- In todays video i install the off road floor jack kit from 911 Motorsports on my Harbor Freight 1.5 ton aluminum Racing jack. We install this kit, test it out and mount it in my trailer storage box. I will be testing it out over the next few months and i will let you know how it works. This is a cheaper alternative to the Pro eagle off road floor jack.

I've never hated it enough to spend money on another Jack.... I felt that in my heart!!!
I just put a 20ton bottle jack on top of my 3ton floor jack
Just bought a Daytona and iv held off for so long for this exact quote.
@@dancearoundtheworld5360 yes, it would cost a fraction of this cost hahaha
To answer some questions, we designed this as two separate products. The Jack Extension will work with almost any floor jack by converting it to a 1 1/2" pin, then using the extension tubes and saddle to replace your blocks of wood. Next up is the Big Wheel kit for Harbor Freight Aluminum jacks. The 1.5 ton is light and small so it makes the best off-road jack to pack around. The 2, 2.5 and 3 ton are other options, especially if you already have one. There's also a trail jack option, for those who don't go overlanding... All made in the USA... except for the HF jack and caster wheels we're repurposing.
Thats an awesome product. Need to find out now if some of the jacks sold in Europe are the same as the harbor freight ones, or should I diy my own kit. Thanks for the inspiration at least.
How did I not know that this is what you made over there??? I just pinned my foot under my Jeep on tracks after stacking blocks on my jack and having them spit out, so I need an extension kit ASAP!
I assume the extrenstion works the same for the 3 ton HF as the 1 1/2 ton? I have wooden blocks I use but those seem to be way more handy for my shop jack. I'll prob get a 1 1/2 ton for the jeep later but was wondering about the extensions for now.
@@deeiks12 From our research, most AL jacks are copies of the HF versions, which also vary. Send us some dimensions of your jack. Frame width and thickness, along with the front axle diameters will give us clues about the differences.
@@CaseyLaDelle Dude, we're neighbors! Stop in and pick up some prototype stuff!!
We got 7” of rain Saturday night, I had to swap small tires onto my FJ to get it in the barn Sunday. Started looking for a jack with big tires. Found this video, went to that site and because of this video the site is back ordered! Good times.
That's a great video! I like the trailer box mount location and shake test at the end. You did a great job of explaining the install... especially since I sent you the wrong instructions. Sorry about that. That was actually the first 1.5 ton kit to leave the shop. I'll also own my other mistake you found, the wheel mounts weren't designed down to 5" wheels and therefore don't fit the jack handles underneath without a little trimming. The next version is already in queue at the laser shop. Thanks for pushing me to get this out the door and I'm looking forward to hearing how you've used and abused it.
It takes a lot of pumps to get it up. I really felt that comment in my soul man...
Haha
Where I'm from we have a lot of soft and muddy ground. Wheels will do nothing more them get bogged down. So we take the factory wheels off and use a solid skid plate on the bottom of the jack..
Better footprint when lifting.
Y’all need to check out the “unijack” jack stand and bottle jack all in one. Adjusts to 21 inches they’re perfect I love them 1.5-3 tons maybe 6
I have that aluminum HF jack. I’m tempted to do that modification just so that it doesn’t get stuck on a zip tie when I’m moving it around. 🔥😎
Great video. Love the shake test. Your previous real world tests lead me to but the Apex winch. Using your leg to pump the jack is totally me in the garage. Loved it.
This is a good upgrade for lifted vehicles! Nicely done!
Ive used that little HF jack in so many kinds of rough terrain. Snow/ice, mud, gravel, dirt, etc. And that wasn't even off road! Its light enough that I usually just pick it up and throw it wherever it needs to go. I'm looking to get the 2 or 2.5 ton jack for my suburban though, and I can see how a kit like this could be extremely useful. I usually just use pressure treated 4x4s to use as a jack extension, but a purpose built jack would be a lot nicer and easier to use
I first saw the 911 motorsports jack extension on Casey's channel and again here, just got it, the flat plate and even got the weld on piece for the bottle jack in my recovery gear! Amazing, thanks for showing it, makes it safer, faster and easier!
Nice, good to hear
About time, I’ve never seen a better jack for trucks & suvs. Yes it’s for off-road but anything that has a higher than standard ground clearance this is ideal. I’ve fought jacks for yrs the same ways.
"JACK IN THE BOX"
Great video
thank you again this video was supper helpful for assembling the kit
Dry graphite lube works great for stuff like that without attracting dirt.
That’s awesome. Looks like quality components. Probably makes sense for someone who already has an HF jack since that is $100, kit is $200, skid is extra $20.
Wow. That is a huge safety plus right there!
This is awesome! I'm not sure how I cam across your video, but I'm glad I did. I never know this existed.
What a great product idea, just ordered one!
I need this in my life. I do all of my own work and having a dirt driveway this would be a lot easier then the small factory wheels that just drag in the dirt.
