To Paul.. Just a few tips/PERSONAL OPINIONS... To press the caliper piston in easily, before removing the caliper use a flathead screwdriver and pry between the outer brake pad and the caliper. Clean the new rotor and hardware with brake cleaner. The rotor has an oily film from the manufacturer to prevent rusting. It's ideal to buy brake pads that come with new hardware. A few extra bucks goes a long way. clean and lube the caliper slide pin and hardware to prevent uneven wear and possible screeching.... (never lube the pads or rotors, people!) Once done, pump the brake pedal before driving to engage the brake calipers/pads onto the rotor. Oh and when loosening the lug nuts, stand up. Use your legs, not your back. You're risking injuring your elbow when you've made so much progress. The reason that the lugnut was deformed may be due to the fact that tire shops typically use air-impact tools to install the lug nuts and over-impact and warp them.. And John.. Bro! Metal to metal?! Wow!!
hi paul how are you doing i like how you showed me how to change the brakes and bad rotors on a car you are my internet dad thank you for sharing that and what to do on a car thank you
We had that same problem with our van when we had to get the tires rotated and the brakes checked. Even with the electrical socket wrench they had a hard time getting the lug nuts off.
My dad could do all his work. It was part mechanic when he was younger at a shop. I think the last other generation of person to do all this I can barely even do it right now myself love it the whole process.
I recommend using a torque wrench when putting the lug nuts back on so you are sure they are torqued to the proper value. Also, tighten them using the star pattern, not just going around in a circle. Nice video though. You made it look easy.
Don’t you have to bleed the brake lines, I haven’t done brakes in a long time but we did something with the brake lines as we did brakes. How… most brakes have a safety on them, to let you know your brakes are close to gone.. he had to drive a lot more any little noise you check out.
Hope you sprayed brake clean on those rotors before you put them on. Where's the caliper grease? Where's your torque wrench?? STAR PATTERN, PAUL! Don't forget to bed in the pads!! I hope you did these things off camera, but then again, it's a Jeep. Wouldn't be right if things didn't go wrong. ... Shouldn't John be out there with you? Teach a man to fish, am I right?
You’re the only person who can keep me interested in how to change brakes for 18 minutes so thanks for the video Paul!😊
Happy to help! LOL!!

Bro! Metal to metal?! Wow!!
If you're watching this I think this is a sign we need to change our breaks!!! Safety first!!
Yes!! Do a Restore video!!! That would be awesome 👍
From a family that owns/operates mechanic shops, you did great!❤
Awesome! Thank you!
thanks for a valuable lesson Paul :)
I thought your mother in law was Roni!
Great video on brakes and rotors!
Such a great video, thanks Paul! I am sure John is super grateful!
This was such a great video!!! And it was so nice to watch you dismantle the car for some reason 😂
Thanks for the lesson Paul!
Never seen it done before. Thanks Paul.
Good job Paul. Great instructional video.
Wow!! Thanks for all your valuable lessons
I really enjoyed watching your videos Paul! 💙

Let’s restore that car!
MORE videos from Paul please!!!!
I think you should teach the girls how to change a tire. Been a long time since they changed a toilet
exactly! and we wouldn't want them stuck on the side of the road waiting for triple A
Aw I wanted to see the other side being done😢
Yes restore a car!!
Yes!

PAUL PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO WITH RONNIE OR NESSA WHERE YOU DO A COVER SONG OF SOME 80'S GLAM METAL BAND OR SOMETHING!
Well done Paul. You’re always the perfect CZcamsr. Very nice of you fixing John’s Car. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️😎😎😎😊😊😊🫡🫡🫡😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰

That's a great idea!
Ur probably the most interesting dad ever!
The is a wheel lock that's why same socket doesn't fit
Now I want to check my brake pads 😂
You are the best
Should have torqued the wheel nuts on. But Paul is a great Dad.
That sounds like a dope video I’m down internet dad lol
I broke my fave ratchet that way, so I purchased a breaker bar… and a new ratchet.
Internet Dad 😂

At this point is there anything Paul can't do
No impact driver in your tool box?
Would that one lug nut be the locking lug nut? I always need a special one for the locking lug nut
Get battery tools or air tools
Left Aaron’s video to watch this one
Do you change the rooter everytime you change the brake pads??
If you don't change your brakes consistently, it will affect your rotor. Which is more expensive to replace then a simple brake job.
My dad taught us to put the tire underneath the car as well in case the jacks don’t work or something unexpected happens.
The only thing I understand in this video is that Paul is wearing a green shirt instead of a black one 😂
I'M SO HAPPY YOUR WIFE BROUGHT YOU A BOTTLE OF WATER AMEN ❤
PAUL DON'T FORGET TO DRINK PLENTY OF WATER IT'S HOT STAY COOL
SORRY PAUL I'M GOING BLIND IN MY RIGHT EYE, THAT IS WHY I TYPE BIG OKAY.
🫶🌹

What kind of person doesn't know how to do this stuff.
A lot of people don't know how to do this stuff. They're just not interested.
Like millions😂 That’s why there’s mechanics
john is a musician not a mechanic lol but he definitely should learn every man SHOULD know this type of stuff
