50 YEAR OLD CARP! - Carp Fishing - Mike Holly

- Carp of over 50 years old are hard to find these days but its the old ones that excite me the most. Nothing last forever so adding a few really old, crusty carp to the album feels like a race against time. On this trip we found some antique carp and had a real red letter session, one I won't forget in a hurry.

So many people online say "you won't catch me fishing in London, it's full of crack-heads and people getting stabbed". I've lived in London for years and years and the only way you find trouble is if you go looking for it. Having said that, it is wise to go with a mate!! lol. You met the lovely old warriors in the Stow. Nice one!

I got very emotional watching this as unfortunately I lost my brother while fishing the lower
I’ve fished it on and off for over thirty years
It’s strange but I caught the Italian, the mirror and the last common twice in the video during my last few trips, I can no longer face fishing there myself , but love the place dearly , I really enjoyed watching never the less😊

Loved this, I’m Walthamstow born & bred and fished there many years ago. Still close to my heart as I work at the Res site at the water treatment works in Coppermill Lane behind the No.5 Great vlog Mike, some lovely fish, can’t believe that Italian is still kicking about ! I might even start taking the rods to work & have a little reminisce based on this😂 Did you go to Tommys ? 🍳🥓

One of the best videos I’ve had the pleasure of watching in a long long time Mike.
I followed a lot of your stuff and always enjoy your passion as well as your ability to angle, but I have to say watching you fish the lower which is something and a venue I am very passionate about even though I’ve always struggled on that has my fire to get back down there again this autumn/winter
If this is the quality of content you can produce and will produce moving forward I’m really excited to see what you do next

There are some 60+ year old carp in wood lake owned by godalming angling society. You should contact them about it
