The story of Ishq-e-Mamnu involves a man Adnan who devoted all his attention to his daughter Nihal and son Bülent after losing his wife some eleven years back. He lives in one of the most prominent areas of Istanbul with a relative’s son Behlül, and his children’s nanny. Adnan meets Bihter - a socialite couple’s daughter - and falls in love with her. While the story unfolds, Bihter and Behlül fall in love with each other and start their secret love affair. This affair soon affects their families adding to the problems and troubles.

Adenan is kind, respectful, and generous but those around him especially Bither, the mother, Behlül are ungrateful and betrayers.
Even sadaf said that bihter is a nice woman as she knows her from college. And in this house she loved adnan and his children at first but Behlul was the selfish one who used her and for only behlul, she did everything wrong after then. She even cried when behlul forced her first. But no body is talking about that. She was a nice woman. Her character is complexed. Her mother challenged her that's why she married adnan but adnan didn't show live to her. He insikted her infront of his servants who were actually nosy and backbiting. At that time adnan was at fault and after then she was against of all. Nihaal also mistreated madmoiselle who looked after her since childhood and Bihter also did the same but bihter was an outsider, nihaal could have done better with mademoiselle as she doesn't deserve it from Nihaal. Sad story is everyone in this house is mean. No one is innocent. And everyone claimed to love the other person but only Bihter proved that how much she loved a person in her life. She haven't done fake promises like nihaal and behlul, they both looks like a nosy, irritating and childish couple with no sense.
Exactly I also feel bad for beeter character and hate behlul . Actually beeter loved the wrong person truely. Her mother also has a big hand in her destruction along behlul.
Bhiter and Belul are selfish and very rude. Cheaters.
I can't understand people supporting these two.
What they had was not love.

Even after seeing his uncle sitting motionless in the restaurant and the stone house mess done by Adnan, they continued their affair.
