Watching the Lakeland trot around was almost like watching a mechanical toy dog. The action and the grooming was so perfect it made you question if the dog was real.
I don’t understand the grooming on that dog, like can the poor guy see?
@@LexiJayCyeah. You can say the same thing for standards like the Old English Sheepdog, but it’s how they’ve been bred into standard, otherwise they probably wouldn’t just be walking.
I love it how all the dogs r like "youre going too slow" and all the handlers are like "i need my inhaler"

The expressions on some of these dogs' faces are just so adorable I can hardly stand it! Also, the Lakeland Terrier has such an unusual and cool look. Love them all. 🐕🐾

Really loved the Kuvasz, and the Doberman as well as the Short-haired Pointer. Those were the ones that stuck out to me personally, but really a lovely bunch of dogs all around. I watch the dog show with my family every year.
I had never seen a Kuvasz before. She looked somewhat like my english cream golden and had a smile the whole time.

Great to see Pyrenees in this role, all stunning ,special their beauty on all levels outstanding; but my heart and money goes to Rescues in life threatening situations, yes find AKC breeds there too.

The Kuvasz was my personal favorite. Beautiful.
I'm really pleased that the Kuvasz won the working group. This breed is very uncommon and rarely gets placement.
OMG Just like "Best in Show" the greatest movie of all time- the guy with the terrier has 2 left feet!!!!!
Peanut, hazelnut, cashew nut, macadamia nut…..
I don't see a whole lot of love directed toward the dogs on these dog shows. If my dog won, I'd be hugging them and praising them. Definitely more love needed. Just saying.
Most of those people are professional handlers. The dogs get very good treatment and many are beloved pets who live with owners.

Love this clip. So nice to have the judge miked to hear his comments. Absolutely Abhored NBC's coverage of the show this year! Didn't know who won reserve in BIS til now. NBC's broadcast group coverage was beyond awful, with cuts to slides as they talked about the characteristics of each group, so we didn't see the dogs enter. Why not voice-over those characteristics so we could SEE the actual dogs enter, and a full line up?!?
Love sighthounds, my speciality is the Whippet, but love deer hounds too. The judge is wearing O2, so obviously has an issue. Trying hard to stay active and participate for which I applaud him.
Wow this dog is absolutely beautiful 😍. I love the dogs. I'm so proud of her. She did great. Both of them. The owner must feel so proud 👏

Just a suggestion, put the name of the breed of the dog in caption on the screen.
They do at the very beginning of the actual airing when the judge is first looking the dog over. But I assume you mean it should have been edited for CZcams to have the breed name somewhere at the bottom of the screen for each showing. (In which case I agree because I occasionally like to look up breeds afterwards).
I also wish they would edit to show the personal names of the dogs. Some had fun names like Kodak and Rhapsody.

Can anyone out there explain what the judge is looking for specifically when he is examining the breeds? I’m interested in how such different breeds can be compared, and what sets apart the winner?
there are written breed standards, and the judge looks at how well they meet the respective criteria! of course there are some things that apply across all the dogs; he asks to see the mouth every time because they need to have a full healthy set of teeth.
