Lived in Columbia since 1997. Wonderful place to live.
    Muletown coffee is incredible!
Marcy Jo's is overrated but they serve the best coffee because it is Muletown.

Lived in Columbia my entire life. In the 90s it was dubbed "Cr@ck Krountry". We even had a "serial unaliver" on the loose once, that unalived 2 women until the 3rd one got away and told who it was. That was a scary time. It was a fun place to live when I was a teen in the 90s. Now it's horrible. Too many people live here, traffic is insane and the shops they have are really for tourists and the newcomers. There is nothing to do for teenagers. They took away the Mall and the skating rink. Not to mention you used to could rent a 3 bedroom house for $600-$800 a month. Now it is upwards of $1500 and up, but the wages haven't gone up to match the cost of living. The only people who can afford Columbia now are the newcomers, especially the California people that has taken over our once beautiful and quiet town. Lastly, don't believe the hype. I know everyone has their perspective of this place, but it's a boring place to live, unless all you want to do is go around the square to the tourist stores if that's your thing.

Muletown maybe 15 to 20% natives and 85% implants and getting a city vibe now with bad traffic like most old historic towns that didn't plan on 70% population increase. Ouch see Spring Hill and Franklin

I think there are negatives and positives to any town, but I've enjoyed living in Columbia and I think that's worth highlighting.

Liz, I liked your Franklin video better. Instead of giving the real feel of Columbia, it was more like how many retail shop commercials can you fit in 3 minutes. Not very informative or entertaining...

This was our first video, so it's a little rough. Columbia has also changed since we made this. Thanks for watching! As far as Columbia goes, we haver a video on Maury County Parks which is still relevant, also you might enjoy our vid on Mt Pleasant.

We'll I can say I definitely don't miss living on Highland Ave. Was there for 5 years. Now I'm in Mt Pleasant and we love it. Columbia has its rough areas and chilled areas. We only had one incident with a person pointing a gun at someone while standing in our yard. After that, we started making moves to move. Plus we can't afford to live there anymore anyways. I'm sure the new money will give the police more funding and repair the roads, right??
