I want to give all these dogs a treat.
Inbreeding human= 🤮
Inbreeding dogs= good?
Animals treat like objects! I feel like in circus!!! Desgustig. People are cruelty creatures.
yes!!!! I showed my parents dogs at a young age . I miss showing dogs
Dogs are a gift from god.
Absolutely 🐶🐕💗🙏🇦🇺
Actually they are a product of evolution then breeding as this show clearly and beautifully celebrates. I share your enthusiasm for them though 😊
Vraiment magnifique tous
Yes!❤❤❤❤
The poodle is fabulous and Kaz is a marvelous handler . Congratulations to him.
18:11 "Most of all, whether it's a house dog or a show dog, 'cause you make our lives whole."
The Afghan Hound was my favorite, he/she seemed to be having such a good time❤️
I hope this encourages people to adopt black dogs. They are often overlooked in shelters.
As are black cats,. but black labs are very popular
All of them were great but my vote was for the afghan hound
I LOVE the amount of affection Kaz showers on the dog - on the table, getting ready to do the down & back and on the go around. And then when they win - the first thing he does is hug the dog!
My two favourite breeds, the Shepherd and the Poodle. I have been a Poodle owner for years and they are the most wonderful dog!
My daughter got a poodle and my entire family “poodled up”. 3 standards and two minis… so far. 🥰
@@susanroutt6690 Hi Susan. I've only ever owned the toy breed. My beloved Christian passed away last August. I've been called a "Poodle Snob" because I won't consider getting any other breed. That's fine by me. I'm having some health issues right now and I am on the mend. As soon as I am in a better position, I will be looking for another Poodle. This time though, I have decided to go the rescue route. Cheers Susan.
I’ve never watched one of these, but I stilled teared up at the end. Such a great story - and what a dog!!
I don't understand why in the US they show Schnauzers still with ears and tail cut. This is cruel and forbidden for long here in Europe. I'm a retired prof handler.
Been acceptable for decades, & done for reasons. I'm a dobie fancier, that is their " look" don't need w/ them ! U may have th perfect conformation specimen bt won't win here in US bc AKC standard calls for be cropped& docked. Not cruel, tails done 2-3 days after birth, ears under anthesia,& properly cared for will be fine. Th bushy tailed like, Corgis, Springers, Welsh, Clumber, Ausies... actually look better w/ tails. But I prefer cropped docked Scnauzers, Corsos, tails off rottw. & ears off AmStaff..
All dogs are beautiful. Sage, congratulations. Excellent job to Kaz!!
The German Shepherd was awesome - the way she runs is a trot! All beautiful dogs!!
Only th Germ Shep has that " flying smooth effortless gait"
Beautiful!
👏👏👏 congratulations. 45 yrs of showing dogs! 🐩
The same handler also won the 2002 best in show with the miniature poodle Surrey “Spice" Girl. He is dedicated to show the breed!
Oh no way!
Do you think he'd volunteer his children for my pure breeding program?
Kaz Hosaka, handler of Sage, been in showing 45 yrs, specializing in toy & mini poodles. Has may Breed & Group wins. He's retiring, may be was sentimental fave.
Spice beat Mick the Kerry Blue Terrier, the first dog to win both Crufts and Westminster. (Mick won the latter in 2003.)
I'm looking for volunteers for my pure breeding program. Do you think he'd let me pure breed his children? Or would that be unethical?
Mercedes was my Best In Show!! Such a beautiful German Shepherd!!
Seems like they rarely choose the larger dogs
Mine too!
horrible disfugurement of the breed
I agree!
Me too - elegant, beautiful and useful!
Best line up for best in show ever! All the dogs were amazing! Happy for Sage since I have a poodle myself. 😍 Loved the German Shepherd too!
