👶👶👶👶👶 Bunch of cry babies!!! The game was not over! Guy hit a grand slam and can't celebrate with his teammates??? Not like he stole a base up 17-1. Ridiculous
You should promote your: Pitch Better, Dummy! Shirts from this aswell.
I’m sorry!! The unwritten rule is dumb!!
There is a bit of an argument for backing off.
You want the opposition to wallow in their own self pity. Do not give them a reason to focus on you. Let them keep seeing how crap they are.
That way they are more likely to keep playing crap.
Imagine Kobe Bryant coming out post match interview like "I'm sorry I scored 81 points. I should've stopped at like 40"
Awesome
I know right? What other sport does this bullshit “unwritten rule” exist in? Fair enough maybe in the little leagues 😂
Kevyn Montenegro now imagine wilts 100 points
Kevyn Montenegro or USA in bolts record run “sorry guys I should have slowed down at the end”
Well according to the unwritten rules of the NBA, you aren’t supposed to score on the last possession of the game if you’re team is up by a lot...Let’s not act like baseball players are the only babies here.
Stats get you paid, swing young man and get your money.
Pewdiepie commented on my video
Chief you play Roblox
This is a man's game. Let the Rangers cry. Racking up the HR and RBI's means more money for you and your family.
In the era of daily fantasy, stats get other people paid too. People who played him in DFS probably happy that their pricey bet paid off above value.
doggydog91 goated bruh you really think PewDiePie likes roblox? If you are over 8 you shouldn’t be playing roblox anymore.
You know whats crazy? The MLB right now would rather see pitchers throw at players, than have players, play good baseball.
Yup
I went to the Rangers-Orioles 30-3 win in 2016. They definitely didn't stop trying to score runs after being up 20-3 in the 8th inning.
*2006
Maybe they should have after 20 lol
lol and they shouldn't. A lot of teams have come back on big leads. Tigers, Indians were notorious for blowing big leads and coming back from them in the 90s.
bro that bruh that was in 07 huh? stop cappin
It’s because they hate wasting pitchers. They needs to open up the roster if every pitcher is blowing their arms 4 pitches in throwing 110. They’re pissed because they’re going to blow the game plan for the next 10 days because they can’t get any out. 🤷🏽♂️
"If you dont want us to score, stop us." - Bill Belichick
As a staunch Patriots hater, I endorse this quote.
Yeah, but who says he knows why he’s talking about?
YES
Joe Roth I mean he’s won 6 championships and had a dynasty that lasted arround 20 years and I’m still not sure it’s ended, I’m pretty sure he knows what he’s taliking about. Also learn better grammar please
Then why does Belichick put in second and third string players when they are up by 40 points?
Here’s a new rule.. if you’re trash enough to go down 6+ runs you don’t deserve to be shown any respect
as a rangers fan i fully agree
As an Arlington TX resident but NOT a Rangers fan I REEEAALLY agree
That’s how I play sports. When we got our ass whooped, you worked harder so it doesn’t happen again
Here's a new rule, play to win at all times. This aint a children's game where you have to take it easy on the other team when you're giving a beat down. it's a man's professional sport, win by as many points as you can. Stupidest unofficial rule I've ever heard of
@@HelloThere-uh3ll say that again! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
That's the thing about unwritten rules... They're not really rules. Gratz to Tatis Jr. for the grand slam. Nice job dude!
Historic comebacks in the MLB happen all the time. The Mariners trailed Toronto 8-1 after 5 innings in the playoffs but came back to win. And look at game 6, Mets-Boston in 1986. Play until the final out, never let up. Don't apologize because the other team is inept.
Unwritten rule: don’t run up the score
Written rule: team that scores the most runs wins
Unwritten rules to protect a pitcher's feelings:
- Don't steal when leading big
- Don't swing at 1st pitch after b2b homeruns
- Don't swing at 3-0 when leading big
- Don't bunt to break up a no-hitter
- Don't talk about a no-hitter in progress
- Don't step on pitchers mound when entering / leaving the field
- Throwing at a batter in retaliation is ok when a team breaks these rules
Unwritten rules that help batters:
- Nothing. Not one damn thing.
So yeah, to hell with pitchers.
@@ariesdane5876 lmao, fucking sad
@@ariesdane5876 the only one that makes sense is don't bunt to break up a nohitter
@@ariesdane5876 the only one that is a good unwritten rule is don’t but to break up a no hitter
I honestly think it’s worse if the other team starts to slack off because then it’s really sad like they don’t even care.
Here’s a rule that could be unwritten;
If you’re down by seven, don’t walk three batters. Especially when you know the fourth batter is hot for hitting homers.
Exactly
Very true 😭
Or do what most pitchers with a brain do and walk the guy on purpose bc 1 run is less than 4
@@Landshark583 i thought a walk while bases loaded is 2 runs?
@@tmakalpha1 nah just one run
I play baseball and basketball, and it’s one thing to shoot a 3 pointer when you’re up 20 with 20 seconds left in the game, when there’s no shot of a comeback. But in baseball, you could theoretically be down 20-0 going into the bottom of the 9th and end up that. Which is why this is one of the stupidest unwritten rules in all of sports
I love how baseball is destroying itself over the years.
“Pitchers historically are huge babies”

