I haven’t watched this show before and the first thing I notice right away (and really love) is that your answer doesn’t have to be the first thing that comes out of your mouth. On so many other game shows (maybe almost every other game show I’ve EVER seen), they ask you a question but the very first thing you say is the answer they take, probably because they hope you’ll be nervous and blurt out the wrong answer and lose. Here, your answer isn’t final until you push the button. And it makes it even more of an awesome moment for the teacher IMO when you can hear her brainstorm and figure out WHY her answer is right:)

David Mason Well, it did not that she just gave away $500,000. Wtf? These are people who did not have money before. Why would you just give it away? What about fixing up your house or car? We all know people have these issues and freak out when some handyman charges like $1,300 to fix a house. I would have just spend it on an mmo in the cash shop(w/e they call them) that I play all the time. Money well spent lol.
Actually all of her winnings went to the schools she worked for. Noble gesture indeed...
note2owns But, these are people who are not consistently rich year by year. They can use the money to fix all their issues they have with their daily life and pay all the bills and such. I never had the money and I would just give that much away? I will let actual rich people give their money away. I will just keep it in the bank and give a bunch to my family to obviously fix up our house.
Henry VIII reigned for about 40 yrs I think. I am pretty sure now QEII has now beaten Victoria's record but as of the taping of this show she hadn't

When I first saw this episode a couple weeks ago, I thought her answer was wrong because Queen Elizabeth was the longest reigning monarch. However, I didn’t realize how many years ago this episode was filmed. All these kids on the show are adults now. Some maybe even have kids of their own. Crazy how time goes by faster than it seems.
Why is it over here we say Are you smarter than 5 grader. In England they call it are you smarter than a 10 year old. Those kids are very smart.

It should be gentlemen and ladies.It would make me completely nervous and distracted for someone to constantly pace around like that.Both versions of 5th grader were outstanding, Jeff Foxworthy and John Cena did the show proud.One thing though,will there be a reboot and who would host it?