What an incredible group of finalists. I grew up with Poodles and German shepherds and my mother was an AKC breeder. They were a part of our family and I would watch how she would study the histories and lineages. When I saw the poodle stand after being placed down by her handler and trot off I knew we were looking at perfection. As the poodle got comfortable with the applause she radiated elegance and happiness and showed incredibly. I so badly wanted to see the Giant Schnauzer win as I now own a Giant Schnauzer but that Poodle is perfection. The German Shepherd had one of the most elegant strides I've ever seen in a German Shepherd but the Poodle was absolutely fabulous and immaculate. Congratulations to all those beautiful dogs and handlers. Congratulations to the Poodle and what a wonderful achievement for the handler who is now retiring. I was crying happy tears as well 💓
Glad to see someone understands what dog shows about. Its not about which is liked by one that owns a breed, & think that one should win .
And those poodle hating bc of show clip, are ignorant. Sage was groomed to perfection , & Mercedes, th gliding smooth effortless gait..
Kaz Hosaka, Sage handler, retiring after 45 yrs. He was in his 20s, I knew him when I was showing Irish Setters, in 80s. He had many wins w/ toy& mini poodles,
Les caniches on du caractère
Gorgeous German Shepherd 😍
Perfect type, effortless correct gait, breeders are breeding back to correct type, not over angulated over sloped, roach backed , as were
Afghan hound was most gorgeous but they can’t win every time I get it
LOL that beautiful little poodle had such a poof of hair she almost looked standard and she was carried everywhere
Thank you Sage for bringing your A game so your beloved handler Kaz could retire at the top of the mountain!!!! Stunning poodle handled by a dedicated handler!
Yes
Sage was the ugliest dog there. Not really her fault though, she is a show poodle and humans have ruined many a dog by making them show dogs. She’s a useless ornament who wont even walk to the show ring. 🤢 in no way is she best in show
Thrilled for Kaz! I remember when he first came to the US to work for Annie and Jim. He has worked so hard over the years.
I knew Ann Rogers Clark , poodle breeder, first Westm win was w/ toy Poodle. After handling became all breed judge, of some over 100 breeds, I probly showed my Irish Setters at that time in 80s, she may have judgedthem . I think she was judge at Westm. more then any other. She was called " A national treasure". Passed in 06.
German shepherd is the best❤
Loved the Giant Schnauzer, but they all looked as they were trotting - or floating if you couldn't see the legs because of the long coats - on air. Pure charm and grace.
Each of these dogs need a whole anime, cant tell me that gandalf of a shih tzu isnt a inter-dimensional floof mop that cleans tiny planets with cuteness
😂😂😂😂
Judge is giving Carol Burnett energy. The evening wear always kills me.
Right?!? 😂
Me Too. 🇦🇺
This is our Oscars, Super Bowl, Tony Awards, Emmys. We get glammed up for it! :)
The ugly cheap shoes always kills me!
Waiting for the Tarzan yell.
6:56 Reserve Winner Mercedes GSD, such a beautiful dog breed. Congratulations to Sage, Mini Poodle, Best in Show.
German Shepard was amazing. What a beauty🐾❤️
Just amazing the judge got not only best in show correct but also the reserve. Truly amazing Westminster Show indeed. I love dogs so much !!
All are gorgeous❤
These dogs are amazing ❤
God put dogs here for us to enjoy. They love their human !!!!!!
don't let Khristy Noem in the building.
She was disgusting for that
Lol politics. Always ruins everything!
GSD’s & Poodles have been my favorite since childhood.
I love POODLES 😂❤❤🎉
For me it was the Giant Schnauzer. Just perfection !
Absolutely! i might be a little biased, though. 😁
They all been judged best of breed, group win, all are fine representatives , comes down to showmanship at this level , Sage certainly " asked for it"
That was an impressive Schnauzer.
@@SG-mj3dj He certainly is !
The Giant Schnauzer was my choice too! Just stunning.
Beautiful miniature poodle shown so well by her handler.
All the dogs and owners did an amazing job ! Congratulations to the runners up and a special and heartfelt congratulations to Sage and Mr Hosaka! Last Show what a way to go out! Don’t get no better then that!!❤
Omg comet’s hair is incredible !!
Such a beautiful sport. Congrats to Sage!
