  • If you have been following me for a while now, you know that the Dexcom CGM has been a game changer for managing my type 2 diabetes. From the Dexcom G6 to the sleeker and easier to use Dexcom G7, I've been using these continuous glucose monitors for quite some time now. While the system created by Dexcom is already robust, there are actually ways of expanding the experience -- in other words, ways of using the information from Dexcom and putting it into different contexts. From the clinical graph in the Dexcom app we can make the data points more fun, more accessible, and easier to find in places other than the one smartphone screen. So, let's talk about a few different ways that we can expand the Dexcom G7 with the help of Garmin fitness trackers, Sugarmate, and Happy Bob! #nationaldiabetesawarenessmonth #seediabetes #NDAM #dexcom #dexcomg7

xDrip+ is also great and works natively with the dexcom standalone. Great customizability :)

happy bob is actually really motivating to me in a way a lot of other interventions aren't. I'm t2. If only i'd known that all I needed to work hard at getting and keeping myself in range was............a star chart. It's extremely effective for me. Dexcom itself was, i think, a life or death difference for me too. I was never going to be an extremely compliant glucometer user. Denial was easy. Seeing the numbers changed everything for me. I've gone from being a person just chilling in the high 300s daily and being like 'hm, i'm ok :) just feel a bit odd' to someone who stages a whole process every time it approaches 200. i use happy bob and sugarmate both, and i'm planning on getting a sugarpixel and a smartwatch. i also use the dexcom receiver. there's something about seeing it wherever my line of sight is that is effective for me.

Hey just curious if you ever had anyone with a display issue on their apple watch. Another words I have the G7 app installed on my iphone 14 and the G7 app installed on my apple watch series 4 but continue to get a "Check the G7 app on your phone" when I tap on my watch to see what my glucose reading is. Any help

I can check my current blood sugar level right on the (main) watch face of my Apple Watch 5, using a complication. That was a game changer for me since I was often too lazy to grab my phone from my pocket, open the app to check there.
Does anyone know if this is also possible on Wear OS? And if so what version are you on? Find the entire Wear OS version thingy to be complicated... The OS seems to have undergone some big architectural changes from version to version. And only few watches support the latest version.

I've been experiencing the same problem on my WearOS watch. It's a fossil 5 that I bought about 4 years ago. Has all of the latest updates, but doesn't work with dexcom g7. I heard there's a way to make the Dexcom Follow app or Xdrip to get the reading from the smartphone and display it on the watch, but I couldn't figure out the steps to install any of these apps on my smartwatch.