..riiight..."if you don't let me throw it by you,...I'm going to pout...and you'll be in trouble by your coach"...fk baseball
The sad thing is that that's true
@@khamjaninja.
I think if someone strikes a pitcher with clear intent then that batter should get an automatic home run rather than a walk to first. I think teams would start cracking down on baby pitchers if it started costing them a ton of runs because that pitcher just let two or three people get home because of their ego.
They are pampered from a young age and used to getting their ass kissed. Like NFL quarterbacks.
Alternate Title: “Tatis Jr. plays baseball in a baseball game”
No cap
Right tf 🤦♂️
Agreed. The point is to destroy the other team as much as you can until the ump calls the game. There's no crying in baseball. Period.
Was literally just thinking that only one player was actually playing the game lmao
@@lildad559 - Were you literally just thinking? Thank you for clarifying, otherwise I would have thought that you were metaphorically just thinking. Whew. I appreciate it. You saved me a lot of confusion.
Great video keep up the excellent work and content
Tatis does not have to wait for a strike, he has personal goals to reach, just like a pitcher does, all players should do their best till the end no matter the sport or score.
“Pitchers historically are huge babies” nothing more needs to be said jomboy
Except our king, Joe Kelly
People are missing the point. The reason the rule exists is to increase odds of finishing the game. Baseball is very imbalance at the extremes. Because there is no clock, other team can just take a fan out of stands to pitch when a score differential gets high. They have no incentive to waste arm of a pro pitcher at this point.
All the players are. How many hitters did yoh see talking to tatis?
Sam Dyson comes to mind. Another time the Texas Rangers get triggered by a home run they gave up.
Tell nolan ryan that, wait for the uppercuts
He apologized for "breaking unwritten rules" and then stole third when they were up 6-0 earlier today. Legendary.
i couldnt care if he stole third if they were up by 20. Funny in the states you get upset if your team gets beaten by a few runs or points. In Australia you want you team to score as many points as possible. This is a non story.

lololol
I was in Dodger Stadium the night his dad hit two grand slams in one inning. Not sure if he's the only one ever to do that.
I understand not swinging on a 3-0 count but if the bases are loaded and you’re up you can do whatever you want. How I was thought you’re not supposed to swing because they’re probably gonna walk you anyway and if they don’t you usually swing in the second one depending on how the pitcher has been performing all game
NEW UNWRITTEN RULE: If a pitcher fills up the bases and then throws 3 balls, he should have be removed from the game
Automatic 'SIT YO ASS DOWN" rule
I half agree but half don't. I also don't like when pitchers are removed in the middle of innings. It's like, they should have to pitch whole inning and either get out of the jam or give up more runs until they do.
@@ericdickson2065 I think they removed him so that the other pitcher would take the fall for throwing the ball behind the batter

I am sorry your pitcher couldn't throw strikes, and that when he had to throw one, I teed up on his useless fucking ass.
@W They should get better.
There is a difference between not stealing a base, or hit and running, and giving yourself up in an at bat. 5 hits is the difference between 9-10 batting average points. and the HR and RBI also will help come contract time. Should he have taken a 3-0/ well, only to the extent that players used to always take 3-0 pitches. But now, even light hitting hitters swing away.

