When killing one of the bosses the damage resistance increases on remaining robots so get all down to low health and then take them down one by one.
Yeah i figured that was what was going on but wasnt 100% sure about it, only done them 9 times, but everytime we did them in about the same time, i tested with a group on private world we all used auto axes and when the boss was at 40% health we switched to zweihaender we all did this without using endangerol syringer and no buffs only our melee builds, we killed them one by one and still did it in less than 1min 4 people with melee 🤣🤘
I think it would be fun to fight the bosses individually. I don’t know their exact stats but the last one Alive should have higher défenses than Earle. We don’t get too many things that are "the strongest" in the game, so it would be cool to see how fast someone could kill it in that scenario. But I agree you’ll kill them way faster doing it this way

I wouldn't say that melee will become the new meta, but I can say that the new event boss bots fall a lot quick to the auto melee weapons than they do from ranged weapons. I still prefer to take most targets from a safer distance, but those massive bullet sponges require the 'up close and personal' touch.
At least it can keep up with other weapons now
try tick blood tequila when using auto melees especially non-Vamps. it'll apply the vamp effect to your hits temporarily
same dps I get as a full health build with the same weapon, love that boss fight, my autoaxe is jug +40pwer

im normally a heavy gunner but i had an auto axe with me last night and i was being stupid trying every thing i had in my inventory. there wasnt nothing special with my auto axe or any perk cards as im set up for heavy gunner and it annihilated the bosses. one thing i was doing was trying to get the boss with not as many people shooting at it just to spread out the damage before one died. oddly i kept having the same issue with dying for no reason also.
Only melee I’ve ever messed with is the bashing minigun, imo melee has phenomenal consistent dmg. Literally the only problem is auto melee is inconsistent in vats and regular melee has a hard time keeping up with automelees even with vats. If they could improve hit registration auto melee would deal the highest dmg in the game with the fastest ttk. I Hope this gets fixed in the future a

Is there a way to leave this arena without fast traveling or exiting the world? I've done this event a few times this week, and I can never get out after the boss battle. Same for everyone else. The entire group is running around like a bunch of idiots until everyone phases out of existence. It feels extra meanspirited to trap people in an arena that awards them heavy, unscrappable loot that leaves them overweight, so they must quit the game, come back and then crawl to the nearest train station on the other side of a mountain to crush legendaries down to useable currency.
yea you can walk back out the door to that waiting area. They even have a stash back if you walk out of the waiting room and turn right.

Its funny how strong the auto axe is now but the chainsaw is meh 🙈

This game really doesn't like giving Bloodied Auto Axes huh? so far rolled 50+ and haven't gottena single bloodied, might just roll AA for now sadly

nothing has changed. shotguns, pistols, and bows/crossbows are still left in the dust by the same meta that’s hardly changed in 5 years.

I'll concede. Shotguns suck. No one should use them.