Congratulations Koz, Annnie is smiling and knew you had what it took. She is stunning
I remember when Kaz first arrived here, Annie talking about his complete obsession to learn and do well at handling. That's what it takes to succeed.
Great Sage❤❤❤ lovely!!!
That poodle has style! Love her afro
I've shown dogs; even if it was just in 4-H. Both obedience and conformation. And I will say without a doubt that the dog(s) who win WANT to win. They become very competitive being on the show circuit. And they often compete against a lot of the same dogs. Friendships between dogs develop; also rivalries. It's a marvelous world to be in. I miss it! Some of them actually get snobbish, over proud of their own success. Never doubt they enjoy competing. If they didn't; they wouldn't be winners! And these dogs are LOVED!
Yes they do enjoy th attention, are crate trained frm puppy hood, I showed Australian terriers, & Irish Setters in 80s, was a fun world, course we're rivalries, between breeders of same breed, who's dog(s) were best, & critized behind their backs to others. "that dog shouldn't have won, look at its bad hocks, top line, ear set, eyes, ...etc.they could be catty ..but there were get togethers, dinners socializing after th shows
I was into terriers,& showed at th all Terrier Show in NY day before Westminster, & Montgomery County , Pa. They were good times !!
'a big night for the ladies!' haha I absolutely adore this commentary
So much work, so much training, so much stress, so much dedication. You can see it all over his face, this meant everything to him.
Beautiful German Shepherd 🥇❤🏆🇦🇺
45th Westminster showing and goes out on top. Congrats!
Sage was perfection ! Kaz Hosaka, 45 yrs showing at Westminster, what a way to go out!!
I remember when Kaz was starting out I was showing standard poodles 4 championships I had finish their Championships. Tim Brazier was my handler for 2 and the late Bob Peebles helped finish the other 2. Loved Kaz so gifted. Sad to see him retire.
The ladys are CHAMPS!!!!
There was no competition. The poodle ate, and left no crumbs.
"ate it", 😝 old fogey here, just learned what that meant !! Yes is true!!
Yes!!!!! I love my poodle and all poodles. I really love the Pumi. I want a Pumi
Great show. That haircut helped the winner.
She's ACTUALLY made her choice. (As opposed to conceptually making her choice, presumably.)
I LOVE CANICHES💕💜
Respect to manger. A master!!!
Beautiful animals❤
Wheres King Clarence? I want a recount!
Dadimir Putin dropped the ball and totally sabotaged him AGAIN!
He had serious chances at his class☝️😁
Wonderful ❤❤❤❤
Super Best!!!!❤❤❤
IAM SO PROUD OF U ALLLLLL
They're all good boys and girls!
Great way to go out! ❤️
Sporting group a cocker spaniel, I just can't picture a Cocker Spaniel bringing a
duck back to me! Them poodles always win, always. High maintenance and
beautiful and I might add so very smart. I had a Terri Poo and she was so smart,
the smartest dog I ever owned. Wendy was her name and her mother was a
pure bred poodle and there was an opps and we got Wendy. Anyone of these
fur babies could have won their all exceptional. I love them all but my favorite
I think is the Shih Tzu as this one doesn't take their eyes off the handler. They
so aim to please. I love this one
I appreciate Kaz carried Sage 🐩🥹
GIVE A HAND FOR ALLLLLL OF THEM....NOW IT TREAT TIME GIVE THEM TREATSSSS ALLLLLLLL DAYYYYYYYYYYYY
My sister and her husband had 3 shepherds they were in search and rescue
Poodles are magnificent
German Shepherd is my favorite dog.
The German shepherd is the only one I like. I think the fancy cuts look weird.
Congratulations Sage!
I’m crying for Sage
She is so beautiful ❤
King Clarence all the way.... if you know, you know!
❤ no 14 my favorite.
Bravo to all
congrats to all the winners well done but where is the afghan hound breed judging it.s no where to be found
I wanted the German Shepherd to win. I wish the hair style wasn't such an influence on who wins.
No it's not only th condition of th dogs hair/ coat, also conformation , that's why are moved, hair can cover faults, but not thmovement/ gait.