Great video! Totally ordering this kit. Thx
It has been great, still holding up awesome 🤟🏻
this was exactly what I was looking for. Great job!
Thanks🤟🏻
great video.... thanks for producing and sharing !
Hey guy glad to see this review from the Jeep cult. Was just looking at the Pro Eagle. Yikes that's pricey ( and amazing though) thanks Dandahermit
found my next project. thanks for the info.
That's a great idea. I've use the 12 ton bottle jack mostly and I need those extensions for the bottle jack. Those would be better and safer then using 2x4's.
It's safer to put blocks under the jack than extensions on top
Didn’t know a kit like this existed. Definitely a good thing and cheaper than the floor jack made for off road (don’t remember the name off the top of my head).
I'm a big fan of the "sled" style offroad jack mods but this works... 🤙🏻
Awesome stuff. I gotta do this.
I carry one of those jacks with dunnage and it works great
Interesting this turned up in my feed. I just put a long arm kit yesterday on my Grand Cherokee and noted I need a taller jack now.
And the funny thing is is now that you have the long arm on there you’ll be doing that weird wood thing, believe me it’s a lot better with an extension on your Jack …I’ll be doing the tires and wheel soon.. Just didn’t wanna spend the money on the kit but this pretty much convinced me to do so good luck
A must have for me.
Also looks like a great UTV jack!
Three Cheers! Thanks for the tip on 911 Motorsports. Great quality and actually reasonable prices. Great stuff for plasma cutting too. For future reference per budget! The kit you put on is awesome.
For the cost of the HF jack, the 911 kit, and the time involved, I'd be tempted to just buy a Pro Eagle and be done with it.
Exactly, and it will be a much better jack than a Harbor freight jack
$330 for the jack and their kit with a 90 day warranty. Wont work on passenger vehicles any longer. Ours is $409 with a 2 year warranty and the extension is removable.
@@jonross5546 I’ve had this jack for 5 years, used it countless times and it’s been nothing but great.
@@proeagle4215 what's 330$? It's a 140$ harbor freight jack and goes on sale for 100$.
@@diytacoma5758 $140 OR $100 for the jack plus the cost of their conversion kit equals $330 or more depending on the jack.
Nice setup !!
All good stuff, but some time ago while working in a power plant, we used a set up similar on the jack and split the tubing. I don't remember what the outside diameter was of that extension but I was able to find a piece of steel tubing that I pressed onto the base of the extension. Finished the job using that set up and last I knew it is still on the equipment trailer...
That's funny that's exactly how I work my Jack when I'm up under the truck. 😂
Dirtbike chain wax is supposed to provide lubrication without attracting dust. Maybe a good option if you want to lube those tires at some point.
exactly. or some graphite powder...but then again, it's a jack and on top of that an offroad one so who really cares about it rollin around all smooth? lol
Outstanding presentation. Great timing for me Dandahermit
I converted my HF by pulling the pad, welding a nut under it that holds a length of All-Thread which has a length of iron pipe over it and then screw the pad back on. I made a few lengths and it adapts to my 4x4's and my super low Civic! About 15 minutes and free junk laying around the garage.
Great video.! Thanks bud
This is good to know about 911 motorsports.
I use window seal lube for stuff I don’t want dirt to stick too.
Costco has a good jack for the garage. This one is damn cool 😎. Want one ☝️.
Way cool. I need one.
Another option is a bottle jack... hey start off taller and can be found/retrofitted with wheels. I've even operated manual bottle jack quickly with a battery drill.
lol woops, your getting to it.
Wondering if this will suit my needs as I have a dirt driveway, no garage, and slammed cars. I need something that rolls off road with a low profile
Dam need to get that kit .forsure
Cool idea
2 quick questions, in looking at the video isn't the saddle on your old jack removable and attaches to the jack like most older jacks, via a big steel post on the saddle that slides into a hole at the end of the lifting arm and secondly, do you really lay under the vehicle while you are jacking it up?
I liked this! New sub.
How much does the jack weigh now ? Maybe a stock and modified weight difference
yooooo 6:05 that piece is mandatory for this jack! 👏
But can it run over a Zip Tie? lol
Very cool!!
REAL NICE!!!
I have that jack and this kit is interesting.
I wonder if this would work on the new daytona 1.5 ton aluminum jack and instead of the spacer you use the daytona aluminum jack stand... Looks lik it could work
Gotta get it for my 4R
When it sits flat.. what is the height from ground to top of the head?
Nice video man, how much is that convention kit and Part #? Thanks!
Nice!!!
would this kit work with the Daytona 1,5 aluminum black and green model?
Well just ordered myself a 911 kit lol bit pricey but im sure it will be worth it 👌
I dig it....💪
The pro eagle offroad Jack is based off the same frame as the harbor freight jack, but with bigger wheels added and a few hundred dollars. Lol
And the kit from 911 is $200+... so you're saving almost nothing by comparison.
