I sold a TJ wrangler owner some old tires with non vulcanized rubber and inner tubes then I sold his JK and JL buddies a set of wooden wagon wheels and they loved it. I also sold them an old AM radio to upgrade .
We buy them to go places other vehicles can't. Also, there's nothing more fascinating than having it completely naked (no doors, no top) while driving on the beach. It's already phenomenal to be out there in your vehicle, but being completely naked as well gives you a feeling like none other.
Those doors make all the difference! Definitely going to put those on my Jeep(once I finally get one lol) I definitely can see that cruising with the freedom top panels off hitting the beach as well as off road!👍🏻👍🏻❤️
The level of excitement in your voice does a really great job in expressing your excitement for this mod. While it is a pricy one it’s on my list too from the first time I saw them.
I think the JK gen is the best Wrangler ever. It has the proper 3.6 Pentastar engine. It doesn't have stop/start like the JL. It has about the same amount of cargo space as the Gladiator. Loving your work Jeepin Jason.
My driver side rear was cock-eyed a bit too. Tried the jack method and even with a large piece of wood I wound up denting in the base of the door! Had to loosen the lower hinge to get that one off. If it's not coming with a little force, I'd say just loosen the hinge. Farks up the paint on the hinge bolts but it's better than denting the door! Have heard that it's a common issue on the 2015's. I run the Rugged Ridge tubular doors with the mesh sun shades during the summer and I love them! Excellent fit and finish and their textured powder coat is very nice. The Bestop's and their more 'solid' look is pretty nice and the possibility of the uppers is also a nice feature. And then there's the option to run them skeletonized. Options are nice!
The other upper they gave you is for their element doors. The difference is only in the fabric. The core doors and the oem mopar half doors use the same upper as your twill upper just the oem has the vinyl instead of the twill. I can't wait to have my set on this summer. I didn't like these uppers initially but in April they went on sale and i couldn't resist taking the plunge and im glad i did!
Awesome video and product Jason! Added to all the cool look and function of the best top doors is the loss of probably 50+ lbs the stock doors are SOOOO heavy!
If you’re planning on swapping the doors semi regularly, I would suggest Delrin Door Hinges. They’re much easier to work with compared to the metal insets 🤙🏼 In Canada they’re called TMR Customs Delrin Door Hinge Inserts
Great video....you've got me inspired again to make my jeep. You're building what I've had in my mind for some time. Those half doors and new tire/rims work. I see how I take hard doors and work around it now. And the hard top... I've been set on soft, but I like your jeep set up, a lot. Good stuff.
Thank you for being the first one to post a actually video about these, I have been wanting these since I first saw a SEMA video about the but I don't own a JK or a JKU, I wish Bestop would make these for the JL/JLU!
Wow, I am now famous by proxy. Always love your work and as a matter of fact I just used the water tight connectors that you used on your JWSpeaker light install. Jason give your dog a extra treat for me, he is great.

As always, fantastic review of great quality parts! Really enjoy your start to finish explanations. Thank you for the video! Your Jeep looks great and is meticulously clean.
Thanks for not jumping on the JL bandwagon ... I understand the JT upgrade , that's a totally different platform ...but JK to JL is mainly about more electrical buttons and SUV comfort .... AND JL owners DON'T WAVE ...😣
Interesting observation about the JL people... I tend to agree about the techno stuff on the JL plus I've seen several struggle with that stuff on the trails. Many of us "normal people" can't afford to just run out and buy a JL and start another build and I really do love my JK and am enjoying the process of making it even more mine by tweaking it!
@@AutoEdits funny u say that... Most of the jl owners I encounter are forced to stay factory due to the monthly payment of owning one for quite sometime... I bought my jk used paid it off quick and the mods were able to be started... You can't go wrong with the jk and your build just gets me more pumped on all the possibilities with this thing.
@@AutoEdits yes the costs of the new Jeeps is too much for a little more comfort. What kinda problems have you seen with the new JL gadgets? Do you have a video discussing that?
i recommend replacing those door hinge bushings while you have the doors off. quadratec and other vendors sell a few different poly options that work 100% better and don't get corroded and seized up like your back doors were.
I've been really happy with them... only recently took them off for a bit for a long road trip to the snow with my dog. I just wanted the ability to remote roll up and down the rear windows. Otherwise, they are very easy to live with.
@@AutoEdits Well I made the mistake of selling my factory doors (mine is a 2 door) shortly after I bought it new in '09. Sometimes I'm not the brightest bulb in the lamp. Since then I've been living with the old "Bestop 2 piece doors" which are noisy, leaky, and rattle. Those Core Doors look like a huge upgrade for me.
@@AutoEdits Installed these this morning on my two door 2009, including the twill uppers and new mirrors . My install didn't go quite as smoothly as yours. Tip for new jeepers, as a good first mod, buy some Delrin door bushings, and every time you put your doors back on clean the inside of the bushing and throw some red grease on the hingepin
It sounds like a tent in a windstorm going down the highway, but it protects your nice doors from scratches and take alot of weight off when wheeling ;-) Plus all 4 doors can fit in the boot with a fold down top.
I wish they made it with window option for more versatility. Simply as in liking inside of door popped out for that lower airflow but protecting my hairstyle and face from wind