🏆🏆🏆🏆when you're first dog ever was a long haired chihuahua ❤previous dog black haired miniature poodle and current amazing dog is an apricot toy poodle! Well my poodles never could compete with such fantastic hair do 😂😅😂😅 Amazing breed absolutely adorable Well done UK 🇬🇧 😊
So very, very, happy Mercedes won the First runner up. The reserve winner. She was absolutely gorgeous. Loved ❤ her. Congrats to Sage. She was precious. 🤗⚘️⚘️🇺🇸✌️🙏🌟🌟🐾🐾🐾🥩🦴
Yeah!
Congratulations Sage!!!
Beautiful!
Beautiful
The. True. Love
Esse poodle é máximo, me fez lembrar o Tony Tornado 😄
Congratulations 🎉
Beautiful dogs. I always hate the poodle cut tho . They need to do the natural cut. The styling just looks stupid to me . 😢
Is that Carol Burnet?!😮
Wonderful group of dogs! I wonder why the Crufts winner didn’t compete here ?
😮stunning ❤
Great dogs! Especially my favorites, Germand Sheperd and Miniature Poodle ❤! Congratulations 🐾❤️!
#1 for me Micah the American Cocker Spaniel. #2 The beautiful Shizuh
I’ve never seen, not even a video, a German Shepherd ever herd anything
Lovely Mercedes is local to my area. Yeah! Nice for Sage and her "Person", but I'm not a Poodle, regardless of the crowd's preference.
Are not picked by " crowd preference" they all. almost perfect examples of their breed, judges opinion which comes closest to breed standard . Mercedes did deserve Reserve, Sage certainly " showed her stuff"
Would you care to post the Afghan Hound Breed Judging?!?! It is missing from Day 1. Come on....
It's on the Westminster Kennel Club channel
Así no está el especial de la.raza ya lo busque

Breed judging was on U tube
I saw it on U tube today Fri 17
I’m sick of the same breeds winning. A similar breed won in 2020.
Meanwhile many breeds have never won. The first show was in 1877. And the Labrador Retriever, actually all the retrievers, the Shih Tzu, and multiple other breeds have never won. This is a disgrace. There’s too much favoritism over certain breeds. And it has to stop! It’s fixed.
2020 was a Standard poodle. What u got against poodles? They win bc are showy, put a Bassett against a poodle, poodle will out show, unless is exceptionally better in conformation t Bassett. Most wins are by Wire Fox terriers, Pekes, Scottys& Poodles. Depends on competition. who's th Best representative of its breed.
The Best in Show is the dog that comes closest to the standard from all the finalists. Then they have to show well the day of. I understand your sentiment but it all has to fall into place on the same day. If you watch how the miniature poodle showed, she was exceptional and she looks like perfection too. She's just well trained and has tremendous poise and elegance. It would be unfair to deny a win just because a standard poodle won in 2020 imo.
@@amorgladiador8856U got it.. to me was toss up , Sage& Mercedes, th edge may have went to th showy poodle, perfect grooming & Kaz Hosaka retiring .
@@Memow-pk1ng I agree. Mercedes was my other choice. I think the judge was spot on with both choices. Mercedes and Sage just were on point the day of. It's called Best in Show so the winner has to perform well on the day in addition to winning their segment for being closest to the standard. I think some forget they also had to win their group.
This isn't "everybody gets a participation" award, it's the Westminster Dog Show! Dogs are judged against the breed standard, and their performance during the show.
Horrible how the breeding has taken the German shepherd from a level top line dog, to this low slung back and multitude of hip, elbow issues. Shameful. That dog could not work long before breaking down.
The announcer isn't lining up properly with the dogs, these dogs should be announced and immediately hit the ring to the applause. Why does it matter? Because the dogs catch that applause excitement and give it their best, coming out at a smattering of claps doesn't do that, just look at how the German Shephard reacted and then the rest. Someone should have caught that
Does the Cocker Spaniel, very pretty, also know how to flush birds? I worry Cockers have lost their utility.
Poor Shepard has to go to work after this and fight crime!
