- Odd sounds from my built transmission. Car has been making between 900 & 1100awhp on the street depending on who I run into, and has 20"NT05R drag radial rear/NT05R radials front (they work well!). Trans went to Shep for updating and freshening (edit, this was not purchased as a stage 4 package, merely brought up to those specs with equivalent parts since it was already "built" prior to getting to Shep the first time) with 1-6th billet gears and a GTC/Linney 9 plate clutch basket. 1st gear its virtually non-existent, but 2,3, & 5 sound like something loose, and 4th sounds like something is broken/grinding.
At any rate, posting this to see if anyone has insight on the noise before I pull it out and ship it to Shep.
It IS NOT the bell housing, and I'm done driving it.
My R35 GTR grinds on downshifts :/

I had the same sound few weeks ago! I brought my car in and my tuner told me I broke 5th. Though not sure why your would be the same as mine since you have all 1-6 i only have 1st done so it makes sense 5th got broken. My car power is at 1040whp and 870 torque. Did you get it fix and what was wrong?
Vathana Maniphan yes, it broke 4th gear! It was a billet set, but one of the very first produced.

Teeth missing of 4th gear, must have been a PPG version 1 gearset
Mine started doing the same thing about 3 weeks ago, exact same symptoms.
That 4th gear sound HURTS!
the must of not assamble it back the right way some parts must of come lose
danny ramhit I'm sure 14-1500hp would've ripped it apart long ago if it wasn't assembled correctly.
