  • This is a chick born to a pair of new parents. Because the parents are completely inexperienced, the chick died. Although they reached out to help, the chick died because the parents did not feed for a long time, resulting in weak physical strength.😥

      That was an observation on my part and I’m a natural healer, rescue & rehab wildlife and domestic animals. I spend my days intentionally healing and helping sick people and animals and that’s my life.

    In the future, for the really weak ones, it's really helpful to feed a mix of karo syrup (corn syrup) or sugar, and water. About 1/4 cup of karo to 1 cup of water, with a pinch of salt for the first meal or two, fed with a paint brush. If you try to feed a dehydrated bird food, it's tummy won't push the food through. Thinner food for weak babies, and tiny bites. Better luck with the next one.

    • @eagleseye4396
      @eagleseye4396 Před rokem +8

      Yes, right. Actually, the cause of the chick's death was because he tried to overfeed it with a huge amount of food in the chick's mouth which led to the blockage of its air passage. I'm a finch breeder myself, and I would see the parents feed the newly hatched chicks with just little crushed seeds with lots of liquids out of the parents' crops. I think he just tried to revive it which is a thumb up. Next time, try to mix the feed formula with a little bit more water and just give the chicks just a little from time to time until their crops get ready to receive more.

    So many comments that he's being to rough 🙄. This little chick is so tiny & he's being as gentle as possible. If there was a camera in the chick's natural habitat, everyone would be yelling at it's mother to be gentle. It would be raining on the chicks, the mother would be stepping all over them, & sometimes if one is sick, the mother will just leave it to die. How's that for gentle? Everyone is so over sensitive about everything. He obviously knows what he's doing & is doing his best to be gentle......

    This is so cool bc I have a society finch named Oreo she is a female I have a male zebra finch so they have eggs but they won't hatch so I like this

  • @pinkmarshmallow666
    @pinkmarshmallow666 Před 2 lety +4

    I believe that the baby bird doesn't need food shortly after hatching. It can get nutrition from the remaining egg yolk that it has absorbed before hatching.. don't force it to eat like that🥲 what they really need is heat.

    You can see where this little one hasn’t fully absorbed it’s egg yolk yet, normally birds absorb their yolk before they hatch. That makes me think this little one was premature

    I have a led lamp bulb I painted the cap black and drilled extra air holes in the bottom of the cap. It is a 5 watt lamp and a great bird warmer. Greetings from the kingdom of Eswatini.

    If I'm not mistaking the bird just hatched meaning it doesn't need to eat yet cuz it is still digesting the yolk. So force feeding is not necessary

    So tiny. I can't believe your able to care something so tiny. Amazing. How it able to breathe when feeding aren't covering it nostrils. it does have nostrils yes no?

      Many new parents have no experience in raising chicks. In this case, I can only try my best to help. When the chicks are born, as long as they are not born with congenital abnormalities, they will have the organs that birds should have, but they will be smaller.😊
