Can we please talk about the stem on the pinarello😂
needs a couple more spacers
I believe they said that the previous owner had back problems. But don't worry, they changed it.
Second hand Specialized Allez rim brake. Pre 2023. Best beginner road bike out there.
How so?
The higher the stem the older is the rider, the owner musst be 120y/o
The best bike I own cost me $100 USD from the seller plus ~$300 in upgrades. I've owned her for about 8 years now and am probably going to get new rims for her this holiday season. It's her dirty 30 birthday lol
Best road bike for beginners, I'd say, is the one you get out and ride on. So get out. And ride. 🤟
but first buy an entry level one for about 3 grand, you can always upgrade in a few weeks' time
I used to agree with this but not so much anymore. Get a decent enought second hand road bike with good components and that fits you well. You might spend 500pounds. But it's infinitely better than the rusty clunker that doesnt fit and that has worn out everything. That will only make someone hate cyling. Spend a little to get a decent bike that fits.
@@peterjanovcik99733 grand is more like intermediate I'd say 1k others wise you're out like 2k if you don't enjoy the sport
The one you can get hold of nowadays!
I hit a jackpot by buying a second hand trinx r800 road bike with shimano claris groupset for 10,000php😄
Obv every beginner should have the new Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL8. With SRAM Red and a power meter. Duh 🙄 probably hookless carbon rims too.
These bargains will save more money in the long run if the beginner gets into cycling and may need an upgrade. The point of it being overkill is true but at the very least, the beginner cyclist saves a ton of money.
Yeah, take me as I build my own up, my friends are like £50 or less bargain but not realise £40-150 needs spent to get it roadworthy
How did Olly find such a bargain?! That’s my dream to get something amazing cheaply!
Well.. Just bought 2019 Merida Reacto 4000 for 600€ (plus shipping for 100€) but at the end it was up to 800€ (with duty and stuff) for bike, that would be like 1400€ in my country (used) :o
Get a friend who is a bike expert to advise you on the fit and price of a bike you want to buy.
maybe in Europe those bargains can be found but here in the U.S., even used cars have historically been ridiculously overpriced compared to other countries.
Buy from elderly riders they avoid risk, like to have a good bike and from the 45km trips a bike is not worn out
A 450£ Pinarello is like saying you bought your car for 5£ (the price of the winning lottery ticket).
It’s not though. I have a 10+ year old pinarello like that. Tech has improved since then. 450 quid is not a bargain, it’s just its value.
i got specialzed allez 2014 for 500 euros my first road
Would probably help if I had any friends then I suppose ? Oh well CZcams it is for me lol
Why does GCN love to take the piss on Specialized?
most of them are stolen and sell it for cheap
Thats not necessarily true
The too good to be true deals usually are stolen bikes because the thief/group wants to unload the heat. Someone that actually owned it usually can sit around waiting for a higher price.
@@zwicker5585 Though you do have to watch out. It may not be true but it is not far-fetched.
Not good idea!
