  • Boyes Drive was closed today 09 July 2024 due to flooding from heavy rain. The pass opened again around 17:30. I recorded a few sections where flooding occurred.

    So good to see Cape Town councils managing the flooding and deluge so well.
    The sand bags certainly help direct the flow.
    I reckon we're the only province where these services work for the people.

      There have been reports, it's awfull for the residents there and more must be done. People need homes. Cape of storms is not a joke. ​@@dingtonia

      It used to rain like this back in the day for many years. This was known as the 7 day rain in July. This is nothing new.

    Due to the flooding I was stranded at a Bordello up in Boys Drive. But I got tea & biscuits afterwards 😂

    This is what we oldies remember. Would rain for weeks on end. Burnt many nappies in oven as we had twin boys. 😅
