Team "Highest Gaming Performance"! ..... coz I'll be sticking with the same CPU for the next 10 years for gaming. 😅

@@R6ex yeah, why not,the 8700k can run Upto the rx7700xt or the 16gig 4060ti at 1440p high or ultra without leaving much performance or any on the table with 85%of the games,n how old is it....yeah,the e5-2697v4 can boogie with Upto the 7600xt or the rtx 4060 in 85% of the titles at 1440p high or ultra without leaving much if any performance on the table when compared to new more expensive chips like the 13600k or r7 7700,so yeah,i actually do,n as a system integrator I can tell u right now that for gaming most people do not need a new chip, the only people who do are those rocking the likes of the 7800xt or 4070 class cards or higher

Thank you for this! I am looking for a new computer (preferrably a mini-PC), and hard-core gamers always talk about the Ryzen - but I'm not a gamer! So I never knew if the AMD Ryzen (7 or 9) or the Intel Core i5 were better-suited for my needs. Your video made it clear to me that I should go with the i5.

Got mine for under $170 a few months ago and it’s been as low as $150 over in aliexpress.zen 5 is looking very underwhelming as well so no sense of urgency to jump to am5. 9700x is looking to be slower than 7800x3d so they are trying to increase the 9700x tdp

it wont be slower or AMD lies on their benches then vs 14900k

    What about AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, 16x 4.20GHz, 128MB L3-Cache (Zen4) (AM5) (Tray)

while the 5700x3d and 5700x3d are great, i wouldn't recommend the am4 platform for new builders as they'll be stuck on an obselete platform and need to upgrade their motherboard in 3-4 years when it becomes outdated (could potentially last 5-6 because of how powerful it is). it still is viable at the moment and delivers great performance, but i'd only recommend it in cases of very low budget, or people who already have am4 platform up to 3rd gen CPU looking for an easy upgrade solution without overhauling platform.

For the average gamer, AM4 is still good. The average person is set with AM4. The only reason people should avoid AM4 is if they are getting non compliant Windows 11 setups like Ryzen 1000 and X370. Even then, you can still install W11. I'm using a 1700X-X370 rig right now on W11.
I am currently on a 1700X and its fine for gaming. I get 60FPS+ on campaign games and cant get 120FPS+ on competitive FPS and this is on 1st Gen Ryzen. My 5700X3D is double the FPS on the same games with the same GPU (Fury X), game settings set on LOW. The average person is set with a 120FPS campaign games, and 240FPS on competitive games. You don't need anything past 60FPS for a fun experience, but 5700X3D can do 4 times that.
AM4 is still good if you get a modern MOBO because they all have PCIE4 and EVEN THEN, most people will be fine on PCIE3.
Don't tell people AM4 is obsolete. It is not. W11 is supporting AM4, starting with Ryzen 2000 and MOBOs that use TPM 2.0:

While I agree with you on some points, I don't think AM4 is obsolete.
IF you go for Intel for example, you'll have to change your socket for the next generation anyway, so all their sockets are DOA or almost.
Sometimes it's just about getting the best PC you can afford, and AM4 can give you just what you need for the price.
But I agree that if you can afford it, go for AM5.
But people are overthinking a bit too much with the "future proof" argument, it doesn't mean shit (sadly)

I just bought this for $192, upgraded from a 3900x. the low clock speed numbers feel weird but it is very fast

@@syafiqsaifuddin1914 I am playing Wither 3 at 1440p with RT on, I have a 3070. I was struggling to maintain 60 FPS before whereas now its consistently 70+ Considering what a used 3900x still goes for, i think its worth it.

I want to go for gaming with good workstation experience in the mid-range products (Dual Arc A770 with the i912900K or 12900KS) with unique parts like the asus ryujin. but I just have the issue with my ocpd to have a limited number of brands because I hate it to have a big mix with a lot of brands. anyone help?
