for the past few days, i just keep coming back to this work of art and it's one of those songs that never gets old or watered down each time you listen to it. it's one of those songs that even though you don't relate to it, you still somehow feel so connected as if every lyric applies to you.
it's so *soulful* , and i'm angry at myself for not loving it sooner. i knew about it a while ago, but never actually went to the full song as i did a few days ago.

Why are yall pressed? I been listening to Omar for couple years now and I’m happy he’s getting the recognition even if it’s from a sped up version. But the reality if those tik tok listeners wanna listen to the sped up version, let them. There are gonna be uploads of them anyway so why not make money off it. It just means that Omar can be relieved off some financial pressure that comes from being an artist these days.