Love the video man and the Jeep just keeps looking better and better. Cannot wait to see what is next and what I have to tell the wife that I need lol.
Jeep looks good man! Those are very tempting to buy, id buy them in a second if the upper door was fibre glass or plastic and had a hard window. Then i would be sold.
Just a tip b4u put doors back on if u take some bearing grease and a Q-tip and give your hinges a good coating it makes it easier for the removal and install of the doors
loved this video. a dog named Pinto. Toes out the do' you sound like a fun guy. im getting those doors. i thought i was the only one who used a jack to get my doors off LOL
congrats on the 1/2 door conversion! now that you have 1/2 doors, i'd suggest a used cloth soft top, try craigslist or someone parting out their JK. a suggestion, a little anti seize on the door hinge pins makes swapping doors much easier. good luck.

I considered these doors, they are the first trail door that had everything I was looking for... but for roughly the same price I got the rugged ridge tube doors and my interior line-xed instead
I know there are 2 million+ JKs vs. a few thousand JLs tends to dictate market focus, but it'd be lovely if Bestop would make the Core Doors and Glide softtop for the JL.
Awesome man! Looks sick. I always enjoy watching your expressions and positive attitude. Mine, not so good but working on it. From one Pinto to another, hope she’s well ;)
Did you know that when you purchase a jeep it does in fact include doors. And a nice feature of these doors is that you can press a button to get fresh air in too.
All true, but there is NOTHING like the joy of running half doors on a beautiful day out on the trail. Not everyone's preference but don't kink shame those of us that do like open Jeeps.
I'd hate to get rid of the roof rack but twill Trektop would look great with the core doors - especially in bikini mode. I'm glad you've stuck with the JK build, been watching since stock and it's been a great ride. Keep it up man!
I just upgraded to the 10th anniversary hood! And they look gorgeous! Our builds are very similar I would be interested to see the heat reduction hood on your Jeep!
Jason, you're my go to when it comes to aftermarket....keep up the good work! Looking forward to the next change. Is the Rubicon hood decals getting replaced or are you going with the "murdered out" look?
The comparison uppers are the uppers to bestop soft doors. I had them and it was a love/hate relationship. From the other videos Ive seen, it seems the standard uppers (non twill) have the same solid base as your uppers. My guess, maybe bestop sent you the cheaper uppers from the soft door just so you could compare the material
@@AutoEdits I was going to wait for doors to drop in price from when they first came out and they did a little, but now inflation has them coming back up 😭 wonder if would be possible to replace the panels with plexiglass so winter/rain driving would be open yet dry 💡
Hmm, Bes-top and I have been pronouncing is Be-stop. Also I would have used a little chemical persuasion on those rear door pins especially before putting the new doors on.
It’s 4am idk why I’m up but I’m glad I am. I was on the fence about these doors but after this I like them. I’m interested in how much louder it is long term. I know I’m probably gonna switch to milestars or sell my soft top because it’s way to loud with road noise. Got use to driving my fusion lol
Never got to see how the lower panels unfastened. Was the outside camera blocked, so there wasn’t a good shot? Ever since I saw Bestop advertise these doors I’ve been interested in them. Yours is the first in depth video I’ve seen. If you could remember to show how to remove the “core” part when you take them out for wheeling during your next trip that’d be greatly appreciated.
Yeah, that camera had overheated and shut off for that shot... I did shoot another bit during my road trip to Colorado. I've been really appreciating the Core Doors more and more since then. They are pretty great.
Wrangler owners are the only ones I know that remove power equip for manual stuff and love it 😂😂😂

