  • In this video I talk about placement year salaries in London and outside of London. I also talk about how much industries such as investment banking and the big 4 make as a placement student. I am a Loughborough university student currently on my placement year in industry. I am working for a mid-market private equity firm and living in London.

Hello, Jacob! What is your opinion about 3 main skills for intern placement? What about building LBO financial models, whole undestanding of industries(consumer goods, oil&gas, telecom's , pharmaceuticals, etc.), negotiation skills?

To be honest I jobs are not looking for those skills, I mean it’s super helpful to have it but they would be equally as impressed with sports and other achievements so I wouldn’t stress about learning LBOs etc. however, if you are interested in that space I would say go for it. There is no right or wrong answer. I hope this helps
