Me and my friend were talking last week..we didn't even know about this at the time btw, and we've pretty much agreed that Saitama is pretty much Japan poking fun at Superman. He has all of Superman's strength but doesn't hold back and thus is constantly disappointed when he beats his foes in one punch.

But he has the same mantra as Goku which is, fists only and so Saitama wouldn't resort to using Superman's weakness - Kryptonite. But since he wouldn't use kryptonite on Superman, Superman wouldnt take damage either. As of today, this fight would literally go until one of them get bored and decide to leave.

I don't think it's comic fans versus anime fans as much as it was fans recognizing that the entire premise of Saitama and his character so far is that NOONE can beat him. Period. His search for even basic competition is the entire plot of the manga/anime. So as a simply massive Superman fan, I can safely say that although there's no way to truly ever see them fight, Saitama would absolutely destroy Supes, if he wanted to.

Saitama beat Boros (the last villain in the anime) in like 2 attacks and Boros was almost at superman's level, superman being a bit stronger though.. That's why superman was able to last that long against Saitama but yeah, OP man is literally OP.

So as a simply massive Superman fan, I can safely say that although there's no way to truly ever see them fight, Saitama would absolutely destroy Supes, if he wanted to.

The thing is actually we don't know how powerful Saitama, since all his adversaries take one punch from him to get beated. Well except the last dude he faces, but One Punch doesn't fight seriously with him.

Saitama beat Boros (the last villain in the anime) in like 2 attacks and Boros was almost at superman's level, superman being a bit stronger though.. That's why superman was able to last that long against Saitama but yeah, OP man is literally OP.

Any MC is immortalised in their own universe, so why is Saitama so special? Goku is not meant to lose either, how many times has he died and come back? Every MC is not meant to loose, but to struggle. Saitama can't loose either but without the struggle. Saying Saitama is made not to loose is not special because "all" MCs are not meant to loose, except for Wolverine...of course. The winner should be determined by factual and observable feats not titles, assumptions or predictions. That's like determining the winner based on reputation...I'm not refusing that Saitama won, he's a parody character, Bugs Bunny or Popeye would have been a better match.