Love the video man and the Jeep just keeps looking better and better. Cannot wait to see what is next and what I have to tell the wife that I need lol.
HAHA! Thanks and sorry not sorry!
Love it! What an awesome upgrade! Jeep looks outstanding....................
Yeah Buddy!
Total transformation. Thumbs up.
It's a fun process!
Great, thanks!
loved this video. a dog named Pinto. Toes out the do' you sound like a fun guy. im getting those doors.
i thought i was the only one who used a jack to get my doors off LOL
Great minds think alike!
These doors are awesome, thank you for saving me 20%
So happy to hear this! I truly hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Thanks to this vid i ordered these doors and currently have them at the body shop being color matched to my granite crystal metallic Jeep
Thanks Jason!
Just ordered my Best Top twill halfdoor windows that will fit my OE halfdoors and match my Bushwacker twill top!
Awesome to hear!
I'm gonna mount the mirrors on my TJ to the A frame so they're always on, with or without doors. No fancy powered mirrors for me! 😄
Good solution to the problem right there!
congrats on the 1/2 door conversion! now that you have 1/2 doors, i'd suggest a used cloth soft top, try craigslist or someone parting out their JK.
a suggestion, a little anti seize on the door hinge pins makes swapping doors much easier.
good luck.
Thanks!
Super cheap to get the replacement hinge inserts, night and day difference.

The full soft doors on my TJ sound like you smacked a tin trash can with a hammer when you close them !!!!
LOL
Wow, they look awesome!
I considered these doors, they are the first trail door that had everything I was looking for... but for roughly the same price I got the rugged ridge tube doors and my interior line-xed instead
Sounds legit... it's all about spreading out the budget in the areas that mean most to you!
Great video Jason. That looks really cool.
It's freakin awesome to drive around in as well!
I know there are 2 million+ JKs vs. a few thousand JLs tends to dictate market focus, but it'd be lovely if Bestop would make the Core Doors and Glide softtop for the JL.
I'm almost positive that is in the works!
Awesome man! Looks sick. I always enjoy watching your expressions and positive attitude. Mine, not so good but working on it. From one Pinto to another, hope she’s well ;)
Howdy and thank you!
oh my...your videos are so, so good. lol, i can't wait to get my toes out the dooooo's . very nice, thanks!
HAHA! Thanks so much for watching!
Wish this was available for the JL!
I've been watching your videos what a upgrade from that Wj u had Congratulation one day I'll upgrade to it's just not cheap nowadays
Ha! Thanks! Yeah, jeeping ain’t cheap!
This rig looks amazing!
Thanks, I'm loving it!
I'd hate to get rid of the roof rack but twill Trektop would look great with the core doors - especially in bikini mode. I'm glad you've stuck with the JK build, been watching since stock and it's been a great ride. Keep it up man!
Thanks so much for the support and yes, I'm all in on this JK!
I just upgraded to the 10th anniversary hood! And they look gorgeous! Our builds are very similar I would be interested to see the heat reduction hood on your Jeep!
Which brand heat reduction hood? I'll check it out.
AutoEdits MPR 10th anniversary! The fit and finish was great!
Great mod love it
Thanks, I'm having fun with them!
Did walk into a jeep mukbang video? lol! Love those doors! Cheers brotha!
Outstanding upgrade 👍👌
It has changed the Jeep so much for me!
How about auto edits comes to the east coast and does a driveway overhaul for a schoolteacher with his leftover parts?
HAHA! Let's put it on the schedule!
AutoEdits- her school has a auto department with a lift and the students would enjoy the experience!
Jason, you're my go to when it comes to aftermarket....keep up the good work! Looking forward to the next change. Is the Rubicon hood decals getting replaced or are you going with the "murdered out" look?
Great spot on the Rubicon logo delete... I just had a weird bug to pull those a few months ago and kind of like it!
Solid !
Looking good! Love the upgrades! :)
I appreciate that... thank you!
That's awesome! Jeep looks great!
Thanks!
I see you’ve made a wise decision of switching over to a Craftsman impact driver. Coolio 🤙🏻
I’m super happy with the new stuff from them!
Such an awesome Jeep great job
Thanks!
Nice upgrade , looks really good 👍👍
Thanks!
It's louder than stock doors for sure but I'm comfortable with the sound so far... we'll see long term together.
