If you tithe on net that means the government came first. By tithing on gross, you are putting the Lord first. Also my pastor used to say, "Do you want a net blessing or a gross blessing?" :) Anyway, just my thoughts.
What kind of blessing do you want from the Lord? Do you want a “before taxes blessing” or an “after taxes blessing?” He promised to pour out a blessing we would not have room to contain. I want the biggest blessing I can get; to use for HIS GLORY!
This was a great talk about time management. What does the data show regarding how our churches are growing? What’s happening in churches where growth is constant? The eye test shows very little growth is happening. Why is that? It’s not because we dont love God or people. But there has to be a logical reason. What kind of metrics should a church track? What kind of goals should a church have? What should be done when goals aren’t being met and results/fruit is not present? I personally believe ministry is heavily focused on new converts and external outreach. Which is not bad. But I believe ministry’s focus should be to equip the body for the work of ministry. If the purpose of the ministry is to equip the saints then why are we so heavily focused on external ministry? I feel that when we have a healthy body who is well fed and equipped we will naturally see more converts. Outreach is important but the first and foremost responsibility of ministry is the body. I completely disagree when well meaning people say that on sundays their main concern is not socializing with the body but ministering to visitors. I think we have it backwards. Love this channel. Keep the content coming. Can’t believe that it only had 16k subscribers.
Hey Tim. I can't speak for everyone but my husband is a licensed minister now and has a criminal history. Jesus created a new man in him and he can reach people no one else can. 😊
Hello Dr. David Bernard, my concern is about my brother in ministry, 1st he got baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ then after couple years he secondly got baptist again in Seventhday Adventist. What should we/he do for this? is there any action needed for this matter?
Well if the church would learn to follow the Bible examples set forth from the apostles. We would have prayer meetings every day so the Holy Ghost could actually do something. Too many traditions boys. God knows. Leadership is supposed to live crucified. Demonstrating the power of God. Exampling the sacrifice to God. More obedience to the word of God. Throw the traditions in the trash along with the show and maybe God will show up.
I would love to hear Bishop Bernard teach on facial hair

You can tithe on your after tax income.. just also tax on the refund as well.
