. If you simply get a 2wd driveshaft, it will go right in, and clear the tbar x'member. Its not an issue at all.

Thanks!
Notched the torsion bar crossmember and leafs and blocks for the rear.
@lntothevoid haha np man.
sick ride like the paint
my bad lol just saw blaze in the name thought you might, not the most inconspicuous vehicle to do it in ^_^
Thanks for the kind works man... Thanks Joey!
VERY NICE! I love it looks clean. I have a 92 jimmy looks similar
@88s10Durango HAHA yup!

That thing sounds freakin amazing, thanks for the clip.

275/40/17 and 225/45/17 tires
SWEET TRUCK!
Thanks man!
Thanks, its called Cobalt blue metallic... its off a Saturn, around an 02 year I believe. I don't have the paint code at the moment.
Thanks!
I currently get 20 mpg highway at 80mph and ac on.. that is at about 13.5-1 air fuel ratio...after i get it leaned down to mid 14's i expect several mpg better.... Its hard to baby it tho. I dont even bother figuring city mpg.

@grimreaper888 Thanks. They are the 9000 series. the super pro streets.
@superbeeblaze

nice blazer got vids of my v8 blazer coming soon
Thanks
I miss my Blazer..

Well damn, I love the way it sounds, I just feel like where I live I'd get ticketed for noise.
275/45/17 and 225/45/17 for the front. Thanks, they are old outdated wheels but they dont look bad on it.
im savin for a truck just like yours to set next to my 2nd gen 2 door blue blazer thats like the nicest truck ive ever seen
Thanks!
yes i agree! cant wait to hear what they sound like loaded by a manual transmission and more tailpipes.
yeah i hear ya, not many nice ones driving around anymore, at least, anywhere where it snows...
i love it. do u go blunt cruisin in this thing?
@TxElite87 The grill is a gmc jimmy grill, that i grabbed two of, and cut out the ribs on one and the letters on the other and glued the ribs in place of the GMC logo to give it a smooth look.

clean ride sounds mean but man get u some caltrac bars and better shocks doesnt any good if u just spin
are those the 6000 or 9000 series?? sounds sick!
@kauster Thankyou!
@CBZED101 Whoa, HEY MAN!!!! long time no talk. Thanks for the comment!
Only @ v8s10.Org can life begin ,
Sweet ride SuperBeeBlaze !!!!
well i dunno if the cops think this way too, but i think straight pipes, shreal sounding hondas, and harleys sound wayyy more obnoxious and more likely to get a ticket before something like that.....
Well just lost 3rd and 4th gear tonight so I will be putting in a six speed this winter.
@superbeeblaze how is it in the cab? bad resonance like flowmasters?
Eagle 077
@daveinmd01 Thanks!
@wolfdog1987 Thankyou for watchin!
X-pipes flow better, but I prefer the DEEPER TONE of h-pipes. X-pipes are way to RASPY for me! Your setup sounds killer though!
wat type n size wheels do u have on it
Wasn't that thing 4wd at one time?
Where did you get the grill inserts?
Have you ever had any problems with the cops while running this setup?
What kind of rims are those??
How low did you lower it?
Love da stance on it!! Awesome sound! What series spintechs?
What truck do you have?
nobody, Using stock length... Im just using 4wd offset wheels to let it fit.
Thanks. Naw, i live in ks.
Dude! I love ur truck- reminds me of the '89 TPI I used to own. Does your 4wd still work? If so, how did you lower your blazer? Still need to figure out what AWD tcase (syty's were different than Bravada's internally) to use and how to make that awful 700r4 live.
Nope..
There are mufflers on it, so i dont think it would matter anyways....
What size wheel and tire combination?
what size tires are you running on that Beast?!?!?! the eagle 077 look awesome bro
What motors in bl azer
355, 282 roller cam, vortecs in this vid
How low did you drop it? I jus bought an 85 as a project because of your rig. What size wheels/tired do you run?
Ever figured out the drop?
oh yeah, im def goin lsx in my next project, killer motors. Have you seen this: dub dub dub hotrod DOT COM/techarticles/hrdp_1109_stock_gm_ls_engine_big_bang_theory/
I have a 56 Chevy with 2.5 inch exhaust, a Magnaflow X pipe & Spintech Super Pro Street 9000s on it, sounds pretty good but a little too raspy, at 2000rpm the car really rattles. i cant remember now, its the pro street whatever series is loudest.
This is on a fairly low compression engine, they will sound even better on something with some more comp!
superbeeblaze if it was around 11:5:1 it would sound amazing, specially on some 180 degree headers
Do u know what the offset is?
Who shortened ur 8.8?
oh and who makes your X pipe?
So in the video you were running an X pipe but now you're running an H, how come you switched?
@Fuckotherbiffjacobs I'd rather have someone steal it then make up a silly tag cover for internet videos.
How much do you want for it
6K when I fix whats wrong with it.