I’ve seen the Cleveland Indians come back from 12 runs down to win the game. If the unwritten rule is to not swing on 3-0 while leading by this much, then why not stop the game with a mercy rule at some point so the other team can’t try and comeback?
"Historically, pitchers are just huge babies" LMAO
true tho
I’m a pitcher, and I’ve got to say, not all of us are like that. It’s just those sore spoiled roof high ego people in the mlb that put a disgrace to our title.
I mean he's not wrong, lol.
It's true. Throwing a pitch at a hitter is a pathetic and weak act. If you have a problem with someone, confront them about it like an adult. Pitchers who bean hitters are assholes.
My cousin and I are pitchers, and he is exactly like that, which made me not be like that lol
Honestly Tatis’ press conference should have gone “Yeah he threw me an easy pitch, so I hit it over the fence. Pitch better and we won’t have this conversation.”
thats exactly what happened too. guy was throwing shit pitches so he got punished. this is not only embarrassing for the ranger bull pen, but the org as a whole since they went on to try and hit manny now shits personal. 4 game sweep incoming as a big fu too would be nice(edit aye called the sweep and 4 slams let's go slam Diego)
kinda hard to do that with teammates and coaches chewing you out for it. so crazy
Def needed a Tim Anderson type response... lol
Honestly it wasm't that easy a pitch but a great piece of hitting. Ball was a bit outside and he took it the other way. He tries to pull that and odds say he doesn't hit a granny. I hope he hits 4 homers today.
@@batjdgman maybe for a lower tier player but he's a rising star who ANY team would kill to have. It's not like they gonna bench him or something 😂😂😂😂
Why didn't the Rangers pull the pitcher while down 7 runs then walk three batters?
Don't blame the batter.
So baseball is basically turning into: we feel bad because their players forget what sport they’re playing so we need to give them a chance of winning?
This is why so many people feel like baseball is dumb
No no it is dumb
this is why people KNOW baseball is dumb. I’d have been kicked off my college team for anything remotely like this.
Justyn Jordan baseball is damn near dead because of this. Also the unwritten rules of walking anyone with talent.
Basically what I learned from this is, in pro baseball, when you're giving the team a beat down, you have to let them come back. This is something I'd expect to see in a children's game not an adult sport.
@Barack Obama I mean i’d assume baseball is boring when u have a unwritten rules where u don’t allow players to have “fun”
Baseball unwritten rules are made by people who don’t like getting their feelings hurt
Actually, they have been made by people who don't like 95mph fastballs thrown at their star players' heads.
Thank you! Bunch of P%$$*#$
Made for teams that suck ass
Towelie thank u
@Towelie I agree
5:08 these unwritten rules promote sportsmanship. I’m not a fan of the pitcher trying to hurt the next guy up in retaliation, but culture matters. Sportsmanship matters.
I don’t think the guy who showed the most sportsmanship was the guy that said “we’ll talk to him” with a smile on his face.
People who attack the guy who hit the grand slam have never gone for a world record themselves. And those who attack those defending sportsmanship have never played a competitive sport for a coach who actually loved the game.
I have never heard of this unwritten rule and I have played or coached baseball for 20+ years.
Is this a joke? Just cuz the pitcher is trash doesn’t mean it’s the batter’s fault
Gotta remember baseball is the sport where the unatheletic guys go to have fun. It's the only sport so boring that the players all eat or chew food/gum/chew all game. Theres as many coaches as there is players. It's also the only sport that equals soccer for the whining and crying. Baseball is almost as lame as golf.
@@TheMuddman74 woah golf is way better than baseball and soccer but to each their own :D

The Home Run Leader does what the FOOK he wants.
Love this one 🤣
❤️❤️🤣🤟🏽
Acuna quote
I would like to apologize....for NOT GIVING A FUCK
Im still torn on this one.
But getting into what Tingler says "should have the sign up and see a strike there."
Yes.... absolutely.... thats the unwritten rule at the heart of this debate....
So why wasnt that sign given? Why weren't you communicating with your player in that situation? I watched this game the other day and there came a point where it was kind of collectively decided it was over. If you dont want your guy swinging there, then you still have a job to do....manage!!!!