@@toyomatt84 agreed... Get a harbor freight jack, some bigger wheels, build a skid plate, and make it better for cheaper. Lol
@@gearheadfabworks I think you misunderstood my post. There's almost no price difference between a 3ton Pro Eagle and a 1.5ton harbor freight jack with 911's kit. Why would I bother buying the kit and a HF jack at that point?
@@toyomatt84 I understood what you said. I'm saying build your own... Don't use a kit. The wheels are about $10 a piece, build a skid with some plate and you have a jack at half the price.
@@gearheadfabworks I gotcha now. ;) Yeah, the materials needed to make one aren't exactly worth $200+.
Hi-lift DONE!
Good option as a trailer, truck bed, or offroad jack imo. For a shop just go 3 ton.
That is a killer setup, I might look into that soon! Also killed me with soon of the goofball stuff that I have done too, like the leg pumping the Jack 😂
🤣, yea it’s pretty sweet.
Just look into buying a 3 ton Pro Eagle Jack! Save your time and money!
What is the height of the Jack from the bottom of the front wheels to the top of the Jack pin?
You need a Hi-lift jack for offroad abilities
You just need to be careful when you lower the jack, it drops like a rock!
Is this kit only for that specific harbor freight jack?
Awesome video…thanks for flagging this cheaper option!
👍🏻
Sweet
Nice Kit, but expensive.
Just had hydro fluid to the jack
I wonder if the wheels only be enough to lift my stock tacoma
aswome job!!!!
I might want just the wheels because I want a floor jack to go in the dirt for side of the road tire changing
I just bought this same jack a few weeks ago, but damn that 911 kit is pricey. $100 jack with $200 of accessories.
Remember a Pro Eagle (only real competition) is like $600 lol
@@valkyriesurvives5109 pro eagle 1.5 Is actually $410.
Any concerns with galvanic corrosion between the dissimilar metals? The steel rod and aluminum housing?
As long as it doesn't see a lot of weather it would probably be ok
I store my supplies in a salt brine tank off season
And I quote: "it takes alot of pumps to get it up....". That's what she said!
🤣🤣 Nice 👍🏻
The older one may be slower but it's stronger
Confused about where the wheels and skid plates came from?
Dude I use my leg to jack the car like that too lmao!
Try some dry graphite on the wheels. Sprays on and then dries.
That’s exactly what I thought when he was talking about why greasing it wouldn’t be good.
send that jack to me, it is very useful for my non lifted midsize truck
It's a cool product but the price feels a little to high for what else is available on the market. Once you purchase the conversion/all the accessories you had in the video you are in the same price range as other options. I do really like the product though 😊
I hope everybody knows that floor jacks are just to lift a vehicle not to keep it up That's why you use jack stands.
That Jack extension looks really sketchy. I seriously doubt the parallel arms on the jack were designed to accommodate that long extension. This isn't like an extension on a 2 post lift because there are horizonal Forces at play. Probably fine on a smooth concrete floor when the jack can roll, but a different story off-road.
Wheres Robby havent seen a video of him finishing his 1 ton swap on his xj
I am sure he will get to it someday…
🤣
I hate to admit that I’m having trouble here but…
For the love of God, what tool did you use to remove the rear caster screws? None of my Allen “hex” wrenches fit in that narrow opening so I bought low profile versions and they couldn’t take the torque to break those screws loose and broke the tools. Should be simple but hitting a wall. Any help is appreciated.
Looks like I used an Allen from my craftsmen set. Just a regular ol Allen.
@@MuddyBeards4X4
Thanks for your reply. Looks like I’ll just have to grind down and shorten one.
thought I was the only one that did the leg thing to lift the jack like that
🤣
I can't find the Harbor freight Badlands 1.5 ton jack at Harbor freight?? Only 3 ton . Do you know if they discontinued?? I'm old and weak now and need the smaller one. Thanks Dandahermit
They don’t have a badland 1.5 ton. Mine is a converted 1.5 ton aluminum racing jack, they are on sale now for $89
@@MuddyBeards4X4 I see it for $135 bucks. But what does the conversion kit cost?? I'm old and crippled n can't handle the 3 ton Badlands even though the gut $299 for it. I remember last year they introduced it as a 1.5 ton and some of the reviews are still around I ain't paying $5 or $6 hundred for a Pro Eagle. I'm 80 and crippled up on So SEC. Can't do it. Smallest and lightest jack equals out to be a bottle jack, and you can carry most of them with one hand. Just seems like the added money spent doesn't really add up, hell I don't even lug my 4ton jack in my rig to begin with.
Or just throw a small piece of plywood on the ground and use a 4x4 wood block as a spacer. For about free. In accordance with a jackstand of course.
Dang if this vid was made a few days ago I would say harbor sells off-road jack badlands no need conversion almost similar price
I will have an updated video this week, comparing this and the new badland jack.
