In terms of content, I wouldn't mind if on occasion you went over some of your Bo1 decks and give them a vid showcasing them with a sideboard/Bo3 gameplay, for the ones that can have one built. usually the format I prefer to play! Edit: I'm a black mage first but its a lot less fun when everyone and their mom is also playing it. Some gruul stompy looks like a fun pallet cleanser
Great stuff! Including the Hoarder's Overflow is a really great touch, as most of the decks I've seen in this vein tend to run out of gas very easily and then can't trigger expend consistently. Hoarder's Overflow is fantastic because you can just dump your hand and sometimes draw 4 or 5 cards on your end step to completely refuel.
I know you don't play commander on the channelbut have you thought about trying to feature on other MTG channels to hopefully bring people to your channel since Commander seems to be by far the most popular content on youtube?

I know your primary format is best of 1 standard, but you can likely greatly increase your reach with the occasional foray into something like commander. Commander is arguably the most popular playstyle of magic and it has tremendous opportunities for someone as capable of deckbuilding as you. If not, that is also completely understandable
I dont really play Magic, but I really like your deckbuild reasonings, so I am watching anyway. And as for the beginning of the video, if you put your portrait to the right of the screen, it wont overlap with the cards. Currently we can't read them in the preamble. Keep up the great work man!
I started off this season with a Racoon Ramp deck and Muerra puts in so much work it's insane. Really gives slightly slower decks some much needed breathing room. I really like your take on raccoons though, consistently hitting the Expend threshold is so strong. Awesome deck Mogwai, I'll be crafting something similar in the future! P.S. As a side note Witchstalker Frenzy also fits quite nicely into this style of deck. Because it counts your opponents creatures as well it can be used defensively which has save my bacon multiple times in matches!
tbh that would make probably less interesting content😅 but I feel you as a free player that reached mythic. It’s possible but a grind. Tip: there are tools that Analyse your account collection and suggest decks.
I'm new to MTGA, and i've been playing mono black because that was the color that interested me the most since day one, but now i've been watching videos of otters, raccons and even lizards decks, but I'm still stuck with mono black, since i need like 10 mythics and 27 rare wildcards to build one of those decks (with some replacement cards even, but enough for the deck to work as intended)... I've been playing for 2-3 weeks +-, doing all the daily quests, and i'm hardly half way through it still. I reached gold today, so I would not get surprised if many people reach platinum or diamond playing a single deck, for the singular reason that they don't have another deck to play... Even my mono black is missing some mirrex and one Liliana, that i won't build at all because i want to play something else as fast as possible
Finally some raccoons! Love the deck, and I feel your scorn for bats. On one hand you have a raccoon that gains +1/+1 once per turn after you spend 4 mana, on the other you have a bat that can gain infinite counters in a turn and then pass them when it dies. Pretty poor balancing this set, so it was nice to see you shut one down
When top-decking with this deck, I think its worth not playing the 2 drop you draw until you have another play. Especially if the draw is the hoarders overflow. You have the mana to play 2 cards and this way you trigger the expend on the hoarder.
Fun deck, looking forward for more interesting and different decks (kinda tired of the bat deck too), i hope you make an otter deck, havent face one yet so idk is izzet is in a bad place this expansion or what
I tried using roaming throne with Muerra, had interesting results (not consistent enough tho but when it pops off it pops off). You see the throne costs 4 become a racoon with ward 2 and doubles all triggers from raccoons, the added thing is that it's not legendary, you could have 2 or 3 thrones on the board compounding muera (which will trigger its mana producing ability but also expand abilities) that many more times

I assume you mean Three Tree City, the thing is most games we don't really spread out over 3-4 raccoons. This land requires you to be able to efficiently swarm the board with that one type so you can generate extra mana with it, which is why I played it in the Rat deck! Here it just isn't justified, especially due to the fact that we need all of our lands to provide colors for our creatures since our 2 drops are very mana specific.
This not a criticism, I love your videos! I used to watch you back when you were doing MTG, before runeterra. But I remember you were always doing many cool Combo, Control amd planeswalkers decks, also loved watching you competing. Your grixis decks were amazing. Now when I come to check I see only creatures decks and midrange titles in the videos :(. I wish there was more styles like before. but maybe the game just changed and thats fine.
@@rafinhacoy2986 Yeah the current theme is critters, hence why each color has a lot of new critter cards. Blue/Black has rats, black/white has bats, then there are squirrels, birds, mice, etc. The expansion came out last week
How f2p friendly is mtg arena? Would really like to play a bit but dont have the time or nerves atm to grind endless hours before being able to build a decent deck.
Not f2p friendly at all. You might be able to make one singular good deck with the free stuff you start with but the next few months would be grinding 10 wins a day in order to build a second deck. They give enough gold to get about 1-1.5 packs worth a day, 6 packs to craft 1 rare which often requires 4 of each
@@ThedillydI've always been f2p. I just make sure I make 4 wins/day, and draft (or play standard events) as much as I can. That's enough to build the majority of decks that are tier 1 or 2.

Also you could probably do a very decent mono color deck for cheap but if you like creative deck building or playing more than 1 or two mono color decks then it is borderline impossible, and I usually go for 6 wins a day if I can to get the second free card. I might’ve just gotten boned once draft though
@@Thedillyd It's not the cards you draft that are more important, but the rewards. Drafted cards are just a bonus... unless you make a bad result (which happens to everyone). What I'm saying is that it's worth learning how to draft, and it's rarely profitable to rare-draft. The objective is to get enough gems to pay the next draft, or be as close as you can, and for that, you need to draft a synergistic deck. There are content creators that only do that, and you can also find draft guides online for each extension. If drafting isn't your think, use your gold and gems to play standard events. The worst way to spend gold and gems is by buying packs, in my opinion.

I checked so could tell you, its literally the next video after the one with the budget decks, works rly well you just have to get used a bit to it if you only played monocolor
There are a few cards that rotated dont build that go for the preacher of the schism instead of graveyard trespaser and change a few lands and you got it

can you make more cheap decks for beginers? all of your decks are very expensive and its make it impossible for new player to try it out
