Great video man! Trying to build my confidence to do the swap. Im ready to hit the buy it now option. Only thing stopping me is having my daily down for a couple days. My base rsx really needs a pick me up. Ive got fbo and ktuner. Have everything to do the swap except the swap itself. Real nail biter. Great videos tho!

Brother..did you use the same bolts from the z3 to mount the CRV post mount or are they different? Bolts?
What bolts did u use for the crv post mount? And are you using the torque mount that was used in the k20?
hey man do you have to swap the oil pump to fit the pan or does it work fine?
I just did a k24A swap on my 8th Gen just waiting on Flashpro. But the only sensor you have to change is the Crank sensor and the Vtec sensor behind the engine. Everything else just plug in and you can use the K24A crank pulley and need k20z3 oil pan and CRV post mount..but Everything else is direct plug in. All I'm waiting is for my Flashpro which is coming tomorrow brand new Bluetooth.
So nothing need to be transfer just a few things
In the middle of doing my swap, and I noticed that the k24a block has studs for the oil pan. How did you remove this?? I didn’t see it in the video and I’m stuck now as to how to remove it safely

I swapped my k20z3 to a K24A and it ran on its own for 15 or so seconds and cut the engine cut out now it won't start. Fuel is coming out of the fuel line and the engine has healthy compression on all four cylinders. I need to do a spark test. I was wondering if you encountered any of these issues. P.S. you're videos were a huge help when I was debating if I was going to perform the swap.

Hey I was just wondering with the side motor mount you need a 2002 to 2006 CRV post mount but what else do you need do you need the whole motor mount assembly from the CRV or just the post mount

Hey Gerb I am helping my friend with a K2.4 swap on an Acura CSX 2010 same as the civic 2010 can we pull the engine & transmission from the top rather than taking the subframe from the bottom & removing it from under the car
The vtec solenoid from k24 only has 1 plug cause the jdm motor doesn't use an oil pressure switch for vtec iirc. A usdm k24 would have both plugs I think.

What’s up man. So I just got a k24a2. Doing a 20/24 but I’m getting conflicting information on something. With the z3 pan on the 24 block what oil pump and pick up are you running? Did you have to use the z3 oil pick up? Thanks man!
the best stock oil pump for your application is the fd2 type R oil pump. it has the extended pickup just like the stock z3 oil pump but is closer in design to the k20a2 rsx type s pump. do not use the type s pump because the pickup is not tall enough for the deeper z3 oil pan. its not worth the risk. use the RRC fd2 civic type r pump. its cheap and bolts right up.
I read the that you can pin it to about 45 degree I am in Canada do you know if that can be done and is it safe to do so

Yes. K20 belt, but it's a tight fit
Also, ABSOLUTELY throw that z3 oil cooler on if you're doing that swap!

I have the k24a. I just used z3 dowel pins and it bolted perfectly, no modifications.

My Acura CSX engine blew up I bought the tax K2.4A2 engine it is a little taller (19 mm / 0.748inches)than the k2.0 can I use the TSX intake& exhaust manifolds & would it fit

Hey Gerb. Quick question. Did you have any issues with your vtec not working when you did your swap? Just did mine. No vtec. Unless the crossover just isn't as hard.

I recently bought a civic that had the k24a2 swap. It has the skunk 2 headers on it but slap the firewall hard. what did you do for the clearance issues?
he put spacers on the rear lower mount t😁
basically let’s the engine move forward up with the spacers and let’s the header clear better

I have a 2009 Honda Civic but it has a K24 Block and K20 head and now it chokes when you accelerate it. Do you by any chance know what it could be?

Hey Gerb can I use the 50 degree intake camshaft in a K2.4A2 with out any valve to piston damages
You’ll be able to run 50 vtc, but I’d have your tuner set it lower just to be safe.
Google search didn't help. If we have a 8th gen Si, will the stock ECU work? What type of tune is needed? If stock ECU is needed, thinking of using two ECUs so I can pass CA smog. One with a tune, and the original one for passing smog.

On another note, can you tell me did the OIL CAPACITY change when you used the Z3 pan?
I'm doing alright, thanks for asking. I'm just going through some stuff here and there... The oil capacity barely changed, but the k24 will take a bit more. Anywhere from 5-5.5 quarts of oil is perfect. Hope this helps
@@TheGerbsteve yes it does help thanks. I too had to swap out my K24 pan to the K20 pan so the lower engine mount could be used. The problem I encountered was the K24 dipstick didn't quite fit so I'm using the K20 for now. I estimated the oil level and have used just over 5.5 quarts (5.2-5.3 litres) so thanks again on that one.
Can I ask have you ever replaced the *fuel pressure regulator* ? ....... my dyno guy recommended I replace my fuel pump or filter as my engine was making no more power after 7K. I did what he said and we made 12whp more but he reckons its still dropping fuel pressure towards 7.4-7.5K ....

K24a. I like the torque. And I didn’t use the pump, but regret it seeing as I only take it to 7800 rpm
